In 1927, Lioe Lian Fa envisaged that in time to come, indonesians would require the
services of qualified opticians equipped with the technical expertise to prescribe
vision corrective lenses. Taking origins as a watch and writing instruments outlet, the
establishment have evolved into a reputable optical store in Pasar Baru, then the
commercial heart of Jakarta.
Originally named Tjun Lie and Company, it is the stepping stone for the Foundations
of today's state-of-the-art and leading professional eyecare specialist in Indonesia:

The Professional The Innovations







OPTIK SEIS is the only optical retail store in Indonesia engaging fulltime, professional
and duty licenses Doctors of Optometry. Customers are assured and guaranteed of
accurate eye examination.

In addition, OPTIK SEIS staffs undergo extensive and rigorous in-house training. They
are also sent to practitioner training schools to enchance their knowledge and skills.
These are strict prerequisites for OPTIK SEIS staffs before they attend to customers.

OPTIK SEIS team of doctors is led by Dr. Handa Kurniawan. He received his Optometry
Doctorate degree from Massachusetts College of Optimetry, USA in 1976. Dr. Handa is
a member of various distinguished international professional bodies which include the
British Contact Lens Association, the American Public Health Association.

He is also a charter member of the Section on Contact Lenses of the American
Optometric Association, a Founder Fellow of the Faculty of Dispensing Opticians
(FFDO), Foundation Fellow of the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (FBDO)
and a fellow of the Association of Dispencing Opticians (FADO).

Over the years, customers have entrusted their eyecare needs to OPTIK SEIS team of
more than 300 professionals, optometrists and opticians.

The History





2016
This year, Optik Seis launched another Italian luxury brand of fashion and
eyewear, part of the Gucci Group, which is owned by the French holding company
Kering. Founded by Guccio Gucci in Florence in 1921, until today Gucci remains
to be the biggest-selling Italian brand. At the beginning of 2015, Gucci embarked
on the next chapter in history, under the creative direction of Alessandro Michele,
with the introduction of a new contemporary vision, which is reestablishing its
reputation as one of the world’s most influential luxury fashion brand.
2017
In March this year, we are proud to introduce another prestigious eyewear known
all around the world. Acquired by Luxottica since 2007, Oliver Peoples is now
officially launched and it is part of the luxury family at Optik Seis. Founded in
1987 with its first store in West Hollywood
and the introduction of a retro inspired eyewear collection. Oliver Peoples frames
are handcrafted from the finest quality materials, in colors and styles exclusive
to the brand. Frames are manufactured in limited quantities and with deliberate
anti-logo labeling which appeals to refined consumers. Their glasses all have a
vintage-inspired design mainly because this is fashionable but also because
creative director, Larry Leight, is fascinated with vintage eyewear.

Following the success of our first Signature store concept at Mal Kelapa Gading 3, in 2016 we opened another two Optik Seis Signature stores, one
in St. Moritz – Lippo Mall Puri, and another in the new urban-segmented mall, Neo Soho. Like the first Signature store concept, these two also
showcase a wider range of sungglases from our luxury brands from Dita, Tom Ford, Prada, Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani etc in
a more luxurious interior appeal. Early this year we are proudly to reopen our flagship store at Melawai Raya No.65, the four story building is now
fully renovated and is now the biggest Signature store of Optik Seis with 300 Sq m space on each level. Inside each Signature store concept, a
lot of wood element is implemented to create that warmer feel. Most of the furniture are brought in from overseas to make the store stand out
amongst other retailers. There is also a 3D eyewear holder using our own in-house 3D Printer. We implement an open display concept for customer
to experiences a different way of shopping, customer can have a better look at the eyewear and try by themselves. We made the Signature store
concept more into Hi End with a lot of custom ornaments and accessories to make the stores more attractive for customer.
