IPL revAMP – approved by the Indiana Utility Regulatory
Commission on March 4, 2020 – is IPL’s seven-year plan
to invest $1.2 billion in the modernization of IPL’s electric
grid. Most of our modernization plan includes upgrading
and replacing aging equipment, hardware and other assets.
As a result of this plan, IPL customers will benefit from:

≥ Fewer outages and shorter duration of outages

≥ Improved reliability

≥ A more resilient system to face growing energy
needs

Our revAMP plan will occur over the next several years,
which means IPL customers will see crews and contractors
in their area. An interactive map was launched with
ongoing and planned work so customers can stay up-
to-date on projects and planned outages.. Visit revAMP.

Testimonials

Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra

On behalf of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, its musicians,
board, staff, volunteers and from all those enriched by the ISO,
I want to thank IPL for their partnership as Title Sponsor of
Yuletide Celebration since 2014. IPL’s commitment to the ISO
has been extraordinary. We have been inspired by the energy
in the house on the IPL buyout night of Yuletide Celebration,
and by the collaborative efforts of our two staffs to creatively
support the promotion of this production. Most recently, the
ISO is especially grateful to IPL for sponsoring a virtual Yuletide
experience in 2020, Yuletide Memories, allowing the ISO to
continue to serve the Indianapolis community with holiday
cheer and activities, reaching more than 100,000 individuals
through a virtual advent calendar. Thank you, IPL, for ensuring
this holiday tradition continues for years to come.

Gleaners Food Bank

The COVID-19 pandemic has stretched the capacity of
nonprofits across the human services spectrum, none more
than food banks. In Indianapolis, we’ve seen the number
of households served rise to nearly 4 times the number
served this time last year. For our fiscal year that ended in
September 2020, we provided twice the number of meals
to families in need as in 2019 – more than 68 million meals.
Gifts from leading community partners such as Indianapolis
Power & Light came at a critical time as we were ramping
up our distributions and our food purchases. This gift from
IPL helped to provide the equivalent of 200,000 meals
to hungry Hoosiers, many of whom are experiencing food
insecurity for the first time.

The importance of having IPL as a partner was crucial during
the pandemic for many reasons. IPL sent the message in
Spanish of their assistance program, we were able to reach
to the Latino community that were affected during that time.
With the support of IPL we could create the Indiana Latino
Expo Show on Telemundo and YouTube during the pandemic
and send the message to Latinos in Indiana in the areas of
education, health, workforce and many more . For first time

Mexican flag in partnership with the Mexican Consulate
and ILE we had over 300k views on our live video. Mexicans
represent 70% of the Latino community in the state. This is
just a few of the many things we did. IPL is an amazing partner
for Latinos and Hispanics in Indiana and we are grateful for
the impact they have in Indianapolis.
