Ms. Hyun Joo Julia Lee Head of School DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE As we approach the final quarter of the 2023-24 school year, it's a time for reflection, celebration, and anticipation of what lies ahead. It's been truly heartwarming to witness the remarkable progress and active engagement of our students throughout the past three quarters. Their growth and development have been a testament to the dedication of our learning community—faculty, parents, and administration in harmony. We're thrilled to announce some significant milestones in the journey of LCMS. Recently, we hosted blessing ceremonies at our BGC and Makati campuses to mark the expansion and relocation of our school—a momentous occasion that underscores our commitment to providing exceptional Montessori education. The open house event provided a wonderful opportunity for parents to experience firsthand the nurturing and transformative environment we cultivate here at LCMS. We're immensely grateful for the support and enthusiasm shown by our community. One highlight of the quarter was the field trip to Sta. Elena, where our students had the chance to immerse themselves in nature, surrounded by the cool breeze and wonders of the outdoors. This enriching experience, meticulously planned and executed by our dedicated teachers and supportive parents, left a lasting impression on everyone involved. As we embark on the fourth quarter, we look forward to wrapping up the school year with a spirit of gratitude and celebration. May is a month dedicated to giving thanks and honoring the cherished bonds of family, with Mother's Day and Father's Day celebrations. In June, we'll come together to celebrate the achievements and growth of our students, marking the culmination of a year filled with learning, discovery, and countless memories through Parent-Teacher Conferences and the Recognition Day celebration. We are thrilled and looking forward to the end-of-the-year celebrations! Thank you for being an integral part of the LCMS community. Together, we continue to nurture young minds, inspire curiosity, and foster a love for lifelong learning.

On March 13, just before the Open House Event started, a Blessing Ceremony was held at Little Clarion Montessori School Makati Branch. This simple yet meaningful ceremony set a positive tone for the day, bringing everyone together to seek grace and blessings. Ms. Rachel Maale led the Praise and Worship service, with Sir Jairus Saldajeno accompanying her on piano. They guided the attendees in singing "Lord, I Offer My Life," "Give Thanks," and "The Blessing," enhancing the ceremony's spiritual experience. Pastor Yun Cheon Seok shared insights from 1 Samuel 16:1 NIV, explaining its relevance to modern life. He encouraged everyone to seek guidance from a higher power, reminding them of the trustworthiness of a divine plan, even in uncertain times. His words resonated with everyone, urging them to maintain their faith and approach the future with courage and conviction. In her welcoming remarks, Ms. Hyun Joo Julia Lee expressed her gratitude to the teachers, staff, Pastor Yun, and all the guests who graced the Blessing Ceremony, reflecting on 15 years of God's grace. She emphasized the educators' duty to inspire faith, nurture hope, and serve with love, wishing continued blessings for LCMS. In a heartwarming first, select students, led by the hymn's composer Sir Jairus Saldajeno, performed the school hymn ‘Hymn of Little Clarion.' Their voices resonated with unity and pride, perfectly capturing the essence of the heartfelt lyrics penned by Ms. Julia. The closing of the ceremony was marked by a prayer led by Pastor Yun. His heartfelt words invoked blessings upon the school, its staff, students, and families, solidifying the spiritual foundation. With a sense of renewed purpose and faith, the LCMS community turned their attention to the Open House Event, eager to share their blessings and excitement for the year ahead. BLESSING CEREMONY
We are thrilled to share the exciting highlights from our recent open house event at Little Clarion Montessori School! It was a day filled with warmth, exploration, and celebration as we welcomed both familiar faces and newcomers to our school community. Our open house provided a fantastic opportunity for parents and students to immerse themselves in the diverse programs we offer. From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted with open arms and guided to explore the rich offerings available at our school. The CSPA and All Care booths were bustling hubs of activity, providing valuable insights into our after-school programs, which encompass a unique blend of performing arts, mathematics, and English language proficiency. One of the most memorable aspects of the event was witnessing our students take center stage to showcase their learning journey. Parents had the pleasure of observing their children engage with a variety of Montessori materials, demonstrating their creativity, critical thinking skills, and academic achievements. It was a proud moment for both students and educators alike, highlighting the transformative power of the Montessori approach to education. In addition to our current families, we were delighted to extend a warm welcome to guests eager to explore what our Montessori school has to offer. It was a joy to share our educational philosophy and values with those considering joining our close-knit community, fostering connections and building relationships that will enrich the lives of all involved. Adding an extra layer of significance to the event, we also held our school blessing ceremony. It was a moment of reflection and gratitude as we sought blessings for the school, its students, teachers, and staff. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and positivity, further enhanced by the presence of a delightful grazing table that added a sweet touch to the festivities. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended our open house event. Your support and participation are invaluable as we continue to nurture and inspire the young minds at Little Clarion Montessori School. Open HOUSEEVENT
Venturing into different areas of the farm, the students were treated to exciting and enriching activities. From the serene tranquility of feeding farm animals to the exhilarating rush of riding in a traditional carabao cart, every moment was a chance for discovery and delight. For the more adventurous souls, opportunities abound, including horseback riding, ziplining, and maneuvering through rope and obstacle courses, bringing out cheers of exhilaration and triumph. EXPLORING THE ANIMAL KINGDOM: A MEMORABLE FIELD TRIP TO STA. ELENA FUN FARM BY RENEE MARTINEZ Last February, students from both Makati and BGC Campuses had a go on an exciting adventure to Sta. Elena Farm, a sprawling agricultural haven nestled in lush greenery. This field trip was meticulously planned to complement our ongoing theme about animals, aiming to provide children with an immersive experience and a deeper understanding of farm life. Despite encountering a brief spell of rain, the enthusiasm of our students remained unwavering as they eagerly anticipated the wonders that awaited them at the farm. While waiting for the rain to subside, our resourceful teachers organized engaging art activities in designated areas, ensuring that the children remained entertained and inspired. Gathering for a well-deserved lunch break, the students shared stories of their newfound experiences, their faces adorned with smiles that mirrored the joy of the day's adventures. After a nice picnic with their parents, teachers, and friends, it was time to bid farewell to Sta. Elena Farm. Winding up, it was evident that our field trip had achieved its objective of fostering a deeper appreciation for animals and farm life among our students. As we boarded our buses and began our journey back, hearts and minds brimming with memories, we carried with us the spirit of curiosity and wonder ignited by our unforgettable day at Sta. Elena Farm. The children reveled in the opportunity to participate in fun games, fostering friendship and laughter among the students. As the clouds parted and the sun peeked through, signaling the resumption of our adventure, excitement reached new heights. Ms. Maria Renelynne Martinez Assistant Director Academic Division

NURTURING TALENTSTHROUGH MUSIC AND VISUAL ARTS BY:VERALYNCRUZ-CERRER Time flies so fast and a lot has happened during the third quarter. Exciting events took place when Clarion School of Performing Art collaborated with LCMS and CMTI for a meaningful workshop with our teachers. We invited Ms. Diana Alferez last February to share her knowledge in arts and taught our teachers the basics of drawing and painting. It opened our eyes to the beauty of one’s creativity and motivated us to use this as a tool in encouraging our students to be confident with their own creation and express themselves through art. Drawing and painting are examples of visual arts where it refers to art forms that express their message, meaning, and emotion through visual means. Like any drawing/painting, it represents a great story. These are the kind that meets the eye and evoke an emotion through an expression of skills and imagination. Mr. Jai Saldajeno was also invited to talk about the Essentials of Music. His workshop evolved around the theories of sound and application through ethnic musical instruments. They say that music is therapy to the soul and this workshop added color to the dullness of our understanding about how music is created and used in our daily lives. We sometimes disregard the sounds we hear, but if we listen carefully it plays a big role in our daily lives. Music is an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony and color. This workshop promoted friendship and discovered talents among us and most importantly it inspired us to share every beat of our happy hearts to create a pitch perfect class! These workshops were initiated by LCMS Management to promote Holistic development. One of LCMS’ mission is to develop the Child Holistically and we believe that every child develops in different ways, may it be through cognitive, emotional, social, linguistic, physical and spiritual development of children through the inclusion of Montessori program, music, art, dance, and theater in daily student activities. LCMS offers a wide array of enrichment classes to encourage children to discover and nurture their talents. Our goal is to make children embrace their uniqueness and individuality through art and music. Ms. Veralyn Cruz- Cerrer Assistant Director Program Development Division
