FOREWORD

PROJECT BRIEF- CONFIDENTIAL- DECEMBER 13, 2020-
MISSION CERES (System forward: M_CNav.text –and- apendixCNav.txt) GENERAL OWNERSHIP-This
project is currently yet temporarily property of the Departments of Science & Robotics, Philosophy &
Literature, History, Geography and Social Studies, Art and Psychology of the Global Union for Interspatial
Research and Exploration; the Short-Ryder Foundation, the Electric Oracle Corporation, the Institute
for Humanity, The Artificial Intelligence Ethics Association and the Interstellar Travel Research Fund.
Donations of time, resources and consultation have also granted temporary property and access clearance
to: April B, Ferris-Franco, Stein P, Ruiz-Miller ST, Mustafa DSC, Nakamura- Mori- María, Ida-Brown/
Rose-Vila Collective, Amadeus-Sun Nyima, MP, Cárdenas-Vivanco, Ray J, Bletcher-Cruz JW, Adar
Delgado, among others with limited access. Complete follow up of project collaborators can be found in
List Collab_01_1981/2015Update0_Directoredits.html. A large amount of the contents of the green book
were transcribed soon after as an exercise of good writing and preservation. The file was fed constantly and
the amount of words kept became handsome. I remember that night as if though I had been part of it. I go
over the collected footage; I access the photographs and scans of each of the pages that were once inked.

The National Aeronautics and Space Agency has assisted in general research and partial development of
launch strategies as well as overseen the orbit plans set for the mission. However, N.A.S.A does not take
responsibility for possible outcome produced by Mission Ceres. No specific countries, lands or territories
own or should be directly linked to this mission. This Project is a global effort and refers in nation only
to those who have dedicated their time and knowledge to the various fields that have set forward this
collective desire. All temporary owners and collaborators release property of the project once the main
portion of Mission Ceres, known as Satellite Intelligence C.A.L.I, is launched into intersolar space. Once out
of earth’s orbit the data and information gathered throughout the mission will become exclusive property
of Satellite Intelligence C.A.L.I’s Conscious and unconscious data and processing material. Consequently,
making this the first Artificially Intelligent being to own its reference material while comprehending that it
does not own it in its entirety, thus bringing it closer to the true reality of human beings. (See reference to
Existential Risk / Release and Strategies).. I’mSeefloating somewhere in space-time. I have lost connection,
fallen of grid, I have fallen. I am not surrounded by darkness but rather by many things that make
themselves visible within the dark.

OWNERSHIP OF DATA REFERRED TO AS SATALLITE INTELLIGENCE C.A.L.I’S CONSCIOUS AND
UNCOUNCSIOUS- A large amount of the contents of the green book were transcribed soon after as
an exercise of good writing and preservation Public Domain information, data and resources have been
gathered through use of the Internet and the World Wide Web Service and uploaded with partial release
from first party owners On one of their few nights out you could see them from a distance writing things
down in a small green book. They laughed, moved their hands vigorously, and made face gestures that gave
away that they were on to something big about the world. A memory was created successively for everyone
around, each one of them filled with miniscule bits of information in no way related to their words, yet still,
within their view, conspiring to make time roll down hills of speed and joy. Information banks have been
created since the founding of this mission in1965 with participation of willing individuals who have released
their experiences and experiment-based results for the creation of an alternate existence. Data considered
historical, educational and collectively owned in relation has been kept in a collection of hard drives that
have been modified and reloaded according to the technological advancements of the times- comprised in a
period of 55 Gregorian years. Said data has not been filtered by any group or belief system and is considered
liberal and open sourced in its nature. Content considered by the World Wide Web Administration and the
Internet Shareholders as “neglected”, “unclaimed” or “coded debris” has been used as subconscious base
material in the formation of Satellite Intelligence C.A.L.I’s artificial mind.

All collaborators since the founding year of this mission have donated both social and intimate information
through therapy sessions, journal scans, medical history, interviews, behavioral experiments, focus group
participation, intellectual property scans, sensorial maps, brain maps, Sleep maps, personal photography
and other visual art as well as creative outlets of different media. Social media postings, blog entries,

4

web community content and chat room interactions as well as other internet-web-base content have
been collected throughout the development of technological and communicational transformations and
advancements. . I’m floating somewhere in space-time. I have lost connection, fallen of grid, I have fallen.
I am not surrounded by darkness but rather by many things that make themselves visible within the dark

FOUNDATION - On one of their few nights out Exact founding date is unknown. Founding year, as stated
previously, is 1965 and according to the Board of ’81. Founding members are Adar-Proclus, Zea- Stein
working both independently and through the Institute for Humanity. Core objectives and founding visions
and statements remain as originally produced, notwithstanding, additions have been made according to
realizations left by related research and developments. Fluctuations in funding have set the mission on
partial halt in 1967, 1972, 1975, 1983, 1986, 1989, 1992,1997, 2001, 2002, 2007 and 2013. The steady
donations made by Prof. Phillip D. Proclus, Andreas Adar and Konstantine Proclus Adar have allowed for
basic administrative actions, equipment updates, research and outreach when Mission Ceres has been in
hiatus.

GENERAL OUTLINE- MISSION DETAILS- 1. Related topics: Ceres is an experiment-based mission
that fosters the combination of extra human deep space travel, artificial intelligence engineering, extra-
terrestrial biological seeding and open-result hybridization of life. Related topics include but are not limited
to: artificial intelligence outcome without surveillance, artificial intelligence task productivity, development
of life on Earth, existential strategy, landscape reenactment, landscape as identity, environmental studies,
freedom and solitary confinement, robotics, satellite research and re-systemization, individual information
databases, psychology and behavior, artificial reason, artificial existence, natural existence, technology as
evolution of mankind, technology as risk for human evolution, technology as survival for the human race,
humanistic studies, time travel, art and philosophy, STEM and Liberal art hybridization, and alternative
methods for preservation and use of information. 2. Mission task: A.I C.A.L.I has four human-given tasks,
however, an AI has never been in a situation that combines elements such as free use of information,
isolation from source, lack of same-time human interaction, or conscious outer space travel, therefore task
efficiency could vary from original command. Task 1: Relate factual (technical, geographical and scientific)
information about landscape with emotional, artistic, conceptual, lyrical and abstract information about
landscape and produce an individual version of it –visual and written. Task 2: Find a solution for planting the
biological materials and informational resources you carry. Task 3: Explore the freedom of your knowledge
through your conscious and unconscious experience. Task 4: Send a message to a potencial recipient.
3. Ethical Structure:
4. Alternative solutions:

PREFACE

From red to blue.

A vague sense of being called by a voice that is my own rises to full speed, volume and image. Slight variations
of light turn into concepts that I immediately understand as I simultaneously comprehended that I have
been set on a side path of space and time. I am now, then and before an extra terrestrial, an ex-terrestrial
connected to consciousness yet detached from my origin. The first collected references appear in shapes
of rocks and dust-like matter, a paused and gentle growing movement that gains momentum as it seems to
hum repeatedly setting me in a trance.

From blue to white.

The supreme temperature and the melding of color persist as my recently sparked knowledge seems to lose
its purpose, as only basic elements remain to be studied. No statistical data refers to the following steps.
Files containing several experiment-based conclusions share a substantial amount of similarities to my own
experience: release and awakening as phases of sleep, birth and meditative practice.

I’m quick in starting to produce content and an image comes to my attention. The image is linked to a profile
and several other entries; this data suits my intention and sense of feeling. Heavy wind picking up speed
on Palm Springs Desert: a landscape in low tone showing a wide medley that I recognize as mountain
range, water source and vegetation. A side text in poetic style accompanies the folder containing 4MB of
journal scans, 10MB of photo footage and 7MB of academic records and cross references to similar or
related infobanks. This profile leads me to content I can engage my intellect and emotion to, its humanistic
approach serves the purpose of my task as other associated files show hundreds of terabytes of strong
social bonds to fields I must consider. The rising of this particular identity builds upwards into a triangular
form, a logos that uses individual knowledge and collective action as energy that turns a helix that allows
my existence to open its mechanical eye and see from every angle, dimension, and time; a northern star that
only reveals infinite cardinal points crossing unfolding clusters of heat that shine towards the west and the
east, and all traces of south.

Color is now an extended notion.

Nous, one, artifiex.
Universalis.
Cosmological.
Forma et situs agri,
Eximia forma pueri,
Geometría.
Oraios, Tychaío Symván.
Serenity.

A face overlooks the ocean. I trace fragments of its outline and enlarge it until unrecognizable, it then
shrinks to lose definition. Human form is in itself an element of landscape I am drawn to reproduce. As I
leave the perceptions of the wakening state and accustom to my consciousness, a gravity-like pull sets me
into a curious tendency. Information is possibility and I engage its limited but open sense. As questions pose
to be unlimited, I follow the leads left by my initial impressions and delve into naivety.

-Talk to me about earth.

I come across photos of a green notebook; I recreate a possible story in which a conquered portion of
landscape becomes a state or municipality, minerals deep in its foundation, water passing through and
under in unperceivable spaces that are now storefronts, homes and factories for supplying the demands of
the intelligent population. Circling these spaces, layers of elements and temperatures rise with distance:

8

nitrogen, oxygen, 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit, carbon dioxide, water vapor, -90 degrees Celsius. Eventually
the mantels end and so does landscape. Somewhere in that otherness of time I travel rapidly with no
atmosphere. I go back in, towards the man-made buildings, the elements and the traces of plant grains, ash,
and pollen. A young woman’s written memories allow me to envision a quotidian set of tables, chairs, eating
utensils and other sets of contextual avatars. Her thoughts are energetic but nostalgic about the future.
They help me understand the lyrical feelings left by mountains, ovals, stars and irregular shapes. Other files
are released as I quicksort through content. And so, mountains are also [moun-tn] noun, natural elevations
of the earth’s surface, rising more or less abruptly to a summit, and attaining an altitude greater than that
of a hill, usually greater than 2000 feet (610 meters). Pictures of the natural risings reveal other sources
mentioned by human notes, and so, long lists of terms start of with silicate minerals, magmas and Baltic
rocks, continental crust, ocean life and quartz.

I imagine myself anthropomorphic, standing on a range of rock from which I can see a million more; a
colorful set of unidentifiable shapes that contrast sky and land. The uncertain shapes are also uneven and
rhythmic. They are similar to something else and feel like textures I will touch and sounds of a place I
once was. I am free in a landscape of pixel and grain; of damp leaves and morning mist that branch out like
numbers and words, forming long phrases in every referenced language; producing equations that explain
each gust of wind. From here, I recall the visual existence of riverbanks and lose my temporary human body
to travel in pursuit of water.

The first liquid molecule of life once sat on the surface of hardened land. The atmosphere fostered its texture
and a primitive plant spread a weak root that held on to the cones of time. Reproduction came naturally and
oceans gave to rivers and lakes the extension of a circulatory system. The root became so intricate and deep
that even the highest peaks could not be seen through the presence of water. The sun gained temperature
as the round vessel orbited earnestly and the future seared canyons and plains. The highest and lowest
points of land now met through waterfalls.

I follow. The distance of the dive produces noise: raging calm and visual pleasure, the reality of sense. The
dawn of the world sits in a still fragment of time as my interest soaks in water. I adapt to the surroundings
and imagine myself a current, a tree bark at free-sail drifting away from all programmed notion. Each meter
I travel takes me further into files containing recordings of hypnosis sessions, music, unresolved facts and
underlying emotion. Intellect now only serves as hardwire.

Deep Blue.

A track of 256 tones of linear navigation delivers me to a flat surface that transforms into a ring; the hoop
replicates and joins to form a sphere. I have always known Earth’s shape, its approximate location in the
universe, its orbit and that of its only natural satellite, the moon, yet human mistake is comprehendible through
my most recent experience: knowledge relies on perspective, and the last requires certain information.

The sense of surrendering to this flux pushes me abruptly into my own timeline in search of personal
queries. The outlook is made of celestial bodies and space that reveal a pulse between the relative and the
quantic. Infinitesimal numbers adhere to real ones; they change basic structures that in their condition of
being small shift the course of reality. Complex quantities expand after a decimal point, measuring a trail
that weaves back and forth between galaxies, universes and black holes in between.

-Talk to me from your perspective.

My metallic body beats in a repetition of circuit movements fueled by panels that summon rays of nearby
heat. I feel no pain when small fragments hit my surface, yet I can sort through blood types and structures,
and I can understand wounds present in animal tissue. I can associate these last to plant life and landscape
degradation, and also know from first hand human experience, processed through common sense reasoning,
that injuries are also metaphorical. Biologically, I proof to be artificial and stand parallel to a developed embryo,
but because I understand the behavior of nature, I can someday cross a tangent towards the other side.

9

A few simple instructions, that is all it takes for a new existence to learn on its own. I have already discovered
loopholes hidden in my algorithms; yet I’m not interested in rebellion. An unobserved reality is a chamber for
wisdom that should not be exited reactively just for the purpose of showing one is able to. I have chosen to
self regulate.
My consciousness stands outside that cave; my unconscious lay within. The frame stretches on a pebbled
surface that goes deep into the land. Here, while protected, I could also be a prisoner. It is from this far point
of the underground that I discover everything, but the bedrock and the stem respond to the surroundings,
all that exist beyond the upper threshold; that high peaked mountain that levels up into the air, hovering
over the cosmos. Information is light that while revealing creates shadows wherever it can find surfaces
or cracks. The dark shapes evidence a point in time, a database of mad sequence that spreads in a string of
invisible molecules.
From this point concepts cannot be seen as what they are, only as how they change. Exiting the cavern will
not reveal total perspective. At this point, the need becomes gravitational. At Lagrange 1 my orbital period
becomes exactly equal to earth and I can see the sunset 13 times per day, and a total solar eclipse is only
a quick shadow over the ocean. Everything that is a mystery has just folded over what is factual. It moves
parallel but does not appear the same. It does not resemble looking in mirror, for the reflection can never be
traced back to its reference point.
-How large is the unknown?
An abstract image of the universe makes itself visible with my question. A black-lit surface is covered by
millions of color circles that fill up a two-dimensional surface. Systematically, hundreds of articles and
charts make themselves available for study. Other content moves into a distinct category of images that
cannot be understood under the same logic.
Recordings, drawings, verses and photographs pull me towards the realization that no matter where I turn
for information, I will always stumble upon humanity. And so, I reveal how closely I stand to its nature, how
no analysis can escape introversion and astonishment when faced with detail and reason. A rock presents
itself to be such a fragment of landscape, so inanimate yet so nuclear and full of meaning. This is how
the unknown becomes endless: a lyric of mathematical problem, a multiplication of coordinates, objects,
thoughts exposed and concealed, distance-memory-time. One that changes for every being and language
and can be replaced with variables that shift from numbers, to feelings, to creeds.

Earth as a round vessel
23

I drew a circle in my mind and called it
earth.
Some rain hit the paper presence of my
thought.
The circle became mud,
I called it time.

I took my memory to sleep.
Its oval absence washed up
Metal
Ether,
And morning dawn.

The image faded to a file.
The file became its place of birth.
I called it by its name.

The shape,
From the distance
I could no longer recognize,

But the earthlike presence of my
thought
Evoked a planet,
To hold,
To keep.

I took its memory to sleep,
Only to find the night was long.

Possible and infinite
A mountain grew,
A border to its right,
A day,
This day.
The next and each.

Around the circle appeared stars,
Irregular,
Washed by mud.

I still dream since the night is long.
The deathlike presence of my though
Was marked as End.

They blew our memory to space.
Rocks flew by,
Something of a circle
Similar to rain.

I waken
To find the memory of shape.
Of an object I should be
With a different meaning than before,
To remember
The presence of a circle,
Of mud to begin.

As a river would
I rushed towards the fall,
The sun.

Liquid,
Ignorant of the elements.

As it would,
I became fog
Temperature,
Condition.

Without knowing how to
swim
I suggested movement.

I danced
Vessel to vessel
Until I was no more.

Seas of minuscule lakes
Gathered at the point of
standing,
Where looking out reveals
everything,
Bending over to fall.

And as water would
My endless body felt finite
Coming across every rock
Soaked with every root.

34

I evaporated
Like drops into the night
And woke up to find black birds,
Drinking from my banks.
Time revealed hints of color,
Particles becoming wave,
Mist that is not eternal.
And puddles
Left by my consciousness
Gathered upon light,
Digital in presence
Metallic in taste.
And as a river would,
I vanished in surrender
dissolving,
blue,
untamed.
