CAPE TOWN
BMW NIGHT RUN

01 JAN 2017

Another event which is gladly making its way onto our Annual calendar is the meet-up and drive on a summers night in Cape Town.

Cape Town is by far South Africa's most bustling city over the festive period with tourists and holiday makers from all over the country visiting the
city.

This would be the 3rd 'Summer Night Run' and this time we decided to get together at the Cape Town Stadium and then drive along the popular
Victoria Road coastline through Camps Bay and into Hout Bay.

The said meeting time of 20h30 saw a lled parking area with Beemers from old classics to the newest M4GTS joining in on the fun.

MAGAZINE LAUNCH
at

SANDTON AUTO

3.0CSL

The Sandton Auto BMW Dealership was our showroom
for the rst of the Gauteng 'Magazine Launches'.

Sandton Auto was previously known as Hyde Park Auto. Hyde Park Auto's origin goes back to 1993 and was previously known as Lyndhurst Auto Hyde
Park. The name was changed when John Rayner purchased the business in January 2003. The dealership has a rich and very successful history. It was
the leading seller of BMW Approved Used Cars in South Africa for four consecutive years: 1999 - 2002. The business is also one of the leading retailers of
new BMW passenger cars in the country.
In 2005 Justin Divaris a well know young business entrepreneur purchased the business and subsequently moved to "State of the Art" premises in
Sandown Sandton. In late 2006 Hyde Park Auto became the 1 st BMW dealership to acquire a black economic empowerment partner namely Paul
Phume. The cornerstone of the business is Service Excellence. The After Sales division services approximately 50 vehicles a day and it constantly strives
to achieve the highest service levels. The Parts department plays a major role in supporting the service department supplying parts and accessories to
the public and wholesale.
“Our vision is to continually evolve a business that embraces our democracy, providing equal opportunities for all, striving to be the preferred place of
business for both our customers and employees through service and employment excellence. We uphold the values of Service excellence,
entrepreneurial air, integrity, recognizing and developing people which provide the ingredients for a healthy long term relationships with our
customers.”
SABeemer has been here before when we did a feature on the M3 as published in our previous Launch edition of the magazine. Thanks to the
welcoming enthusiasm of Sanjay Ajhoda, Koraysha Padayachee and the rest of the Sandton Auto team, it was a truly fantastic day.

As with the 2 previous launches,
we had a list of beautiful cars
lined up to join us on this day.

SABEEMER BMW RUN JHB
22 JAN 17

A day after the launch at Sandton Auto we had arranged to do a run for fans from the Gauteng region, as most of the runs that we have done
were in KZN or Cape Town thus far.

The plan was to meet up Sunday morning at Woodmead Retail Park, then drive via the N1 & long stretch of N14 Freeway towards Krugersdorp,
then though the windy green valleys to Magaliesburg.

At Magaliesburg, we arranged to spend the day at Sleepy River - a beautiful resort nestled away in a natural setting for families and friends to
enjoy the day.

Im glad to say that South Africa has very good scenic roads all around this beautiful country, and not just in the Western Cape as we all have
become so used to.

Facilities included spaced out braai areas, a huge open eld parking area, swimming pool, kiddies playgym and more.

Capital Air, which is a helicopter chaufferring service - also joined in the fun with offering visitors a helicopter ride above the magnicent
Magaliesburg parks for a discounted fee.

The caravan and camping sites are supplied with electrical points and
braai facilities. and set amongst trees and near to the ablution blocks
which contains toilets, baths, showers, laundry basins and sinks. Swim in
the large sparkling swimming pool and then relax or play games on the
surrounding expanse of the green lawn. There are paths for those who
like to walk and enjoy the natural scenery with lots of wild birds to gaze
at,
Magalies Sleepy River is centrally situated in a malaria free area. In the
area is Horse Riding, trips down a Gold mine, Restaurants, Galleries,
Antique Shops, Hiking trails, Ostrich farm, Tea gardens, and they belong
to the Magalies meander.
