A Moral Value Story for Kids

Once, in a village, lived a
shepherd who took care of a

flock of sheep.

One day, the shepherd noticed
that a wolf was eyeing his

sheep. From then onwards, the
shepherd was very careful in

watching over his sheep.

He started looking after his
sheep with extra care. However,

the shepherd noticed that the
wolf just sat not far from where
his sheep were but never tried to

catch any.

The shepherd felt strange with the
situation but was relieved that his sheep
were safe. Slowly, he changed his mind

about the wolf.

Soon, the shepherd was not concerned
about the wolf at all but felt at ease with

its presence.

The shepherd thought, ‘This wolf behaves
more like a guardian to the sheep and not

like an enemy’.

One day, the shepherd received
news that his friend from a

neighbouring village was unwell.
The shepherd really wanted to
visit his sick friend.

However, his mind wondered as to whom
he should give the responsibility af taking

care of the sheep to. Suddenly, the
shepherd thought...

“I can leave the
sheep with the
friendly wolf until I

return”

Therefore, he left his flock of
sheep under the care of the wolf.

However, when the shepherd
returned, he was shocked to

find that all his sheep had
been eaten by the wolf.

“This is what I get for
trusting the cunning wolf,”
the shepherd cried bitterly.

Moral value :

IT IS NO
USE CRYING
OVER SPILT

MILK.

A very hungry wolf came out of
the forest to hunt prey. He saw a

group of sheep in a livestock
farm. He started to get ideas and

plan something to hunt sheep.
