Since the inception of the ceremony, prior to 2003, the ceremony has remained true to the original design; to recognize excellence in our students. The purpose is to recognize students who excel in Lone Star College–Tomball’s academic disciplines and leadership opportunities in the classroom and through campus involvement. Award criteria is determined by each individual academic discipline or campus department. Each award recipient is selected based on varying qualifications such as passion, determination, grit, leadership, academic performance.
