FRUITS LEFT TO RIPEN ON THE TREE
TO THE STAGE OF MAXIMUM DELICIOUSNESS.
From Small Organic Farms to Your Doorstep
About Us
Azuca is an organic fresh fruit supplier based in Timisoara, Romania. We are
proud to offer organic, ripe, fresh fruits that are both pesticide-free and
chemical-free.
Are you dissatisfied with the quality of the fruits from your local supermarket?
This is because most of those fruits were picked green and unripe, and stored in
dark storage rooms for weeks and sometimes even months. These fruits can never
ripen in the same way as fruits that ripen naturally on trees. Supermarket products,
therefore, often lack sweetness, flavour, colour and even nutrients.
Unlike the productsfrom your local grocery store or convenience stores, the
fruits from Azuca have unparalleled premium quality and taste. When you place an
order on Azuca, the fruits you will receive are still hanging on a tree. These ripening
fruits are picked especially for you, only after you have placed your order. This
allows us not only to deliver you the fruits at a stage of maximum deliciousness and
sweetness but also helps us to cut food waste. Indeed, many fruits from the
classical distribution channel end up in the garbage bin as they get overripe or
damaged during the bulk transport.
This guarantees you the ripest,
sweetest and freshest fruits on the market!

Quality
We carefully select our fruits from small, organic farms that do not use any
chemicals to treat the fruits. We believe that small farmers, who focus on organic
farming, take better care in nurturing and growing theirproducts.
We have a strict quality control process to ensure the fruits we pick are always
organic and natural. Since the products are 100% natural and untreated, they are
not always perfect. Like everything in nature, they may have flaws or be different in
shape, colour and size. While this is beyond our control, we try our best to pick the
best products for you.
However, should you have any issues with your products, please don’t hesitate
to contact us. We’ll be happy to assist you!

Impact
At Azuca, we only work with small, organic farms. By buying directly from these
family farmers, we ensure that the money goes directly to them. We eliminate
middlemen, who usually take large marginsand leave little earnings for the
producers. This not only benefits small farmers with higher earnings but also our
customers through increased price transparency.
We look for organic farms that do not use chemical products that harm the
planet. Most of these farms employ sustainable practices that do not deteriorate
the ecosystem.
Most of our fruits, including avocados, come from the South of Spain. Fruits that
we can’t find in Europe aretransported on passenger planes. By using passenger
planes, we limit our carbon footprint and ecological impact as they would have
flown anyway.
To keep our commitment to environmental sustainability, we deliver our fruits in
natural, eco-friendly burlap bags. The bags are re-used as we recuperate them
during the next order the customer places.

Pricing & Delivery
Pricing is indicative. We try our best to maintain the final price as close as
possible to the indicated price. However, since the weight of a fruit is never a round
number, the final pricing may differ slightly. After you place your order, we receive
the freshly picked fruits, weigh them and then calculate the exact price.
The orders are biweekly and can be placed on www.azuca.ro or by phone.
We currently deliver in Timisoara, Dumbravita, Mosnita Noua, and Ghiroda.
The minimum order amount is 150 Lei.
Please contact us for deliveries in other areas and for any other inquiries.

Manggo
Did you know the skin colour of a Mango doesn’t indicate if it's ripe?
In fact, certain ripe mangoes can stay completely green and still be ripe and
ready to eat. You can check if a mango is ripe by pressing it gently with your finger.
A ripe mango will yield slightly. Ripe mangoes also have a floral smell.
Mangoes ripen in a warm and humid environment. To ripen a mango, store the
fruit at room temperature in a paper bag. Once the fruit is fully ripe, you can keep
it in the fridge to preserve its taste and texture and prevent it from going bad. Ripe
mangoes can last up to a week in the fridge.
How to Eat a Mango: The mango has a long, flat seed in its centre. Slice it on both
sides, less than a centimetre away from the centre. Cut the fruit in a grid-like
pattern, without cutting through the mango skin. Use a large spoon to detach it
from the skin and scoop the cubes out. Eat with a fork.
Tip :
You can also try to eat a piece of the peel, which is edible and full of nutrients.

PAPAYA
Like a mango, a ripe papaya also yields slightly under finger pressure. The
papaya’s skin usually turns from green to yellow or orange when it ripens. Papayas
ripen in warm, humid environments and can be kept at room temperature till they
are ripe. Once fully ripe or cut, papayas must be kept in the fridge.
Store in the lower part of the refrigerator, where it's not so cold, to avoid loss of
flavour.
How to Eat a Papaya: Peel the papaya with a vegetable peeler and discard the
skin. Cut in half lengthwise, remove the seeds, and then cut into cubes or slices.
Tip: Seeds of the papaya are edible. They have a crunchy texture and a slightly
peppery flavour. You can eat them with papaya flesh or store them in the fridge for
later use. You can also use them in a vinaigrette, in a salad dressing or in a
smoothie. This may add a bitter taste, so remember to cut the bitterness with other
ingredients.
