WHAT?

Viva Dança is the first dance convention to come to Portugal. It is designed to showcase the best dancers, teachers,
choreographers, colleges, conservatories and brands from across Europe, through workshops, mainstage
performances, seminars, exhibitor stands and a championship competition.

By bringing them together for one day (9am-6pm), we hope to create an opportunity for Portuguese dancers to
discover their further dance education
opportunities, and likewise for dance colleges to
discover this talent. Throughout the day,
knowledge will be imparted, skills will be
gained, and the love of dance can be shared
amongst like-minded people.

Throughout the day dancers will be able to enjoy
taking various different workshops, shop at the
exhibitor stands, watch dance college
performances, take part in improvisation
competitions, take part in the Championship
Competition and much more...

WHY?

We want dancers of all ages and levels return to their dance studio feeling more motivated and inspired after coming
to our convention! Our convention should also teach valuable lessons and skills to the dancers.
Our main goal is to help Portuguese dancers understand and learn about their options of further training in Portugal
and abroad, be inspired by our guest artists, discover a new brand of dance clothes, as well as allowing colleges and
schools in the UK and Europe to discover the tremendous talent there is in Portugal!

WHERE?

PAVILHÃO- ALTICE FORUM BRAGA

Located in the North of Portugal, and close to the
Spanish border, we feel Braga was the right location
due to the high concentration of dancers in the
Northern region and proximity to the airport

CONVENTION

WORKSHOPS: Workshops with outstanding teachers from all over Europe in 6 multi-purpose studios. Over

30 master classes to choose from in: Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, commercial/Hip-Hop, Ballroom, Musical Theatre
and Fitness Dance

EXHIBITORS: The best products for dance, sport and well-being,

cosmetics, photography and much more......
Areas also devoted to dance schools, colleges, companies
and conservatories.

PERFORMANCES: SHOWCASE PERFORMANCES BY:

DANCE ARTISTS (guest performers) and EXHIBITORS (colleges,
companies etc)

LONDON STUDIO CHAMPIONSHIP: An all styles, group only competition created to push

dancers and choreographies to use creativity and innovation. 30 groups with 12-40 students in each.

IMPROVISATION COMEPTITION: Freestyle competition to any given music.

TEACHER SEMINARS: A program designed to help and sustain the education and further development

of dance teachers.
