Dr. Ann McCall in China: Xavier Earns 2016 Confucius Institute of the Year Award. Xavier University of Louisiana, host of one of the top Chinese language programs in the state of Louisiana, received the prestigious Confucius Institute of the Year Award. Dr. Anne McCall, Xavier’s Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, accepted the honor during the opening ceremony of the 11th Confucius Institute Conference
in Kunming, China, in front of an audience of over 2,000 government of cials and university administrators worldwide.

She was a member of the Xavier University of Louisiana Communications faculty until 2001, but later returned to the university to serve in several non-teaching capacities, including Donor Relations Manager in the Of ce of Institutional Advancement, Fundraising Consultant for the Of ce of Catholic Initiative, and as a writer and researcher for the university’s Of ce of Sponsored Projects.
