First of all, we would like to thank God as we were able to finish this assignment that had been given to us by our English lecturer, Madam Khadijah Bt. Md Pata. This task has been done with all affordance by group members, even though a few minor problems have happened among us while doing this assignment. Luckily, all of the issues can be settled down and we were able to adapt properly and wisely. Beside that, a big thanks to our English lecturer, Madam Khadijah Binti Mohammad Pata because without her guidance, our project could not be done properly like this. She always gives us support and guides us on how to do our assignments in order to produce a good outcome from the topic given. A topic that has been chosen by our group is about ways to save our environment. Bullying is an ongoing and deliberate misuse of power in relationships through repeated verbal, physical or social behaviour that intends to cause physical, social or psychological harm. It can involve an individual or a group misusing their power, or perceived power, over one or more persons who feel unable to stop it from happening. PART1: BACKGROUND INFORMATION Oftheissue Bullying remains a persistentproblem in Malaysian’sschools What is Bullying? 2022 39.4% 2021 35.5% 2020 25.1% Figure 1 shows that the percentage of bully cases in school increasing throughout the year from 2020 to 2022. The total cases of bully in year 2022 shows the highest percentage which means that students in Malaysian school are not taught with good values from a young age at home. 2 PHYSICAL Physical bullying can causes harm to a child’s body or property. Apart from that, bullying can cause psychological harm that can lead students in Malaysia faces with mental health. TYPES OF BULLYING IN MALAYSIAN’S SCHOOL The examples of verbal bullying are including namecalling, mocking, hurtful teasing, insults, slurs, humiliating or threatening someone, racist comments, or sexual harassment. VERBAL Social bullying includes rolling your eyes or turning away from someone, excluding others from the group, gossiping or spreading rumours, setting others up to look foolish, damaging reputations and friendships. SOCIAL CYBER Examples of cyberbullying include posting hurtful images, making online threats, and sending hurtful emails or texts.
PART2(A) :PERSONAL RESPONSESON THEISSUE (OPINIONS/REACTIONS/COMMENTARY/CAUSES AND EFFECTS) From my point of view, I think that bullying is something that is pointless. There is not a point in putting someone else down because it makes someone else feel better about themselves. From my perspective, I think that if everyone keeps there comments to themselves, everything would be better and no ones feelings would be hurt. If anyone is getting bullied my advice is to talk to someone about it and get help and try to stop it if you know someone getting bullied. It does not only affects the well-being of students but also hinders their ability to learn and grow in a safe environment. REACTIONS Our reactions on this issue are we are responsible to spread awareness about bullying among the students in Malaysia. In additon, we must help those who are struggling with bullies. As students ourself, we admit that bullying is an immoral action to be done especially among the school students. In addition, bullying is a serious disciplinary offense and the bully can be punished in order to raise awareness from school. We have seen that school students who have experienced cases of bullying faces with a very deep impact to themselves which can harm a person oneself. Apart from that, we think that the case of bullying needs to be emphasized in order to create a prosperous school environment Therefore, all parties need to be concerned about bullying cases and this matter should be curbed because a person's mental and physical health is very important to strengthen the quality of life. 4
COMMENTARY Despite ongoing efforts to address it, bullying remains a problem, especially in boarding schools. Regrettably, many victims choose to endure it silently. 5 Bullying is a widespread issue in Malaysia that impacts not only students but also teachers, parents, and guardians. Bullying comes in various forms, such as physical, verbal, and cyberbullying, each with its own serious consequences. Victims often experience anxiety, depression, and a decline in their academic performance as a result.

This can causes feelings of dissatisfaction, competition or a perceived threat to an individual’s social status. Bullies can contribute to aggressive behaviour or actions that are harmful to others. Individuals with this personality trait are more likely to have a strong desire to dominate and control others in that place. When they see weak students and make bullies will make them feel more powerful. Individuals who have been bullied will feel alone and they tend to isolate themselves because they lack self-confidence and unable to speak up. 6 KEY CHARACTERISTICS OF BULLIES
VICTIM ACADEMIC PROBLEMS DEPRESSION ANXIETY LONELINESS PHYSICAL HEALTH ISSUES Victims are more likely to experienced anxiety because they probably having trauma from what they have faced. Individuals who have been bullied will feel alone and they tend to isolate themselves because they lack self-confidence and unable to speak up. A person's academic performance will also decrease in relation to bullying cases, this is because they will feel no enthusiasm to study and do revision instead they might just wasting their time by treating feelings alone. A person will experience physical health problems following to an unhealthy lifestyle because bullied individuals have a reduced appetite and their BMI will be abnormal. LOW SELF-ESTEEM ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS Some individuals in high school seek attention and yearn to be seen as brave and confident, driving them to engage in bullying behavior to garner more attention. While there are numerous ways to gain recognition and stand out, some mistakenly view bullying as the easiest and coolest way to achieve this without realizing the harm it inflicts on others. CRAVING FOR ATTENTION CAUSES & EFFECTS Some bullies in Malaysia’s High School may have low self-esteem and likely to mask their insecurities. They target others for mistreatment, deriving a fleeting sense of power and accomplishment. Unfortunately, this temporary ‘high’ can lead to repeated bullying without realizing the profound negative impact on their victims Bullies are usually exposed to violence in media which can affect how teenagers perceive and react to real-life situations, potentially influencing their behaviour and attitudes including their interactions with peers 8 CAUSES OF BULLY CASES

If you do find yourself feeling stressed or anxious, please don‘t keep it to yourself. Talk to someone, whether it’s a friend, family member or your course tutor. We hope that the level of bully cases in Malaysia’s High School percentage will decrease in the future. Additionally, everyone should be aware of how detrimental bullying can be among the students and teenagers in Malaysia. Moreover, the government should conduct campaigns related to bully so that the community can address this issue especially among school students who are in the process of learning and growing. Finally, we hope that the community can establish an organization for bully victims to express their feelings and simultaneously restore their mental health. PREDICTION 17
In conclusion, stress is a complex phenomenon with both physiological and psychological components. While it can serve a useful purpose in some situations, chronic stress can have serious negative effects on health and well-being. Therefore, learning to manage stress effectively is an essential life skill, particularly for the adults who are navigating a critical and potentially stressful period in their lives. Hence, by recognizing the signs of stress and implementing effective coping strategies, we can mitigate its negative impacts and enhance our overall well-being. CONCLUSION 18
