REGIONAL SECURITY BRIEFING
ON 2021 RCSP TARGETS

Critical to the implementation of RCSP activities especially in the immersion
phase is the security assessment of the identified priority areas. Taking into
consideration the actual experience of the Baranggayan implementers
particularly in the immersion proper, the Regional Management deemed the
conduct of a security briefing as indispensable.

The regional security briefing was held 20 February 2021, at the Villa Isabel Hotel,
Sorsogon City. Holding the briefing at a venue in Sorsogon was purposely made
considering that the Province of Sorsogon has the highest number of target
barangays in the 2021 RCSP.

The participants included the DILG Regional Management, the DILG Provincial
Teams of Albay, Camarines Sur and Sorsogon, and the security sector represented
by the Philippine Army, the PNP and the NICA.

The DILG Central Office was represented by Asec. Manuel B. Felix, Usec. Marlo L.
Iringan, Col. Ryan Severo, Dir. Rene Valera, and Mr. Richard Villacorte.
