The global engagement expanded with the Cross-Cultural Nuances Conference (2014) and Youth Concerns & Challenges (2016), bringing scholars from Hungary, the USA, Japan, Singapore and New Zealand. In 2017, the International Conference on Skill Development in Education (ICSD) continued this tradition with speakers from Australia, Finland and the USA. The English Studies Across and Beyond Borders Conference (2019) and an international workshop by experts from Eotvos Lorand University further strengthened international collaboration. During the pandemic, KMV successfully organised the 7-Day International Conclave on Global Perspectives on Education in COVID-19 Times (2020), followed by multiple international webinars and workshops (2020-2023) featuring experts from the UK, UAE, Oman, South Africa, Cyprus and Hungary.
Recent years have seen continued momentum through international workshops, webinars and lecture series, including Research Rendezvous (2025) with experts from Washington State University and Rutgers University, lectures by global scientists and academicians from Poland, the USA, Ireland and the UK, and specialised sessions in psychology, physics, chemistry and interdisciplinary research during 2024-25. Through these sustained initiatives from 2009 to 2025, KMV has emerged as a vibrant hub for international academic dialogue, knowledge exchange, and global collaboration.Global Footprints of KMV Faculty in Higher Education Kanya Mahavidyalaya (KMV), Jalandhar faculty have consistently contributed to global academia through invited talks, research collaborations, and conference presentations across leading international institutions and forums. Faculty members presented research at prestigious venues such as the European Social Science History Conference in Amsterdam, the International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology in Houston, and semiconductor and materials science conferences in France and the USA. KMV scholars have also engaged in research and visiting fellowships with ENEA and academic collaborations with Coe College, US. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi delivered invited talks and chaired sessions at Chatham University, Boston University, and Harvard University, and later participated in leadership programmes at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Faculty contributions further include keynote lectures at the International Congress on Glass in Prague, presentations at EPFL, the IIER International Conference in Oxford, and international conferences in the UK and Switzerland. Continuing this global engagement, KMV faculty delivered invited talks at Leeds University, Rutgers University, Westford University College, International Institute for Technology Education and Research, and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. These achievements highlight KMV’s sustained international academic presence, interdisciplinary research collaborations, and commitment to global knowledge exchange.
Students’ Achievements at International LevelKanya Mahavidyalaya (KMV), Jalandhar has a long record of international student achievements and global academic exposure. In 2011–12, Project Fellow Ms. Ruchika visited ENEA, Italy for research. The institution strengthened global exchange through collaborations with Chatham University and Boston University, with multiple student and faculty visits between 2014–2017 involving interdisciplinary learners from biotechnology, commerce, psychology, English and computer applications. In 2018–19, Neha Verma presented research at the Nano World Conference in California, USA. In 2021–22, Ms. Sandeep Kaur was selected for a six-month research training programme at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics in collaboration with ENEA, Italy. The same year, students and a faculty member received Hungarian Government scholarships through Tempus Public Foundation to attend summer courses at University of Szeged and Eotvos Lorand University. Continuing this global momentum, in 2024–25 Ms. Lavleen Saini secured a Graduate Assistant position at Rutgers University, USA, while Haramanpreet Kaur received a $2,500 travel grant to present her research at the ACerS Glass and Optical Materials Division Meeting in Vancouver, Canada. These achievements reflect KMV’s sustained commitment to international collaboration, research excellence, and global academic exposure for its students. KMV's strategic international collaborations, international exposure, partnerships with leading US, Canadian and European universities, showcase how partnerships with global educational institutions have enriched the academic environment. Hospitality and Tourism programme. Students secured prestigious internships in renowned international hospitality organisations in the USA such as Live! by Loews - Arlington, La Villa Augusta, The Westin Indianapolis, Hyatt Regency Boston, Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, and Grand Sierra Resort & Casino. These placements offered roles in culinary rotation and front office operations with competitive international stipends ranging from €10,332 annually to $16–$20 per hour, reflecting the high employability and global readiness of KMV students. Such achievements highlight the institution’s strong industry linkages, skill-oriented training, and commitment to preparing students for successful global careers in hospitality and tourism.Sustainability and Social ResponsibilityIn the context of the 21st century, KMV is committed to sustainability and social responsibility. This includes an analysis of environmental initiatives, community outreach programs, and efforts to instil a sense of social responsibility among students, aligning education with broader societal goals. Faculty and students work in collaboration with municipal corporation Jalandhar to keep the surrounding neighbourhood clean, picking up litter and putting them in trash can. They are also sensitised to keep a check on reducing energy and water consumption. KMV lays thrust on active participation of students in such activities so that they contribute significantly in caring the planet and building a more equitable and environmentally friendly society. KMV has adopted many schools whose students are beneficiaries of our humanitarian endeavours.
