Adult Sports Programs
Why Play?
Regular physical acvity benefits health in many ways, including helping build and
maintain healthy bones, muscles, and joints; helping control weight and reduce fat;
and prevenng or delaying the development of high blood pressure. Exercise is one
of the least expensive ways to stay healthy, with one study finding that exercise can
prevent chronic diseases as effecvely as medicaon.
Adult Softball, Flag Football,
Kickball, Ultimate Frisbee
Winter Springs Parks and Recreation is committed to offering a variety
of adult sports programs in addition to our youth athletics programs. We
offer Adult leagues for: Flag Football (Tuesdays), Softball, Ultimate
Frisbee, (Wednesdays), and Kickball (Thursdays) in the Spring
(February-May) and Fall (August-November) at Central Winds Park.

Help Your Child Become a Beer Student with Winter Springs Pop Warner
In both Football and Cheerleading the small margin for error requires keen aention to
detail from everyone on the team. This same aention to detail must be applied by
players at school in order to participate. Pop Warner is the only youth sports program in
the country that requires participants to perform adequately in the classroom before
perming them to play. For more information visit www.winterspringspopwarner.org
Improve Your Child’s Fitness Level with FKK Soccer
Soccer players become fit and create positive fitness habits that can last a lifetime. They
learn what it takes to be in shape and work hard to improve their fitness. Soccer players
tend to become lean and have a good combination of muscular strength & endurance.

Develop Agility with the Winter Springs Basketball League
Basketball players have to think fast on their feet and respond quickly to plays that could
change momentum and direction within a few seconds. Developing the ability to quickly

Community Spotlight
Commissioner Pam Carroll served our community since moving to Winter Springs in
1992. Pam’s dedication to our city can be seen through her efforts with the City’s
Senior Center, the Winter Springs Festival of Arts, Take Stock in Children, the Parks
and Recreation Advisory Committee, the GROWS Literacy Council, and Tuscawilla’s
HOA, just to name a few. Her dedication went beyond her duties of any board or
committee. Pam cared deeply and paid close attention to anyone who brought a
concern her way. Pam’s legacy will live on through her two children, young adults
whom she mentored, Winter Springs Festival of Arts, the publication Tuscawilla
Today, and the residents of Winter Springs. The City will forever be thankful for all of
her contributions. Below is a quote which Pam most certainly lived by.
“I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or
any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer
or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” ~ William Penn
Thank you, Pam - for your dedication to our community!
