One Hundred Word Story

The Win
It was the bottom of the sixth inning and we were up by one against the
first ranked team. Two outs, two outs he pitched it. They hit it, our infield
scrambled while I covered first base, Max got the ball close to first base and
dropped the ball in my glove. We had won. The whole team jumped and sprinted
into the dugout and went crazy because it was the championship. We then went
to third base to say good game. We were all awarded our trophies and almost
hurt ourselves celebrating. The whole team went to Freddy's in honor of winning.

One Hundred Word Story

The Hit
There I was on a Sunday night getting ready to play the T-Birds, who I play
for now. I was currently on the Mustangs. It was a great day to play baseball. I
was up to bat, there was the pitch,the one I never give up, high and down the
middle. I swung, it was a long fly ball deep into center field. I watched it the whole
way because I thought it was going to be a home run. Sadly it hit the top of the
fence, and since I watched it I only got a single instead of a triple.

Medical Research
Tommy John Surgery

Kids and adults may need Tommy John surgery in their life if they play an elbow
stressing sport like football or baseball to name a few. Tommy John surgery is needed
when players have extreme pain in the elbow, this is caused by an overused t and torn
tendon. The pain can be so extreme that it affects gameplay. Many pitchers that get to
the major leagues will eventually get tommy john surgery because of either pitching with
to muscle speed too often or having bad technique while pitching. Many pitchers say
they will pitch as many as they can as hard as they can until surgery is the only option.
Players that need the surgery but do not take care of it will lose speed and control on
their throws.

With the surgery it will get rid of the pain and some said it improved their speed
after the surgery though not often. Many little league pitchers can be great pitchers and
make it to the majors if they control their speed at a young age, kids will get tommy
John surgery and not make it to the majors because of this happening. Some players at
any age will sometimes get it before they need it to “prevent” because they don’t think
they can control their speed as a pitcher. (thealantic.com).

Players can avoid having to get Tommy John surgery by controlling their speed
and using the right mechanics, at a speed young age players should not flick their wrists
because this can cause more stress than the body can handle while growing. Pitchers
that pitch more than eighty five pitches per games re three point five times more likely to
need Tommy John surgery than one pitching a normal and healthy amount.

Tommy John surgery also known as UCL is the replacement of a tendon from the
forearm, hamstring, or foot that is put into the elbow to get rid of the old one. Players
that needed the surgery are going to be out for a very long time, about a six months for
a position player and one year or more for a pitcher. In conclusion the Tommy John
surgery is a overuse of a tendon in the elbow causing extreme pain and can ruin

Movie Review

Rouge One review

For the review of rogue one I would give it three out of five stars because, I
thought that the use of weapons and other items were not invented in the movies before
this one, where this movie was in the middle of all the stories. The ending could have
been better instead of having so much loss even though it did make you think about
what you would do in that situation. The characters were a good match and a few were
kind of funny (the robot). The movie has a good meaning and telling you sacrifice can
be for the greater good even if it’s not for you. This movie automatically goes down quite
a bit because they did not include George Lucas or John Williams in the movie. The
music was not as good and they could have had much better lines. Some good things
about the movie are that there were explosions and many other thing that if Disney
didn’t put them in no one would call it star wars, even though it was already a runoff, this
would be a runoff of a runoff. In conclusion this movie was okay but it did manage to
keep most star wars qualities.

Recipe

How to make Key Lime Cheesecake

Before you start preparing set out creamcheese, wash you hands, and set oven for 375
degrees

Ingredients

For the crust
2 Cups of graham cracker crumbs, crushed
(abu two sleeves)
½ Cup butter, melted
¼ Cup granulated sugar

Making the crust

In a 9 to 10 inch springform pan, combine crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar,
spread and press evenly over the bottom and halfway up onto the sides. Bake for 7 to 8 minutes
no more or else the crust might crumble.

Ingredients

For Filling
3 (8 oz.) packs of cream cheese, at room temperature
1 Cup sugar
1 Cup sour cream
¼ Cup flour
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 eggs
¾ cup key lime juice

Making the filling

Cream the Cream cheese and add sugar until smooth, clear sides and bottom with
rubber spatula regularly to get rid of lumps. Cream in sour cream, eggs, flour, and vanilla until
smooth, stir in lime juice(¾ cup makes a very tart cheese cake if you prefer less tartness use ⅓
Cup to start)

Baking the cake

Pour filling over the baked crust, then put the cheesecake into the oven
for another 15 min, after the 15 min. Set oven to 250 degrees and bake
for 50 min. For a 10 inch pan and 55 min, for a 9 inch.( May want to put
a bowl of water on the rack below the cheesecake while in the oven to
prevent cracking). After finished, cool on a wire rack until cooled. after
cooled take a sharp knife and loosen the cheesecake by driving the
knife around the edge of the cheesecake. After loosened DO NOT
REMOVE FROM THE PAN. Refrigerate at least 6 hours before serving,
Can be served with sweetened whipped cream, lime zest, or both. (Note
if you are in a time crunch and can not refrigerate the cheesecake do
NOT put whipped cream on top because it will melt, believe me I have

tried it.)

Explanation

The reason I chose this recipe is because I have made this for many

birthday parties and family events. I enjoy this recipe because it’s fun to make, easy to make
and a nice tasty treat that fills you up fast. Sometimes I have used this recipe for housewarming,
holidays, family nights, family meets, birthdays, and many other things. This recipe is one that I
make more often because it is not that unhealthy, I can pass it by as my fruit, it tastes good and
since you don’t eat much because it’s filling. This is a good baking recipe to start on because it
is very easy to make, but don't get me wrong all baking is also very easy to mess up. In
conclusion this bake is a yummy easy and enjoyable recipe to make and it can last you a long
time, with this recipe the key lime sky is the limit!

Technology

Artificial Gills

Artificial gills are trying to be made so people can go underwater
without using all the skill and gear it takes to scuba dive. This wan also help
get rid of people drowning because if they were caught in the undertow or
other strong water situations they could just put this on and swim to safety
without panicking. This would help the military and scientists use less
money, less gear, and to be faster quieter and to act more like the
creatures in the environment so the researchers don’t scare all the animals.
Many people would buy this because it would be an easy way to have fun
and explore the water without having to spend a ton of money.

There are artificial gill trying to be made and practically being used right
now but because they haven't been completely perfect, they cost seven
hundred thousand dollars and can last for forty five minutes at a maximum
of fifteen feet deep. Scientists say that's it not impossible but will be very
hard to create a fully functional one. They also say that there are three
major problems. The three problems are, that the device will have to get
enough oxygen from the water to give a person a normal breath, it would
need to be able to store the air in a container, and it would still have to be
breathable. In conclusion the artificial gills would help people, military, and
scientists by making it fast, easy, and efficient to swim underwater quietly.

The reason I chose this photo is because I found this particular part of my 
drive to Washington D.C. to be the coolest. This picture reminds me of a 
scene after a war or a bad event. The sun which is blocked out by the clouds 
makes everything so dark, and really makes it look like  all life was either 
gone or damaged. The reason I think this picture is so cool is because it looks 
like it was straight out of a movie o video game, everything is a little pixelated 
and blurry with smoke and clouds all around me. The trees so bare, the leafs 
so gray, and the sun white. In conclusion I think this photo is very cool 
because it gives me a memory of my tip and reminds m of many events.

What I’ll do over Summer 

Summer plans 

Over the Summer I will play a lot of sports with friends to try and get
better so that I can reach my goal of making it to the major leagues. Also I
will try to get better at rocket league so that I can try to get to a competition
to win first prize of few hundred thousand dollars. One of my favorite things
to do over the summer is to go on a trip because it gets you outdoors. The
best holiday of the year come over the summer, the Fourth of July, this is
when the whole family gets together and has fun while blowing fireworks up
and fishing at the lake. I will go over to my cousin’s house quite a bit to
swim in his pool and play pinball at his house, we will play soccer and
many other sports together with many of my cousins. Many times I will
have friends over or I will go to their house.

Sports are a big part of my summer, it’s almost all I do because I
have a dream and I will make it come true, and the only way to make it
come true is to practice and practice until night falls then right when
daylight comes back up. You're back out there for the day. Finally I go to
Boy Scouts summer camp over the summer and spend a week there trying
to rank up at scouts and to get closer to my eagle, In conclusion I have
many things to do this summer and most of them should be fun.
