To the readers, The story is about a young pig who is not accepted by the other pigs because of his black color. Biboy finds a way on how he can be accepted by Pepay's group, but unfortunately he failed. But because of an incident, Biboy now enjoys the company of his newly - gained friends. Learning Competency: Identify the basic sequence of events and make relevant prediction about stories - EN2RC-IIId-e-2.4 Lesson of the story: First, let's not judge others according to their physical appearance and treat them with respect. Second, accept whatever your appearance is for it is given to us by God.
Biboy is a kind and helpful pig. He always helps his mother in doing household chores. He shows kindness by doing good deeds to other animals in town. But other animals don't like Biboy. He is always alone. He feels sad since no one wants to play with him because of his color. Si Biboy ay isang mabait at matulunging baboy. Lagi niyang tinutulungan ang kanyang ina sa mga gawaing bahay. Pinakikita niya ang kanyang kabutihan sa paggawa nang maganda sa ibang hayop. Ngunit hindi katulad ng ibang baboy si Biboy sa kanilang lugar. Nakadarama siya ng lungkot dahil walang nais makipaglaro sa kanya dahil sa kanyang kulay itim na balat. 2

One day, he sees Pepay and his other playmates. “Pepay, can I join you?” asks Biboy. “No, you’re not like us! You are black! said Pepay. “She’s right! You don’t look like us! Popoy added. Biboy walks away and sadly watches the pigs as they play. Isang araw, nakita niya si Pepay kasama ang ibang biik. "Pepay, pwede bang sumali sa inyo? tanong ni Biboy" Hindi pwede! maitim ka!, hindi ka katulad namin" wika ni Pepay. "Tama! hindi ka katulad namin." dagdag ni Popoy. Naglakad si Biboy palayo at malungkot na pinanood ang mga biik habang sila'y naglalaro. 4

"Hmmm? What shall I do?... what shall I do?" He keeps on thinking inside their house, moving back and forth from left to right at a walking pace. After a while, an idea suddenly comes into his mind. " I hope this works". Biboy said to himself. He immediately runs to their kitchen and took a sack of flour. "Hmmm? Ano ang gagawin ko?.. Ano ang gagawin ko? Patuloy siyang nag-isip sa loob ng kanilang bahay. Paroo't parito, kaliwa't kanan, pabalik - balik siyang naglakad. Pagkalipas ng ilang saglit, isang ideya ang biglang pumasok sa kanyang isipan. " Sana gumana ito." wika ni Biboy sa kanyang sarili. Nagmamadali siyang nagtungo sa kanilang kusina at kumuha ng isang sako ng harina. 6

Biboy pours the sack of flour on the floor and rolls his body onto it over and over. He looked at the mirror and see himself. "Alright! perhaps they will now accept me." He smiles with satisfaction after seeing that he is not black anymore. Ibinuhos ni Biboy ang sako ng harina sa sahig at nagpagulong - gulong siya nang paulit - ulit sa ibabaw nito. Tumingin siya sa salamin at nakita ang sarili. " Ayos! Siguro naman matatanggap na nila ako." Siya ay ngumiti nang may kasiyahan pagkatapos niyang makita ang sarili na hindi na siya maiitim. 8

Biboy excitedly goes back where the pigs are playing. “Pepay! Pepay! Can I join you now? I am Biboy. I’m not black anymore!” Biboy said boastfully. “How come you're not black anymore?” Pipoy asked with curiosity. "Don't mind it anymore. What's important, is that I'm not black anymore. I just want to be your friend. Can I play with you now?" asked Biboy. " Ahmm.. okay. Now, let's race to the bridge and whoever comes first wins." Pepay explained. When the signal was given, everybody ran quickly towards the bridge. Luckily, Biboy had reached the bridge first and won the race. All of a sudden, dark clouds appear and heavy rain starts to pour down. Sabik na bumalik si Biboy sa mga naglalarong biik. "Pepay! Pepay! Maaari na ba akong sumali sa inyo? hindi na ako maitim!" Ang mayabang na wika ni Biboy. "Paanong hindi ka na kulay itim?" Pagtatakang tanong ni Pipoy. " Huwag mo nang intindihin pa iyon. Ang mahalaga ay hindi na ako kulay itim. Gusto ko lang na maging kaibigan ninyo ako. Maaari na ba akong makipaglaro sa inyo?" tanong ni Biboy. "Ahmm...Okay. Ngayon, magkarera tayo papunta sa tulay at kung sino ang mauuna ang siyang panalo." paliwang ni Pepay. Pagkabigay ng hudyat, lahat ay nagmamadaling tumakbo patungo sa tulay. Swerte naman na si Biboy ang naunang nakarating sa tulay at nanalo sa karera. Kalaunan, biglang dumilim ang kalangitan at bumuhos ang malakas na ulan. 10

As the rain pours down, Biboy did not notice the flour on his body has washed away. His black skin was revealed. Everybody was shocked with what they saw. "You liar! You said you're not black anymore." Popoy said angrily. "Just as I thought, You won't do anything nice. It reflects the color that you have." Pepay added. "I just want to have friends, I didn't mean to deceive you." Biboy explained. In spite of what Biboy said, Pepay and the other pigs furiously forbid Biboy to play with them. Habang umuulan, hindi napansin ni Biboy na naalis ang harina sa katawan niya. Lumitaw ang kanyang itim na balat. Ang lahat ay nagulat sa kanilang nakita. " Sinungaling ka! Ang sabi mo ay hindi ka na maitim." Galit na wika ni Popoy. " Tama ang hinala ko, hindi ka gagawa ng mabuti. Ipinapakita lamang nito kung anong kulay mayroon ka." dagdag ni Pepay. " Gusto ko lang na magkaroon ng kaibigan. Hindi ko naman sadyang linlangin kayo." paliwanag ni Biboy. 12

Biboy cried and ran toward their house. “Mother, why am I black?” he asked. “Having black skin is not that bad as long as you don’t hurt somebody’s feeling,” mother said. “Always remember that God loves everyone no matter what the color of their skin is. Accept and love the color God has given you. It is not the outer color that is important but the goodness in you.” Then, Biboy realized everything with what his mother told him. Umiiyak na umuwi si Biboy sa kanila. "Inay, bakit po ako maitim?" tanong niya sa kanyang ina. " Biboy, hindi masama kung maitim ka, ang mahalaga ay hindi ka nakakasakit ng iyong kapwa" sabi ng kanyang ina. Lagi mong tatandaan na mahal ng Diyos ang lahat, anuman ang maging kulay ng kanilang balat. HIndi ang panlabas na kulay ang mahalaga kundi ang kulay ng kabutihan sa iyo" paliwanang ng kanyang ina. Lubos na naunawaan ni Biboy ang lahat ng winika ng kanyang ina sa kanya. 14

Biboy went back to the bridge where he left Pepay and the others. He heard someone crying for help.It was Pepay who was stuck in a muddy swamp. "Help! Help!" Bumalik si Biboy sa tulay kung saan niya iniwanan sina Pepay at iba pang baboy. Nakarinig siya ng sigaw na humihingi ng saklolo. Ito ay si Pepay. Hindi ito makaalis sa putikan. " Saklolo! Saklolo!" sigaw nito. 16

"Biboy! BIboy! Please help Pepay. She fell in the mud. We're afraid to go near her because we might fall too." Popoy exclaimed with fear. Biboy immediately look around and saw a long piece of bamboo stick. He took it and returned to where Pepay is. "Pepay, hold on to this. I'll get you out from the mud." Biboy courageously said. Pepay followed what Biboy asked her to do. With full strength, Biboy pulled the bamboo stick where Pepay hangs on. Inch by inch, Pepay was pulled out from the mud. "Biboy! Biboy! Pakitulungan si Pepay. Nahulog siya sa putikan. Natatakot kaming lapitan siya dahil baka mahulog din kami." May takot na paliwanag ni Popoy. Mabilis na tumingin si Biboy sa paligid at nakakita siya ng isang mahabang kawayan. Kinuha niya ito at bumalik sa lugar kung nasaan si Pepay. " Pepay, humawak ka diyan nang mabuti. Iaalis kita diyan sa putikan." Matapang na wika ni Biboy. Sinunod ni Pepay ang iniutos ni Biboy na gawin niya. 18

“Thank you Biboy for saving my life!” Pepay said. “You don’t need to thank me. That’s what a friend should do. I will be here to help you” said Biboy. “I’m sorry Biboy for what we’ve said to you I shouldn’t have looked at the color of your skin but the real color of your heart, ” Pepay added. "Salamat Biboy sa pagligtas mo sa akin" wika ni Pepay. "Wala iyon, nandito ako para tumulong, iyon ay gawain ng isang kaibigan. " Sagot ni Biboy. " Patawarin mo kami sa mga sinabi namin, hindi dapat ako tumingin sa kulay ng iyong balat, kundi sa tunay na kulay ng iyong puso" dagdag ni Pepay. 20

From then on, Biboy had friends. He is not alone anymore. He is now confident of his color. It doesn't matter if he is black. What's important is that he was able to accept the true color of his skin and showed the real color of his heart... a heart full of kindness and love for others. Mula noon, nagkaroon ng maraming kaibigan si Biboy. Hindi na muli siyang nag-iisa. Siya ay mayroon nang tiwala sa kanyang kulay. Hindi mahalaga kung maitim siya. Ang mahalaga ay nagawa niyang tanggapin ang tunay na kulay niya at naipakita ang tunay na kulay ng kanyang puso... Isang pusong puno ng kabutihan at pagmamahal sa kapwa. 22
