interpret a statement or concept that an artist observed,
experienced or expectation on certain situations,
reactions or ideas. Prominent artists like Frida Kahlo,

Man Ray, Cindy Sherman, Vivian Maier and much more

that they wanted to reveal their process of self-expression
and existence.

and treated like a ritual for social habits and misinterpret
the idea of the self-portrait as such it degrades the
implication of a deeper concept. I will ask you this, do you
think self-expression is like somebody doing duck face or

Body Distorted/Gerard Santiago
Body Distorted The human body is fascinating and unpredictable,
fragile yet durable. It may be contradicting but the
creation brings us wonders that God made us, indeed,
His masterpiece.
This group of fine art self-portraits is an exploration
of an elegant abstraction of the human body, and
also blending into mundane environments with other
objects which we associate that they are part of them.
The images entangled our reality and perception of
looking at human bodies that bring our senses into a
different dimension interpreting hands, and limbs into
another form of art, like a sculpture.

the images are with the intricacy and grandeur of human body.
