ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I would like to say a thousand thanks to Madam Nor
Hida binti Ibrahim, as a lecturer who has put her full
trust in me to complete the assigned task. Not
forgetting my parents who have given solid support
as a strength of spirit for me to complete the tasks
given. In addition, I am also grateful to my friends
who never tire of helping me complete this
assignment.

INTRODUCTION

Two year ago, I was a student also effected by Covid-19
pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic began to spread troughout
the world and it also caused an increase in cases caused by this
virus. According to Akmal and Juliana (2020), to curb this
contagion, the Malaysian Prime Minister, YAB Tan Sri
Muhyiddin Yassin has announced a movement control order
(MCO) and this has also caused schools to be temporarily
closed. Therefore, I as a student have faced some difficulties
studying from home. Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused
by newly discovered corona virus. The first reported case was
in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. Covid-19 attacks humans
in different ways.

MY SCHOOL LIFE DURING PANDEMIC

During this pandemic, students also need to
present themselves to class virtually through
any application such as WhatsApp, Telegram or
through Google Classroom. But this virtual
learning has caused some students to face
difficulties. According to Mohan (2020) there are
also students who are poor and cannot afford
electronic devices and this constraint prevents
the delivery of the learning process during the
pandemic. It is the same with me, I am a student
who comes from a poor family and cannot
afford to buy a smartphone that allows me to
attend online learning. This causes me to fall
behind in learning.

After that, the lack of online learning is that I
am not able to focus on the learning that is being
carried out. This is because my every actions and
conversations are hidden behind the screen display
which is always in silent mode and the camera is
closed. This makes me feel comfortable with my
action because teacher who was teaching could not
find out. I only focused on the lesson for the first 15
minutes. But after that, I did other things such as
sleep, play social media, play video games and so
on until the end of the learning session. This causes
me to fall behind in learning which will degrade my
performance. And then, I got the last place after the
exam. Learning during this pandemic has caused
me to become increasingly lazy and performance
deteriorates.

In this pandemic, I don’t think I can
understand all the topics that the teacher
wants to convey. This is because during the
covid-19 pandemic I was unable to go to school
to learn face to face with the teacher. This has
caused all the questions to be asked to the
teacher to be delayed first. After the question
was postponed I forgot to ask the teacher. So
many things have been left behind and it
caused me to lack a lot of knowledge that I
should know.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, learning during this pandemic has
caused many difficulties for me. Despite this, I
should take lessons from what happened
throughout this pandemic and try to ensure that
their emotions, thoughts, actions and way of life
are in good condition so that they remain strong
and are not easily affected by any situation or
disaster that occurs.
