SCREENPLAY SYNOPSIS – VOYAGE OF THE TOMB

A TYPICAL FANTASTICAL JOURNEY TO FIND TREASURE IN THE ANCIENT SORCERER’S
TOMB REVEALS A STRANGE NEW SECRET ABOUT THE WORLD.

ACT 1

Eilana, a 23 year old elf living in the homely village of Varanar, goes through her usual daily
routine, showing that she’s poor and desperate for work. After this, she meets with her
friend Faelyn as she asks him for advice on what to do about her money problems. Faelyn is
unable to help before the two are interrupted by an old orc.

The orc informs the two of a treasure deep within an ancient buried tomb to the north of
the village. Eilana has doubts due to the danger. However, Faelyn abandons Eilana, leaving
her in the dust as he rushes off to take the treasure for himself. Eilana is shocked, and
betrayed, feleing more hopeless than ever. The orc offers to help Eilana through the
journey, seeing that she’s desperate for aid. The two then set off to beat Faelyn.

ACT 2

The pair hurriedly travel north, with the orc briefly explaining the history of the tomb as it
contains the remains of an ancient sorcerer. The two eventually reach a mushroom forest,
where they encounter a group of bandits mugging a lone goblin, who seems to be
desperately trying to get them to leave.

Eilana and Azuk (the orc) work together to stop the bandits, using a show of magic to
intimidate them. The goblin thanks them constantly, stating he had nothing to spare. The
two offer to allow the goblin to come with them so they may share the treasure, to which
the goblin agrees as the now trio continue the race against Faelyn, continuing up north.
They eventually, with the goblin’s aid, are able to discover a short-cut that will give them
some ground on Faelyn. They take the shortcut, running directly into Faelyn as he attempts
to cross a river. A small fight begins between Eilana and Faelyn, as Faelyn demonstrates
superior skill against her. As Faelyn wins, Eilana desperately asks why Faelyn would be so
greedy as to not even try to share. Faelyn just shrugs, stating he wants more money. He
then rushes off, as the goblin and orc help Eilana up. They all look distraught for a moment,
before Eilana urges them to hurry after Faelyn.

The trio, getting closer to the tomb, find themselves blocked by what appears to be a magic
barrier surrounded by burnt corpses which tells them the effects of the barrier. The orc uses
magic to temporarily disrupt the barrier as the goblin and Eilana pass through it. Just as the
orc begins to make it through, however, his spell fails as he is burnt to a crisp. The group is
left despaired, before they hear distant laughing from Faelyn. They feel hopeless to stop
Faelyn without the orc, but the goblin urges Eilana to try a different approach.

ACT 3

The two catch up to Faelyn at the tomb, seeing him attempting to enter it. The goblin
distracts Faelyn by taunting him about his lack of wealth, which annoys both Faelyn and
Eilana. Eilana, however, does the better thing and ignores the taunts as she uses the orc’s
staff (recovered from the remains of his body at the barrier) to open the tomb. Faelyn is
shocked as Eilana enters, but before him or the goblin can intervene, the door shuts, leaving
Eilana alone in the tomb.

She explores around for a bit clutching the staff tightly with fear, before she spots what
appears to be a treasure chest in the darkness. Tapping it with the staff, it glows and is
revealed to be some kind of console, very out of place. The entire tomb glows and rumbles,
as it begins to hover into the air, taking off much to the surprise of everyone present. Eilana
is left stranded in the ‘tomb’ high up in the air with the realisation that this is no tomb. It
was a spaceship.
