EXPRESSIONS OF LOVE

My Dear Sister Loretta,
You have always been our guardian angel. Your gentle smile and sense of humor will always be remembered.
You will always have a place in our hearts and we are forever grateful.

             Love, Your Brothers

Dear Sister-in law,
God placed you in my life 45 years ago when I met your brother David. You were truly a virtuous woman.
You were my Christian role model. You taught me a lot about life. I will always love you and hold you dear
in my heart.

              Love, Your Sister-in-law,
            Cookie

Dear Sister,
I miss you already. I truly cannot believe you are gone. I am going to miss taking you to your doctors appointments
and having lunch afterward. You were my heroine. It seems we grew closer and closer each day we spent together.
God said “Enough is enough” and gave you your wings, and you flew home to heaven. Do not worry about
our brothers. They will be ok. Thank you for always being there for me and our entire family. You were truly
the matriarch! So rest now, my dear sister, and take comfort in the fact you are loved.

            Lovingly submitted,
            Your Sister Elsie

A caring, loving and dedicated, Daughter, Wife, Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, Sister, Sister-in-law,
Aunt, Cousin, Educator, Mentor, Christian, Prayer Partner, Tax Preparer and Writer. Thank you for your
generosity and all your diligent efforts with putting our family first. You were the catalyst organizing the family
gatherings, bible studies, monthly newsletters, barbeques, annual picnics at Oregon Ridge Park and vacations
to Williamsburg, New York, Wildwood and Walt Disney World. Loretta, thank you for all of the lives you
touched during your Christian journey. You are now safe in the arms of Jesus and I know that He would say,
“Well done my good and faithful servant.” See you on the other side.

          Lovingly,
           Patrice (aka) Trecy

Dearest Mom Retta,

What can I say to a great lady of faith, generosity and integrity. You gave so much of yourself to your family,
church family and your Baltimore City Public School family; truly a reflection of our Heavenly Father.

I marvel to think of all the young lives that have walked your school hallways and the impact of your nurturing
spirit and encouraging words on their young lives; an awesome testament to ponder. I reflect on your value of
family unity and togetherness as you planned family meetings and trips, always including games and activities
to add excitement to the trips. Your love for your husband, daughter, grandchildren, and siblings were consistent
and selfless.

The contribution of the many years of service to your church family as part of the Childrens‘ Ministry and
helping to keep the church moving forward with your math and accountant skills will forever be remembered.

I thank you for the words of wisdom and encouragement you have given me over the years. Your maternal
inquiries were endearing to me; reflecting your love and interest to make sure that all was well in my life. I will
miss our talks.

You have truly lived a life of joyous giving. You have truly lived a life that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
has called us to live. Well done, Mom Retta! We will see you on resurrection morning.
