The DILG Family, the LG Sector, with the tripartite Bureaus are mandated under RA 6975 to perform duties and functions in assisting the President in the exercise of the general supervision over the LGUs as well as informing and advising our SILG in various matters concerning Peace and Order and Publlic Safety. Thus, DILG MC No. 95-50 embodies the Organization of the RMCC to serve as the overall coordinating body for effective organizational and coordinative linkages and integration of policies and programs at the Regional level down to the Provinces/Cities and Municipalities. ASPECTS TO ADDRESS/ HIGLIGHTS t h r o u g h C /MMC C Pledge of Commitment towards Peaceful Communities Though the primordial objective of RPCMMCC is to be able to transmit “REAL TIME INFORMATION” to SILG regarding major issues particularly those expected to be published or broadcasted to the different social media platforms. Including Issues and Concerns, actions to be undertaken to address the issues as well as recommended actions for SILG’s consideration. 1. Areas of cooperation be identified for further strengthen linkages of the Council for effective and efficient implementation of our duties and functions. Amongst these are: serving suspensions, Cease and desist orders, Election protests, Conduct of training for our multipliers , BPSOs. 2. Inclusion and Integration of DILG Family especially the Interior Sector for the implementation of our PPAs 3. Sharing of best practices Further, DILG Laguna Cluster-A C/MMCC issued Resolutions before, one of which is the proposed inclusion of BJMP’s crafted indicators to our SGLG Core Area under Peace and Order and Public Safety. -Our C/MMCC regular meeting can be a policy dialogue on our Resource Based Development and shared innovations to be implemented in our respective AORs. CLUSTER-A INITIATED DTP ANALYTICS FORMS ACCOMPLISHMENT WORKSHOP This cluster-initiated activity aimed to assist All Field Officers under Laguna Cluster-A in the accomplishment of DTP Analytics forms so that they could simultaneously and correctly accomplish their tasks in terms of forms submission. The Lecture-workshop on DTP Analytics was facilitated by LGOO IV John Joseph Vasquez of the DILG Regional Office. Cluster Aces hold Gift-giving project In time with the Christmas season, the Cluster Aces family headed by CH Maria Lorilyn Valenzuela Manrique together with our Provincial Director Engr. John M. Cerezo conducted a gift-giving project at Nazareth Bahay Pagibig, a home for the aged in San Pablo City, Laguna last November 24, 2022. This was held right after our cluster meeting hosted by the DILG San Pablo. A courtesy visit with Hon. Vicente Amante, City Mayor of San Pablo was also held to show respect with the host LGU. With the aim to show support with local enterprises, we also visited the Paseo de San Pablo, a new tourist spot and area for small medium enterprises in San Pablo City where a lot of San Pablenos put up small stalls for food business, garments, toys, and other products.

REGIONAL NUTRITION AWARDEES 2022 FROM LAGUNA CLUSTER-A The said awarding ceremony is an annual event carried out by the National Nutrition Council (NNC) to recognize local government units (LGUs) and barangay nutrition scholars (BNSs) who excelled in nutrition in their respective areas. The NNC has been conferring awards, inclusive of trophies and cash prizes, to LGUs and BNSs to applaud their exemplary performance in implementing programs and improving the nutritional status of the people in their communities (LGUs). (data source: NNC website) This evaluation culminates with the recognition of LGUs with excellent performance in nutrition program management and implementation as well as delivery of nutrition services to the communities, now known as the National Nutrition Awarding Ceremony. This year’s awarding ceremony was held in Quezon City. In fulfilling its mission of improving the nutrition situation in the country, the National Nutrition Council embarked on the strategy of Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) with the aim of assessing the effectiveness of local governments in the planning and implementation of nutrition programs from the national down to the local level. Topics discussed are Basic Arnis and Arrest and Seizure. As for the skills enhancement of Lupong Tagapamayapa, she discussed the KP Law with emphasis on KP flow and execution. She also facilitated workshops such as presentation of barangay KP flow and role playing. LOS BANOS The barangay, as the basic political unit and as the primary planning and implementing unit of government policies, plans, programs, projects and activities in the community, was capacitated to mainstream gender perspective in the crafting of their Barangay Development Plan. This was spearheaded by the DILG Los Baños and Municipal Government of Los Baños through its Gender and Development Office and Planning Office. The activity was attended by the Barangay Development Planning Team of the 14 barangays in the municipality. Gerald P. Sotto, discussed the basic tenets of the quasi-judicial functions of the Local Sanggunians which was actively participated by the Sangguniang Bayan Members of the said municipality led by Hon. Vice Mayor Victor L. Mitra. Present also in the seminar was Regional Director Ariel O. Iglesia, CESO III who graced the event with his opening message. In addition, Usec. Atty. Lord A. Villanueva and BLGS OIC-Dir. Debie T. Torres, CESO V, also delivered their keynote and inspirational messages to the participants. Also present were the DILG Laguna Cluster-A Head Maria Lorilyn V. Manrique who facilitated the commitment setting and motivated the participants to consistent apply their new learnings from the said training. The Alaminos DILG Field Officer, MLGOO Maria Kerstine E. Azucena was also present to support and as part of the Traning Management Team. She was one of the chosen delegates during the Training of Trainers for the said capacity development topic held in General Santos City last October 24-28, 2022 together with CH Manrique. ith the aim to strengthen the knowledge of Local Sanggunian’s quasi-judicial functions, the DILG IVA, through its Bantay-Korapsyon Program, conducted a capacity development for the Sangguniang Bayan of Alaminos, Laguna at Hotel Dominique in the City of Tagaytay, Cavite on November 17-18, 2022. The Sangguniang Bayan of Alaminos, has been chosen and identified as the participant in the conduct of the 2022 capacity development on strengthening the knowledge of Local Sanggunian’s QuasiJudicial Functions. The training focused on the concepts, scope and general principles of the quasijudicial functions of local sanggunians through comprehensive discussions, workshops and simulation activities. An open forum was also facilitated by the training management team to ensure a heightened level of understanding to the participants. W
