Well, there are actually a few differences between Malaysia & China. In China,
they use RMB 人民币 (rénmínbì), whereas Malaysia use MYR 马币 (mǎbì) as the

currency. Besides, in Malaysia, we only say 令吉 & 仙 as for ringgit & cent, but in

China they say 元 & 角. In fact, one Ringgit Malaysia equals 1.56 China RMB. Here is

some basic knowledge you need to know.


10.2 What’s the difference between Malaysia money & China money?

example, one ringgit fifty cent 一令吉五十仙 is how Malaysian pronounce whereas the

China people will say it as 一元五角.That’s the difference between Malaysia & China.
All you need to do is just replace the numerical before 令吉 & 仙. For now, you should

There must be situations when you are walking on the street and somebody comes
up to you and ask you to point them the correct direction. Therefore, let’s learn how to

say directions in Mandarin to prepare ourselves for those situations.

1) Xiàng qián zǒu。


向 前 走。(Go straight.)



2) Xiàng yòu zhuǎn。

3) Chuān guò mǎlù ránhòu zhuǎn zuǒ。


穿 过 马 路 然 后 转 左。(Cross the road and turn left.)




4) Lánqiú chǎng zài xuéxiào běibiān。

school.)



5) Wǎng qián zǒu zhídào dǐdá bǎihuò gōngsī。

Of course! The bakery is at the south of the plaza.

Yuánlái rúcǐ! Qǐngwèn shì bùshì yào shùnzhe zhè tiáo jiē zhí zǒu ne?

Búshì de, nǐ xūyào zhí zǒu, ránhòu zài dì yī gè lùkǒu xiàng zuǒ guǎi. Miàn

bāo diàn jiù zài nǐ de yòu biān.

不 是 的,你 需 要 直 走,然 后 在 第 一 个 路 口 向 左 拐。面 包 店 就 在你 的

右 边。

Ránhòu tā yòu zhuǎn bìng jìxù zhí zǒu, zhídào tā jīngguò gōngyuán, zuìhòu


dàodá chāoshì。

To get to the supermarket, James need to walk straight until he reaches the

junction. James then take a right turn and continues to go straight until he
