INTRODUCTION

Our Vision
The vision of SWCS is “conservation and sustainable management of
Sabah’s wetlands”.

Our Mission
The mission of SWCS is “to ensure protection and wise use of all wetlands
in Sabah, through education, research and advocacy”.

Our Objectives

1 To promote the conservation of wetlands in Sabah and the variety of
plants, birds and other kind of living organisms found in them;

2 To raise public awareness and appreciation of wetlands and public
involvement in protecting wetlands; and

3 To Manage Kota Kinabalu Wetland as a model wetland centre for
the purpose of conservation, education, recreation, tourism and
research.

1) To educate 1,250 students on wetlands conservation;
2) To plant 5,000 mangrove trees in Sulaman Lake Forest Reserve, Tuaran and Lemaas Forest Reserve, Kota Belud.
