Originally a Franciscan Monastery, Hacienda Santa Cruz was founded in 1640. Throughout the years, it became an estate home and was eventually transformed into a henequen farm during the apex of the “Green Gold” Age in Yucatan. It was recently restored and turned into a luxury hotel, still preserving that antique look, full of history and traditions.
Hacienda Santa Cruz is included in the list of protected haciendas created by the Mexican Institute of Anthropology and History. It is also considered an intangible world heritage site by the state of Yucatan. Nowadays it has been transformed into a marvelous luxury hotel. It was recently restored as to preserve
a one-of-a-kind personality and character.
Comprising an area of 5 hectares (12.35 acres), Hacienda Santa Cruz has vast and beautiful gardens and 25 rooms and suites – each of them with distinctive details. It also has excellent spaces to hold social

Hacienda Santa Cruz preserves the original layout of its buildings, where it is possible to notice the old Monastery, The Engine Room, and the beautiful Chapel in its landscape.

rooms A JOURNEY BACK IN TIME
The rooms area is divided into two areas.The Old Quarter Area is the oldest portion in the complex as it dates back to 1640. A clear majority of our suites are located in this area. The original rooms were revamped into these suites, and were transformed into personally distinctive spaces since all the suites are completely different from one another.
Some of these suites have rooms enclosed by strong 1.40 m (13’)-thick walls, providing a unique experience that takes the guest into a journey back to the 17th Century. The second section is fairly new, and located in the Hacienda’s main gardens, which also display an unremarkable beauty and comfort.
With a total number of 25 rooms with an area ideal to welcome couples and up to 5-member families, Hacienda Santa Cruz is delighted to provide top-quality services.
All the rooms in Hacienda Santa Cruz have a magnificent view to our beautiful gardens and private terraces.They are decorated with typical elements from the region, such as Chukum and local timber, giving them an identity of their own while preserving the original Mayan charm.

Hacienda Santa Cruz is in a 5-hectare space (12.35 acres),extending across beautiful gardens that provide a moment of relaxation while observing the various kinds of trees and plants, ranging from the endemic Pich (a regional tree) and ceibas to orange trees, flame trees, palm trees and golden rain trees.
The gardens are fully lit with small and warm lamps – some of them are hanging from the trees branches –, illuminating the Hacienda’s roads as to create a magical, yet cozy environment.






Valentina HAUTE CUISINE
Located in one part of the Old Quarter Area and with a view over beautiful gardens, our restaurant Valentina is your ticket to a journey across Mayan flavors.
Conceived by our chef Pedro May, the menu showcases ancient techniques that are mixed with contemporary cuisine, and each of its dishes juts out flavors, textures and colors of the region.
Valentina has an area that was particularly conceived to cater up to 70 guests in a private terrace with a natural and quiet ambiance. It also has an open cafeteria to complement this experience.
Hacienda Santa Cruz has a unique proposal to offer, where cuisine, tradition and history make the ultimate combination.


Our chef Pedro May have learned the secrets of Pre-Hispanic cuisine from his mother and grand-mother. Throughout his career, may has come up with a cooking style of his own, creating dishes that have made Valentina a culinary paradise.

Hacienda Santa Cruz has a one-of-a-kind Spa, occupying a 1,000 m (3280’) area distributed in a full Beauty Center that provides regular and deep cleansing facials, masks; energetic, therapeutic, holistic and Indian massages, body exfoliations, and honey and chocolate beauty treatments.
It offers an ideal space to experience well-being and relaxation as well as a unique area for hydro massage in the state of Yucatan. It has private cabinets for individual or couple massages. It also provides local and traditional treatments based on our idea of well-being and comfort.








cenote & POOLS
Hacienda Santa Cruz has a beautiful, good-size artificial cenote. It has 7 m (23’) deep and its water has been purified by nature itself.






Additionally, the pools have the ideal temperature and are surrounded by green areas and gardens – one of them has a view to our restaurant Valentina, the perfect place to spend some quality time to relax.
