Keeping
the
promise...
Let
me
first
start
by
saying
how
deeply
grateful
to
God
we
are
for
His
abundant
mercies
on
us
and
His
undeniable
continuous
presence
in
our
lives.
Today,
we
would
have
been
celebrating
the
48th
Birthday
of
my
darling
wife,
notwithstanding,
we
are
indeed
here
to
celebrate
something
in
her
honour,
something
very
dear
to
her...
her
legacy.
Before
her
departure,
as
you
must
have
heard,
she
gave
very
clear
and
detailed
instructions
of
this
vision
which
we
see
becoming
a
reality,
one
location
at
a
time.
This
vision
executed
by
the
grace
of
God
through
the
Jennifer
Etuh
Foundation
(JEF)
gave
birth
to
the
first
Medical
Center
in
Odu
Ogboyega,
Dekina
LGA,
Kogi
State
which
was
commissioned
on
26th
January
2022,
exactly
730
days
after
she
went
to
be
with
the
Lord.
Today,
we
are
here
in
Kagoro,
Kaduna
State,
to
commission
Jennifer
Etuh
Specialist
Hospital,
the
2nd
medical
facility
out
of
the
six
planned
for
the
six
geopolitical
zones
of
Nigeria.
This
particular
commissioning
is
very
important
to
us
as
it
is
located
in
the
State,
Local
Government
and
community
of
my
darling
wife.
The
fact
that
this
facility
was
built
at
a
time
when
there
are
still
security
challenges
in
and
around
Kagoro
could
only
have
been
done
by
the
hand
of
God,
to
whom
we
are
most
grateful.
As
we
commission
this
medical
facility,
our
prayer
is
for
God
to
keep
answering
the
prayers
of
my
late
wife
which
was
to
bring
relief
to
many
so
that
they
don't
go
through
the
sickness,
nay,
the
pains
she
went
through.
To
the
glory
of
God,
we
are
seeing
the
Almighty
God
making
her
dreams,
wishes
and
prayers
a
reality.
You
are
most
welcome
and
I
want
to
personally
appreciate
you
all
for
taking
out
time
from
your
busy
schedules
to
be
here
physically.
We
are
grateful
to
all
who
have
stood
with
us
and
supported
us
in
various
ways,
from
our
hearts
we
say
thank
you.
To
the
board
members
and
staff
of
Jennifer
Etuh
Foundation,
and
our
friends
who
supervised
the
project,
we
are
grateful.
My
prayer
is
for
God
to
continue
to
grant
us
more
of
His
grace
to
do
far
more
than
my
darling
wife
desired
and
envisioned.
May
God
bless
us
all
and
take
us
back
safe
and
sound
to
our
respective
homes
when
we
return.
Amen.

Mr.

of
his

Jennifer

who
was
called

on
26th

The
official
opening
and
launching
of
Jennifer
Etuh
Specialist
Hospital,
Mallagum
Kagoro,
Kaduna
State
is
part
of
the
vision
of
late
Mrs.
Jennifer
Etuh
is
to
provide
available,
accessible,
and
affordable
world
class
healthcare
services
to
women,
children
and
all
the
people
in
the
community,
and
indeed
the
people
of
Kaduna
State
and
Nigeria
as
a
whole;
to
help
them
live
a
healthy
and
fulfilling
life.
The
Jennifer

will
be

by

Jennifer
Etuh
Specialist
Hospital
is
sited
on
a
12-hectare
land
in
Mallagum,
Kagoro,
Kaduna
State,
Nigeria.
Like
its
peer
in
Odu
Ogboyega,
the
hospital
has
an
Outpatient
Department
(OPD),
3
Consulting
Rooms,
Pharmacy,
Antenatal,
Special
Care
Baby
Unit,
Intensive
Care

accommodation
consisting
of
2-bedroom
housing
for
doctors,
4
self-contain

To
unequivocally
posit
the
believe
of
the
Jennifer
Etuh
Foundation
Board
that
medical
experts
and
world
class
hospitals
can
only
observe
and
make
recommendations
on
health
issues
while
actual
healing
comes
from
God

why
a

is
sited
at
the

for
the
spiritual
nourishment
of
the
staff
and
patients
of
the
hospital
and
to
offer
praises
and
thanksgiving
to
the
God
that
heals
our
diseases.
The
siting
of
Jennifer
Etuh
Specialist
Hospital
in
Mallagum,
Kagoro
is
aimed
at
bringing
to
reality
the
wishes
of
Mrs.
Etuh
who
had
wondered
why
world
class
Medicare
is
available
only
to
the
rich
and
affluent
that
can
travel
outside
the
shores
of
Nigeria,
and
for
the
ones
that
seek
for
Medicare
in- country,
the
good
hospitals
are
available
only
in
the
cities,
with
no
consideration
for
affordability
or
accessibility
the
poor
and
rural
dwellers.
While
on
her
sick
bed,
the
late
Jennifer
Etuh
had,
as
one
of
her
few
last
wishes,
the
establishment
of
world-class
hospitals
in
locations
across
Nigeria.

Empowering
women
and
young
girls
in
Nigeria
with
quality
education
While
it
is
correct
to
say
Jennifer
Etuh
Foundation
(JEF)
was
established
in
2020
in
memory
of
the
late
Mrs.
Jennifer
Ramatu
Etuh
who
lived
an
exemplary
humanitarian
life,
technically
speaking,
the
foundation
has
been
in
existence
in
the
life
and
times
of
Mrs.
Etuh.
She
was
passionate
about
helping
the
needy,
creating
opportunities
to
uplift
women
and
girls
she
encountered,
giving
them
educational
and
vocational
support
and
other
forms
of
care
that
would
empower
and
give
them
an
advantage
in
life.
While
living
a
selfless
and
impactful
life,
Jennifer
was
a
dedicated
lover
of
God,
constantly
putting
smiles
on
the
faces
of
those
within
her
reach,
needy
or
not.
She
can
rightly
be
described
as
an
embodiment
of
Matthew
5:16
which
says:
“let
your
light
so
shine
before
men
that
they
may
see
your
good
works
and
glorify
your
father
which
is
in
heaven.”
Worthy
of
note
is
that,
whenever
Jennifer
hears
of
a
need
that
requires
urgent
attention,
whether
she
knows
the
person
or
not,
she
locates
herself
in
that
need
and
becomes
the
solution
or
part
of
the
solution.
While
on
her
sick
bed,
instead
of
looking
out
for
herself,
Jennifer
was
'mindful'
of
people,
regularly
sending
out
financial
assistance
to
people
in
need.
Since
the
setting
up
of
the
Jennifer
Etuh
Foundation,
it
has
intervened
in
the
education
and
empowerment
of
women
and
girls
from
different
walks
of
life
with
support
ranging
from
school
fees,
vocation
starter
packs
and
start
up
capital
for
petty
trading.
The
foundation
also
offer
counseling
on
smart
and
godly
life
choices
to
not
only
the
beneficiaries
of
the
foundation,
but
other
people
they
come
in
contact
with.
At
the
height
of
the
COVID-19
pandemic
in
2020,
the
foundation
showed
their
'love
in
action'
by
supporting
Nigerian
families
with
essential
supplies
and
financial
palliatives
to
cope
with
the
difficult
times
caused
by
the
economic
lock
down
in
Abuja,
Kaduna,
and
Kogi
States.
In
its
few
years
of
establishment,
the
foundation
has,
amongst
other
interventions,
given
full
scholarships
to
outstanding
indigent
students
that
erstwhile
could
not
afford
school
fees
in
Christ
Ambassadors
College,
Kaduna,
with
several
other
students
at
different
levels
of
studies
in
different
schools
also
being
supported
by
the
foundation.
The
foundation
also
stepped
into
a
poverty
induced
situation
to
“rescue”
a
mother
whose
daughter
was
terminally
ill
in
Benue
State.
The
daughter
had
a
renal
dysfunction
(kidney
breakdown).
She
eventually
got
medical
help
that
reversed
the
situation
but
could
not
pay
the
bill
because
she
could
not
afford
it.
In
one
of
his
calls
to
get
his
payment,
the
woman
told
the
Doctor
that
she
is
so
broke
that
can't
even
feed
herself
and
her
daughter,
she
told
the
Doctor
about
a
man
that
was
willing
to
give
her
N2,000.00
(Two
Thousand
Naira)
to
feed,
only
on
the
condition
that
he
slept
with
her.
When
Mr.
Thomas
Etuh
heard
about
that,
he
asked
that
money
should
be
sent
to
the
woman
and
asked
the
foundation
to
take
over
the
education
of
the
daughter
who
is
currently
in
JSS
3.
