LIFE IN LOCKDOWN

Corona dragged itself into the world from the dragonland,
Though the Dragon denies in its migration it has any hand.

Not just one state or one nation is locked,
Actually the whole world is locked where no one is allowed to flock.

It has killed lacs if not millions,
But it has ruined economies of trillions.

In India workers and labourers in throngs on foot or stuffed in lorries and
trucks like cattle,

May God give them immunity to fight Corona battle.

Mobile and televisions are now only the source of information,
Newspapers are being stopped for some duration.

Hordes of young and old , men and women on bikes and mobikes, autos and
tempos tell the tales of miserable plight,

Whereas in contrast their privileged brethren come home by Air India flight.

It reminds of refugee migration of 1947 partition,
Sights of little children loaded on luggage speak of distress and destitution.

This virus is taking place of Spanish flu,
Whose treatment is only day-night curfew.

It was the time when lockdown was not there,
People were gathering here and there.

Tragic reality cannot be changed,
Only the habits can be.

Remember always to wear a mask whenever you stumble out for any
essential need.

QUARANZINE 2020

Sometimes I think about them, who are in isolation,
And solicit to God to give them strong immunity for prevention.

We wonder how in this wrenching crisis others are alive,
And they wonder how we manage to survive.
Whenever I see the blue,
I always cry,
I don’t know why?
And wish to be a bird flying high in the sky.
I want to run out
But I can’t.
I want to play with my friends
But I can’t.
I want to meet my relatives
But I can’t,
Because I am locked in my home,
Like a story in the tome.
What a life it is!
Nothing to talk,
No place to walk,
This is the real pain of lockdown;
Which I really don’t want.

First time felt the beauty of neighbourhood!!

Staying with the family at home inside!
Feeling very pity for CORONA outside!!
Walking on the roof top watching towards sky!
Seeing the pretty birds and beautiful butterfly!!

LOCKDOWN

I thought someone had locked me in home from outside,
Then remembered the temporary law of staying at home is applied.

If you get bored, then enjoy with family,
Or alone play with your old toys timely.

Better is doing studies offline,
Adjust for some time studying online.

Learned much of the housework,
For which we should have smirk.
Parents are angry when screen time is more,
But happy when we clean the floor.

My sister and I made sweets,
But funny, it turned out to bitter treats.
In online classes knowledge we are gaining,
By putting headphones ears are paining.
It has been a long time seeing the smiling faces,
Because of wearing mask to avoid coronavirus cases.
Washing hands many times become the necessity,
Roaming here and there is banned in city.
Maintaining social distance and knowing importance of cleaning,
Staying at home and saving ourselves from covid 19 is a winning.

ARTICLE ON LOCKDOWN

When the lockdown started, I was getting bored as I had to stay home to
stay safe so I thought of doing something new. I learned how to write
poems and how to upload pics on powerpoint. I loved to play with my
little brother and spent time on doing something creative. At first, it was
a bit new to me to attend ‘online classes’ but now I am used to it. I
helped my mother with the household work. I would go cycling twice a
week, do exercise and do yoga. The happiest time in the lockdown was
when I was preparing for my state festival about RAJASTHAN. I love to
read magazines and story books in my free time. In the lockdown I
created a new routine and did things that I never did before. I just
started coding on code.org and math classes on khan academy. I am also
attending online guitar classes. I learned a new hygiene of wearing a
mask and sanitizing hands frequently. STAY HOME STAY SAFE.

LOCKDOWN

Lockdown means when people are not allowed to go out of the house.
Lockdown is imposed in an emergency situation in a country. Since
March 25th lockdown has been imposed in our country. It has been
imposed because of COVID-19 infection. This disease spreads from
person to person by droplets. We feel scared to go out of the house. We
feel bored as we can’t play outside. We are passing time by playing
indoor games and reading books. Always sitting at home is very boring.
We were happy when online classes were started. In lockdown we are
eating all homemade sweets and food. During lockdown no outside food
is allowed. I am eagerly waiting to meet my new teachers and
classmates. Hope lockdown will be lifted soon.

LOCKDOWN

For the last 3 months, from the month of March, we all are living in
lockdown. There is a coronavirus disease which is spreading very fast
and so we have to live in lockdown.

During this lockdown, I did drawing, singing and played piano. I learnt
to solve sudoku, read stories of Secret Seven and Geronimo Stilton,
helped my mom in kitchen work. During the evening hours, I played
badminton with my sister and father. Sometimes my mom also played
carrom with us. I did many other things as well! I watched Ramayan
and Mahabharat on TV which increased my knowledge. Since our
schools were closed, we used to have online classes. This was a new
type of class for me. I have not met any of my teachers or classmates
except my old friends Adya and Chirayu. But I enjoyed studying online
a lot and did my homework as well. In the State festival, I played piano
along with singing and everyone clapped for me. Now our classes are
over and summer vacations have started. I am enjoying this lockdown
because I am spending time with my family but at the same time I miss
my school and friends too......!!!

A BIG DEVIL – CORONA

COVID – 19 full form Corona Virus.
Corona virus is a family of viruses which is causing disease in humans &
animals. Its origin is from China. The person gets infected by touch and also it
is transferable disease.
It has already spread across the world. Any person or family infected by this
disease has to be Isolated for 1-16 days. Due to Covid 19 whole world was
under lockdown for almost 50 days. People were advised not to go out of their
house till it is emergency.
Due to this lockdown everyone has to stay in house with their families.
Children below 10 and elders above 50 have to take more care and
precautions. If by chance we have to go out, we must use mask covering our
Nose & Mouth.
This disease has brought many change in everyone’s life starting with children
they are not to able to go to school, Teachers & Students are Meeting on Zoom
or Microsoft for new session.
They are not able to meet their friends, go outside for playing in evening.
Having summer vacation children are not able to go to Nani Ghar. Parents have
to change time table due to excess of work on mother. They have to read,
understand and make child do the work.
Elders are not able to go out for walk, for little Gup Shup with neighbors.
Our Police Force, Doctors and other corona warriors are helping the nation to
go rid of this devil.
I thanks to all the people who are trying their best & helping us to survive in
the world.
I pray to God to take away this disease.
During this crucial time I also enjoyed with my family but missed some friends
& other family members. I helped my mother in many works eg-: Dusting,
Cleaning. I understood the importance of Cleanliness and how important it is
to use mask to protect us and our close ones from getting this disease.
I used to wash hands regularly. One of my favorite pass time was to clean my
home with mummy, doing lot exercise (Zumba) in evening with family to
increase immunity.
We played Cards, Ludo, Carrom, Chess, and Badminton etc. I started chopping
slowly with my mother, making dish by watching YouTube.

EXPERIENCE OF LOCKDOWN

Currently, not just India, but the whole world is facing the pandemic of
COVID 19. In order to keep us safe, our hon'ble prime minister Shri
Narendra Modi declared lockdown on March 22, 2020. This was the first
experience for all of us. My parents made me aware of this disease and
the precautions to be taken to stay safe. From the TV and newspapers, I
learned the importance of self-hygiene and cleanliness of surroundings.
The task of dusting and cleaning home was assigned to all the family
members. I got the responsibility of cleaning the door's handle and
windows using sodium hypo solution which I am performing well. I got
the opportunity of watching epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata in the
company of my grandparents. It was an amazing experience and I
learned many good things to follow in life. I also helped my mummy in
little household works. Apart from this, online learning was a great
experience for me. I enjoyed this with full zeal and enthusiasm. My
teachers have been kind enough to make me understand all the things
and they took care of my study very well. This pandemic has taught many
lessons for our life. We started caring for each other in the family and
spending quality time with elders. It also taught us the value of savings in
our life. I learned that I should avoid extravagance because a penny saved
is a penny earned. We often pray to the Almighty to help us get rid of this
pandemic so that our life becomes as it was earlier.

AN UNSEEN ENEMY

“Unseen enemy is the most dangerous enemy” Yes, corona virus has proved
it right. The whole world is fighting with corona virus. Our Prime Minister
Shri Narender Modi has said that where there is a hope there is a way.
Corona virus is killing thousands of people every day. The only way to stop
its deadly game is to break its chain. For this we have to follow some rules
with full determination like…
-Follow social distancing.
-Wash your hands frequently.
-Wear face mask.
-Boost your immunity
This enemy is not only killing us but also our economy. So, to save our
economy Shri Narender Modi has given a vision of “Atmanirbhar Bharat”
with a slogan “Vocal for local”. This is the only way left to make our
economy stand up again and defeat this hidden enemy.

LOCKDOWN EXPERIENCE

As we all know we were not aware of lockdown. All shopping malls,
schools, cinema halls, market were closed. We are not allowed to go
out if it is not necessary. We are like locked in our home. We were not
aware of online classes. When lockdown started, I didn’t even touch my
main gate. In the evening all the family members go on the terrace to
walk. In free time my mom and I make a beautiful doll house with the
help of cardboard. My mom also made new dishes like cake,
manchurian, gulabjamun etc. Every day I play snakes and ladders and
ludo with my mom and grandmother. I also help my mom in kitchen. I
have learnt to make tea, chapati and coffee. I learnt to do stone
panting’s, art and craft and drawing. I am missing my friends and
relatives so much. I made videos of different activities given by the
teachers. I have learned so many things in this lockdown period.

POSITIVE SIDES OF LOCKDOWN

Listening of the Covid 19 news! I was really scared and felt nervous but
after talking to my mom and dad, I felt a bit relaxed and better. They told
me about the number of things that can be done during this lockdown
period.
Seeing the positive sides - Clean air, clean sky, clean environment are
perhaps the biggest boons and blessings to each one of us.
During the normal course of life, children follow a regular routine of
going to school and adjusting their remaining time in studies, play and
entertainment. Now with the continuous phase of lockdown in fact, we
all are locked within the four walls.
It is indeed an inconvenience but let's try to look at the other side of the
coin and discover the advantages quarantining has brought into our lives.
The extra time that the children are saving during the lockdown can be
used for a variety of productive and constructive purposes that can help
in their development, academic or otherwise. This can include gardening,
cooking, reading non-curriculum books, doing art and crafts activities,
playing indoor mind games, recycling old clothes and enjoying some DIY
activities.
Each child can practise self-paced learning and enjoy his/her time with
the books.
Now that everyone is at home, no child is feeling the peer pressure.
We are having the best of time by enjoying the day with our family
members and relatives.

COVID -19- A Pandemic

COVID-19 is a highly infectious and rapidly spreading disease caused by 2019 novel
Coronavirus. It causes respiratory illness and spreads by direct contact with
infected person and coughing and sneezing of infected person. When healthy
people are infected, it causes mild disease but in old people and people who have
diseases of heart, kidney, lungs and cancer it causes serious illness and more
chances of death. The first case of coronavirus was reported on 19 December 2019
in Wuhan, China. At that time, the world was not aware about this virus. The
spreading of this virus started from a town in China called Wuhan. When people of
China started travelling internationally, this virus started spreading to other
countries. Many people got infected and many died. The people who were seriously
ill were kept in ICU in hospitals. The burden of infected people increased
tremendously in the hospitals due to rapidly increasing cases of COVID- 19.Doctors
and health workers who were taking care of COVID patients also got infected and
few died. The governments of various countries decided to lockdown. International
trade and travel stopped.
The economic condition of countries was badly affected. China, Italy, America, Iran
and Brazil are some countries which reported maximum cases and deaths due to
COVID-19.
The first case of COVID-19 in India, was reported on 30 January 2020.As of 4 June
2020, the ministry of Health and Family Welfare has confirmed a total of 216,919
cases, 104,107 recoveries and 6,075 deaths in the country. The people who were
COVID positive were isolated and after contact tracing, suspected contacts were
kept in quarantine. On 24 march 2020, the government of India decided to
implement lockdown across the country.
Shopping malls, restaurants, cinema halls and small shops got closed and the
people employed there lost their jobs. During lockdown, poor labourers decided to
go back to their state but they could not go because of no means of transportation..
Many decided to walk hundreds of kilometres on foot but on their way back home
many of them died of hunger and thirst. Children could not go to school because of
lockdown and need to attend online classes. They could not do outdoor activities.
But the positive side of lockdown is that a family has got a chance to spend time
together and work together in this difficult situation.
This pandemic caused loss of lives and economies of the whole world. The
scientists from worldwide are working hard to make a vaccine against this disease.
To prevent the spread of this disease, we should stay at home and go out only when
it is very important. When we go out, we should follow social distancing and wear
masks. We should thank our health workers who are fighting this battle against
COVID -19 by risking their lives. We hope that this pandemic ends soon.

HOME QUARANTINE

Quarantine or home quarantine the worst thing which happened in
everybody’s life including me. Sometimes, I thought why this Corona
virus has come and made our life worst but on the other side, I thank to
God at least during this time we all as a nation are understanding the
problem of others. The families have come closer and spending time
together. On the other hand, we don’t go out in the functions or the
parties together.

Lockdown has made every mother a baker and dad a barber as the
unexpected virus has come in the life of ours. Studying at home through
virtual classes has been equally beneficial for us. Teachers face network
issues still try to resolve our problems until we say that “mam now it is
fine”. We all should pay respect to the Corona Warriors who serve the
nation to make us safe without taking care of that they are more prone to
the disease.

ATMANIRBHAR BHARAT

‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ is a great initiative put forward by our Prime
Minister, Narendra Modi. This campaign is initiated to help and raise
Indian economy by using products made in India. India has faced major
economic crisis because of the lockdown imposed due to COVID – 19. But
we have seen that local vendors, products and services helped us to
survive in these difficult times, when all transport services were blocked.
This gives us an idea that it is very important for us to promote and
preserve local skills and products by our own vendors. This will create new
jobs and also encourage local vendors to learn new techniques of
production and thus result in the overall growth of Indian economy. More
usage of brands like Amul, Parle, Mother Dairy, MTR, MDH, Patanjali,
Britannia, Dabur, ITC, Daawat must be encouraged. Our government has
announced a special economic package worth 20 lakh crore to help and
uplift local vendors and businesses.
I support Narendra Modi and will buy more and more local products and
will proudly promote “Make in India”.

TIME FOR EMPATHY NOT APATHY
TOWARDS CORONA WARRIORS

We have clapped for them, lit diyas to salute the bravery shown by our
very own Corona Warriors. But there’s another side to the battle. We saw
multiple instances where Doctors, Policemen and other health workers
were being attacked.

Doctors have been spat at and patients directed abusive and vulgar
language towards health workers. One video, which has gone viral,
showed people throwing stones at two female doctors in the city of
Indore. Some physicians and their families have also been excluded by
their neighbours because of their exposure to patients infected with
Covid-19. A lot of health workers have also complained of lack of PPE kits
available for their own safety.

We must empathise with every doctor, every policeman, and every health
worker who are fighting a bigger battle than the pandemic itself, that is,
the fight against their own fears. We must understand that they are
risking their own lives and are also putting their family members in
danger as well. Government and we, as responsible citizens must
encourage them, thank them and help them and their families in every
possible way. Government must ensure that the health workers are
provided with enough PPE kits and other medical supplies for their
safety.

The time is tough, but only they can help us come out of it victorious.

EXPERIENCE OF CORONA LOCKDOWN

Corona virus is a pandemic and has affected the whole world including
India. Because of this disease, lockdown was started from 22 March 2020.
People can’t come out from their houses because of this lockdown. For this
reason, our classes have been conducted through online platform. Our
teachers have also given us few activities other than studies to keep us
busy. I helped my mother in the household chores. I have made many
paintings and I have used my creativity in them. I have done many science
experiments and I understood the concept. I have also watered the plants
in my garden and took care of them. So ,it has been a new kind of

MY LOCKDOWN EXPERIENCE

Someone has rightly said, “Life is like an ice-cream, enjoy it, before it melts
!!” We all have got this one life and who would want it to spend it all alone
keeping oneself locked, that too in his/her own house. But this tiny virus
Covid-19 has brought the whole world on its knees. Initially, I too was a bit
disappointed but then I decided to overcome this mental block. So, I started
considering this lockdown phase as that beautiful time in which I can
improve my skills.
Every coin has two sides, it’s up to us whether we choose positive or
negative side. For me, it was the time when I learned so many things like
painting and dancing. I helped my mother in dusting, cleaning my
cupboard, arranging bed sheet etc. I learned how to take care of plants and
spend time reading books.
For all of us it is very important to keep our motivation high so that we can
win any hard time. Lockdown has taught us so many things and the most
important thing is that family is very important and with our near and dear
ones even hell becomes heaven. I will always cherish this unique
experience of lockdown and social distancing in my life.

LOCKDOWN DAYS

It is rightly said that we should take the life as it come and live every
moment of it. In these tough days of lockdown, we are forced to live at
home but in some or the other way we are enjoying it. Things which we
were doing before but due to busy life we were not getting time to do,
now those activities are being done, like: cooking, dancing, exercising etc.
This lockdown has given me a chance to enhance my creativity and
writing skills. This phase has also made us realize the importance of
cleanliness and hygiene. The way every coin has two sides. This
lockdown period too has certain pros and cons. This pandemic has
brought down our economy and many people have lost their work. Our
Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi Ji is trying to solve all the problems
and encouraging us to use local goods. If we will purchase local goods
then it will give employment to our people and increase our economy.
Despite all the problems, I am utilizing this time by learning a musical
instrument "Dholak", baking cake and by playing various traditional
games. This deadly virus can lockdown a country but not anyone's spirit
as no one can stop us from exploring and learning.

HOW DID I SPEND

THE LOCKDOWN PERIOD ?

We all know Covid-19 pandemic is spreading throughout the world. Many
countries including India went into lockdown. We were advised to stay
inside home to keep ourselves safe. So, I thought that “How will I go outside
and have fun?”, “How will I play with my friends?”, “How will I go to
school?”. But I decided to think positively and got many ideas for what
should I do. I decided to have a good time with my family. I did many
exciting and amazing activities at home. I made many crafts items like
paper fire extinguisher using a bottle and a working elevator using a string
and a box. I also made a paper racing car using my toy car motor. I played
chess with my mother and always win using bishop and knight. I played
badminton also with her. My mother taught me to cook poha. I just need
some practice in measuring how much spices I have to use. I helped my
mother in making different shaped samosas. I made a dip using
mayonnaise and sauce. I named it ‘Mayoce.’ I got more time to take care of
my grandmother. I learnt many things in maths from her. She is very strict
but she loves me a lot. I made many pencil sketches like statue maker,
Vishnu Vishwa Avatar, war scenes, swimming pool, under sea scene, Shivaji
Maharaj and many more. In the lockdown period, initially I missed school
but when I got the message about online classes I jumped with excitement.
Now, I didn’t have to think what should I do now. Thanks to our Principal
for arranging online classes for us. I am really thankful to have teachers
who worked hard for us. I think that our teachers are Corona warriors too
who work for children’s education in lockdown period restlessly. They
taught us each and every thing in an interesting way using power point
presentations and videos that helped us in learning subjects more easily.
They also gave us ten to fifteen minutes at the end of the sessions to ask
our doubts to ensure that every child understood the chapter or the topic
well. In this way I made best use of lockdown period by doing fun activities,
attending online classes, spending great time with my family and keeping
myself safe by staying at home.

LOCKDOWN

Lockdown is implemented to save people’s lives during an epidemic or
pandemic. All the services are banned except the emergency services
,schools, colleges, factories; electrical shops are all shut down during
lockdown. Hospitals, clinics, grocery stores will stay open during
lockdown fire departments , electrical departments and petrol pumps
will also continue to work. As there is no vaccine for this disease
lockdown was the option for many countries. Functions which involve
huge crowds are not allowed. Although the lockdown has been
implemented to save people’s lives and prevent the spread of covid-19 it
has made a bad influence on the economy of the world. Many poor people
are facing difficulty earning their daily bread because of unemployment.
Our combined efforts will help eradicate the disease.

REVERSE MIGRATION

Migration means when people from a place moves to another place in
search of work. COVID-19 pandemic lockdown has resulted in a grave
situation, i.e., ‘reverse migration’. To control spread of this disease the
government of India had imposed a nationwide complete lockdown
since 21 March 2020. All economic activities had to stood still due to
which these migratory workers became jobless and faced many
problems relating to lack of basic requirements like food and shelter.
They were left with no other option except to return to their home. The
magnitude of this reverse migration is so large that it has surpassed the
migration at time of India – Pakistan partition. The government is
trying to prevent this reverse migration by providing them food and
shelter. At various places quarantine centers have been established but
all efforts b y government and N.G.Os have been proved insufficient.
This reverse migration has led to tremendous problems and tragedies
example, road accidents, railway track accidents, starvation and above
all has increased the spread of COVID-19 infection raising a big
question mark on the central government decisions and efforts.

LOCKDOWN EXPERIENCE

To prevent the spread of covid 19, the government of our country locked
down and advised people to stay at home. Our school was closed so that
we could avoid the virus. In this lock down I learned many new things. I
learned to study through online classes from home for the first time. All
the teachers helped us in our studies and explained all the topics very
well. I did not feel that our leave was going on. I spent quality time with
my family during this time. I have my mother, father and elder brother
at my house. My father is a doctor in AIIMS. He has to go to the hospital
every day. I like that my father is helping the needy people. My mother is
a homemaker; she also taught me some new things while staying at
home. I also helped her in her household work. My elder brother is
preparing for IIT. My brother helps me in studies. Both of us play
together and help in household chores.
This is a very difficult time for some people. People have to go through a
lot of trouble. During this lockdown all other shops were closed except
for the items of essential goods. The means of transport such as buses,
rail etc. were also closed. I and my parents experienced the lock down

CORONA EPIDEMIC

Through TV / radio / newspapers, etc. we saw, heard and read about
the corona disease that people of many countries got infected with, and
many died. Corona or Covid-19 is a respiratory infectious disease that
spreads to others through the corona virus coming into contact with an
infected person or object, gradually affecting our respiratory system,
which can also lead to death. Therefore the government of our country
implemented a lockdown to prevent and control its infection in the
country. During this lockdown, school holidays took place and our
evacuation also stopped. During this time, I learned many uses of
computers and mobile phones such as - studying online and learning
new dance steps from team app, zoom app, whats app, youtube etc.
Apart from this, I spent time with family members, in which I sat with
everyone and had dinner together, played antakshari, listened to the
experiences of elders. It gave the family a chance to get to know and
love and harmonise among themselves. Along with this, most of the
tasks were also learned to be done at home, and to live with limited
resources.
Corona is spread by contact with an infected person or object. There is a
high risk of it in crowded places.
There is no cure or treatment of Corona yet, and its prevention is the
only cure. So, in crowded places, in public places, at work places, when
exiting the house, put a mask on the mouth and maintain social distance
from others, follow the government orders and instructions.
While the environment has benefited from the lockdown caused by this
corona epidemic, we have got a lot of new situations and new directions
to be prepared to deal with them, it has also lost many lives.
We will always remember this time of corona and lockdown.

QUARANZINE 2020

Covid-19 affected human which lead to severe problems like respiratory
problems, fever, cold and cough etc. Though corona has affected the world ,
it has taught me [us] a lesson. It taught me to value our life , to lead our life
happily in a stable way. Our contemporary life also taught us a lesson that
‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness.’ Corona a Risk …… We try to avoid it as far
as possible. I was little scared, little unbothered but slowly and gradually I
understood that it is very risky to go out. But my family and my friends
pushed up my confidence .

In this lockdown period of two months, our environment has become clean
and pollution free . In this lock down period I became self responsible and
was able to manage my time as per my daily schedule. I helped my mom in
her house hold work. I washed and cleaned the utensils, I enjoyed a lot. I
also helped my mom in preparing baking dishes like cake, browinies,
breads, cookies, pudding, desserts etc. these are all my favourites and I
enjoyed a lot helping her. It was a nice experience and felt happy eating
those yummy dishes as I had made them.

One day in the morning, during the breakfast our pressure cooker burst out
and got stuck on the ceiling wall. It was a great damage. Facing this
situation I was scared . For two days I didn’t went inside the kitchen. But
my mom explained me that these are the part of life. Don’t be scared
anymore. Just be careful and alert .

I helped her in mopping too. But after that I got pain in my hands and legs.
At that moment I realized how difficult it is to manage daily routine, so does
my mom and all the females too. I cleaned my bookshelves, wardrobe every
week. What an amazing experience it was –I enjoyed, a little bit scared, felt
hard doing these . I have became self responsible too.

I gave sometime for my health too. I went for cycling in the morning, did
some exercise. Doing this I felt fit, fresh and brisk the whole day. Due to
online classes from my school I enjoyed the stem – lab activity at home. I
also tried and presented the activity in front of my science sir. In this critical
time of lock down, I came to know about my religious History – Ramayana
and Mahabharata.

QUARANZINE 2020

Expressing my experience in this situation – we harmed the environment
with pollution. Covid-19 is one of the punishment for us. We must follow
all the precautions and stay safe. God would help us to heal the Earth.
The world would smile. We have to cooperate with our super heroes –
Police men, Doctors , workers . Every risk has a path to get rid of it. The
only thing that we have to do is to find the way .
At the time of British rule in India ,we all fought with our weapons and
we all were outside our home to fight for Independence. But now we
have to stay home and safe to get Independence. Trust the God and just
pray for Life .
‘WE ARE INSIDE , CORONA IS OUTSIDE.’

MY PRIDE IS SAYING – “IT IS IMPOSSIBLE”
MY STRENGTH IS SAYING – “IT IS TOO DIFFICULT”
MY REASON IS SAYING – “IT IS POINTLESS”
BUT MY HEART IS SAYING – “LET’S GIVE A TRY , WE WILL DO IT”

QUARANTINE PERIOD

Someone has rightly said regarding quarantine “Nothing in life is to be
feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so
that we may fear less”. In this hour of quest, the key which we use to defeat
this dreaded disease which has spread all over the world namely Covid-19
is quarantine. Many of us have heard of this word but very few among us
understand its true meaning . The meaning of quarantine is that it is a
restriction on movement of people and goods which is intended to prevent
the spread of disease. In the life stage of an infected man, the hardest part
of an infected person during the infectious period is the quarantine period
which is a period of time that must elapse before those exposed to or
attacked by a contagious disease. There are many benefits of quarantine
and quarantine period as well that many people overlook. First of all, it
prevents the transmission of contagious diseases (for example – Covid-19,
HIV etc). Then, it saves many lives as the spread of the contagious disease
is prevented. I also have a very special experience in this quarantine
period. I also got to know about many skills like using the communication
apps. This quarantine period also taught not only me but also to everyone
how to do things themselves. This period also gives us time to spend and
interact with our family. When we look at the time before this pandemic ,
at that time who would have got time to spend and interact with their
families. But now we have the time to spend moments of our lives with our
family. So, quarantine really is the key which can help us to defeat this
dreaded disease. I would like to end my words with the following lines:
“Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves which come when
life seems most challenging.”

EXPERIENCE OF LOCKDOWN

In this lockdown the current scenario which is happening around the world
is very disaster. But I was so bored because staying at home for 24 hours is
very boring. I missed my teachers, friends, their gossiping and activities but
on the other hand it is good to keep lockdown in the country because if
lockdown would not be there than the disaster of positive patients of
COVID–19 would increase up to limit which we doesn’t want. The condition
of the world is traumatic because of this pandemic. These all corona
warriors are risking their life in this war. We all applause them for their
work which they are doing day and night and also keeping us safe from the
pandemic. When my father said that it is not good to do nothing like a dull
and you should do new things which makes you busy. Then I started doing
art and craft, making painting, reading moral books and I also saw the
motivation English speech of famous peoples which was too good. I also
cooked Maggie, tea and sandwich. When I cooked sandwich first time it was
not too good. But later on my mother taught me well to cook delicious
sandwiches. After 2-3 weeks our online classes were started. I was too glad
to see my new teachers and my friends. I was too jolly to attend the online
classes. I enjoyed with my family. I sometimes played carom and chess with
my family and I played many more indoor games with my cousins which
was too pleasant moment. I hope that I meet my friends and teachers soon
in school after the end of the pandemic. Hopes it ends up sooner.

THE LOCKDOWN

The spread of Corona Virus forced our entire country to go into a
lockdown period of more than two months. We were all forced to stay
indoors and I felt like some helpless person put into jail without even
committing any crime.

I was sad and worried but my mom said that we have to find the good in
the bad because every cloud has a silver lining, so here is what I learnt.

In the lockdown period, I enjoyed playing games like chess, carom, cards,
Uno, business and crossword.

I enjoyed sipping the morning tea with my parents in the cool breeze and
also how to make it.

I enjoyed bathing in the rain with my brother and sister and also mopping
the floor after. I now know how to operate the washing machine and dry
clothes on the clothesline.

I have learnt to chop a few vegetables, knead dough and help mom to
make new dishes and also that homemade pizza tastes better than
Dominos or Pizza Hut.

I have missed my school and friends and cycling in the neighborhood but
learnt that my tab can easily bring my class and teachers to my home. I
have fed peanuts to a few squirrels and seen a bird feeding her babies in
my garden.

I have seen news showing people suffering from hunger and disease but
also many more going out of the way to help the needy. I have learnt that
real superheroes are not Superman and Spiderman but the doctors,
nurses, policemen and cleaning people, who are risking their own lives to
keep us healthy and safe.

The Lockdown has made me a little smarter and wiser, I think.

MY EXPERIENCE DURING LOCKDOWN

My quarantine experience was good because I spent a very long time with
my family. I enjoyed a lot by playing Cards, Carrom, Badminton, Box
Cricket, Ludo with my family. We all talked together and watched t.v.
together. My mom taught me Sanskrit and I practised Maths, Hindi and
English. When online classes started, I was very excited because it was my
first experience with online classes. I also enjoyed new dishes prepared by
my mom. I celebrated my first quarantine b’day. Overall, I had a fun filled
experience with my family.

DIARY ENTRY ON MY EXPERIENCE

DURING QUARANTINE PERIOD

Saturday, 6 June 2020
10:30 a.m.

Dear Diary
This has been one of the most unusual period of my life due to the
outbreak of the world wide pandemic that is terrorizing the world called
corona virus. Well, this has led to the completion of many of my dreams.
First of all, l always wanted to have online classes which nowadays I am
appearing for. Secondly, I have developed some very positive drawing
habits and other morning habits. Surprisingly, l have been more busy in
this quarantine period than l used to be during the regular days. This has
taught me patients and many other life lessons. I just hope that God
settles everything well and everyone start with their basic life.
Now, it is getting late and I have some urgent work in hand so I must stop
here.
Good day!

CORONA PANDEMIC

Our Earth is surviving from the outbreak of a virus known as CORONA
VIRUS. Due this, we all have locked down ourselves, and spend this time
at our homes. Our scientists and doctors are working diligently and are
very determined in getting the solution of this virus, policemen are not
letting people roam on the streets and lanes and also the teachers did not
stop imparting education. I would also like to appreciate each one of us
who is participating in the chess battle with CORONA VIRUS and
HUMANS. I would also like to salute to all the warriors of this battle, even
our newspaper boy who risked his life and brought the current news at
the door.

“THEY STAY AT WORK FOR YOU STAY AT HOME FOR THEM”

During this pandemic, we must have found a new talent within us such as
drawing, art work, cooking, etc. To me it was all different. Actually, I
taught few people to shine and smile like my brother, he did not smile
much so I made him laugh. During this time, we even made relationships
stronger than before. I also started reading the novels of Enid Blyton, J.K
Rowling, and Ruskin Bond and many more. Everyone has got a new skill
in them so we should explore it even more. My mom now enthusiastically
makes new dishes, and showed her interest in drawing .My dad who was
always short-tempered, got quiet changed and has now learner to smiling.
I want every one of us to take a pledge of having positive thinking,
supporting the warriors by following their instructions , and spending the
time with the family. We all know that there is very less pollution in our
environment, and we can now feel fresh air, see clean water in rivers.
Lastly I would say if you will love nature, it love u back. So, take care of the
environment and keep it clean.

ME DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The COVID 19, gave an amazing twist and sudden break to the human’s
life. This large and unstoppable pandemic is doing great destruction to
the life, property and economy of the whole world. This epidemic has
taught us different new words such as quarantine, lockdown and home
quarantine etc. This large epidemic also gave a relax in my life. As I am a
student, I have to do fewer studies as compared to my regular school
days. I learned many things during this lockdown such as to solve a Rubik
cube, to prepare some easy food items such as biscuit cake, to make rice,
and mango, chocolate shake, I also learned to make sketching with oil
pastels etc. The COVID 19 has affected my life in many different ways like
my father remains most of the time in the office and during the lockdown,
he is living most of the time at home and gives a lot of time to us, my
mother is also preparing plenty of delicious food items such as chocolate
cakes, pizza, dosa, jalebi, and ice cream of mango and chocolate etc., I
played different indoor games with my families such as court piece,
rummy, Uno cards and monopoly. I spent most of my time with my family
in this COVID 19 outbreak. At the last, I want to tell you that stay home to
stay safe, and protect yourself from this worst pandemic and pray to the
god that ‘please, oh my dearest god! Please free this whole world from

A PANDEMIC FROM CHINA

It was the time when my exams were over. Next day I and my family
went to our village. Then on 23 March, we came back to home and I
heard some voices of drums, etc. I asked my father and he said that our
prime minister did this in respect to the corona warriors. next day we
came to know that the lockdown is started due to corona pandemic.
From that day I would not play outside, my parents stopped going to the
office. I asked my parents that what is this corona? they said that it is a
pandemic from china. When we come in contact with a corona positive,
we also become infected. That’s why we should wear a mask. It has
some symptoms like fever, headache, cough, a problem in breathing etc.
now the cases are so many that if I see from the roof, I hardly see
anyone. When I read the newspaper, I found the news of corona
pandemic. When my father goes outside due to some reason, he uses a
mask and when he comes, he washes his hands without touching
anything. We were also bored sitting idle at home. Then we saw
Ramayana, many interesting films .my mother made some special
dishes, I and my brother use to play at home, my family sits together
and plays Ludo. After some time, my online classes were started, now
my maximum time goes into studies. we have to be safe from the attack
of the corona. by wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing, using
sanitizers we can fight with corona. This was a new experience of my
life. I will remember this by “corona time.”

HOW I SPENT MY TIME DURING

LOCKDOWN

Due to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic throughout the
world, the life of every individual has changed. The Indian government
banned all services in April and May looking at the life-threatening scare
of COVID -19 throughout the country. All the sectors were closed down
and only the emergency services were open. And as a result, our schools
and colleges were also put to a close. All the students along with their
family members were confined to house arrest. The markets, theatres,
parks, gardens etc. were all shut due to the Corona scare. Everybody
seemed anxious and fearful but I was feeling very happy. It was a vacation
for us. After long days of school, I was looking forward to a break and we
got it. Ignoring the fear that everyone was facing I got involved in my fun
activities at home. This included gardening, dancing, drawing, craft
making, small cooking jobs and yes television watching. I also watched
art and craft videos and made many creative objects out of waste
material. I also got the opportunity to spend time with my dog and care
for him. This was the best time for me as my whole family was with me
and we enjoyed together in all big and small activities like playing
carrom, cards, chess, gardening, cooking, watching movies, online
chatting with my friends and family etc. Thus it was great fun at home.

The Corona scare is not over and to safeguard the academic curriculum of
the students the schools and colleges have started online classes since
April. It was going a bit difficult for me in the early days of classes as we
were new to the educational interface and were also facing internet
availability problems. But now our classes are being held smoothly. I now
have started my studies at home together with the help of our respected
teachers.

In these crucial times, I sincerely feel that our doctors, police, army
soldiers, political leaders and teachers are doing commendable services
for our country. I am proud to be a citizen of this country and hope that
we shall always remain invincible, overcome all the problems coming our
way and be the winners.

CORONA VIRUS

All the things were going well, we were going to school, we used to travel to new
places, but that night, that horrifying news changed our lives…

BREAKING NEWS: A NEW VIRUS HAS BEEN DETECTED BY THE DOCTORS IN CHINA.
IT IS NAMED AS ‘CORONA VIRUS’.

“Dad, is this virus going to spread in India too?” asked 10-year-old Anya, thoughtfully.
Her father said, “Don’t know beta, as there is still no case of this disease in India, so we
can’t say anything.”

BREAKING NEWS: DEATH OF A 76-YEAR-OLD CORONA POSITIVE MAN. OTHER
FAMILY MEMBERS ARE BEING TESTED.

“Oh no! That is bad news. I think everybody in our colony will stop sending their
children outside.” said mom, scared. The next day was her last exam. She did her best
to get good marks to score high. Just after her exam, when she was packing her bag,
there was an announcement that this will be the last day at school because their
school will be closed because of the Corona disease.

ONE MONTH LATER

“Mom, Dad! I got the highest marks in my exams in my whole class!” cried Anya when
she saw her result on her school website. “Wow, Congratulations Anya! I will make
your favourite ice cream for you. Dad said, “Today you have scored the highest marks
in your class, so we will celebrate by doing a small party.”

AFTER TWO WEEKS

“Mom, we are going to have online classes from 7 April. This is going to be a very new
experience for me,” said Anya, excited. I am going to set my table and bring some
empty rough notebooks.” Suddenly, dad cried, “Oh no! when are these cases going to
stop increasing? Mr Prime Minister has announced a complete lockdown.

NOW THE CORONA WAS NOT CALLED THE CORONA DISEASE, IT WAS CALLED THE
CORONA PANDEMIC. SCIENTISTS WERE TRYING THEIR BEST TO MAKE THE
VACCINES.

The next day, Anya’s parents left for work and Anya went to study online for the first
time. Then everything started to be normal. Anya was assigned activities from school
and she learnt new things too.

MY LIFE IN QURANTINE PERIOD

Coronavirus’s symptoms were first seen in China, Wuhan. Someone at
the now world-famous Huanan seafood market in Wuhan was infected
with a virus from an animal. This virus is also known as COVID – 19.
This deadly virus has had a great effect on the health of the people and
the economy of the whole world. Many people died and many are still
suffering from this virus. As for India, many steps were taken by the
government to stop it from spreading. They firstly initiated ‘The Janta
Curfew’ for a day and then they started ‘The Lockdown’ for 3 weeks.
This Lockdown period came upon the people with a lot of advantages
as well as disadvantages.
Some of the advantages were that people were able to spend a lot of
time with their families as compared to earlier. The children learnt to
draw, to paint, to cook, etc. and as for the environment the pollution
decreased and the ozone layer is recovering very quickly. The clear
skies and clearer air have turned out to be of advantageous for all in
this Quarantine Period.
The only disadvantages were that most of the people weren’t able to go
to work and the poor people weren’t able to get enough food.

QUARANTINE TIME

This all started when my last year’s exam was cancelled due to the
coronavirus pandemic and I came to know that my school will remain
closed and the studies will continue on Zoom and later on Microsoft
teams. I usually wake up at 7:15 a.m. I use to do first thing first then
some meditation and to watch Ramayan and Byomkesh Bakshi earlier.
But now, I have to attend my online classes. After online class, I do some
workout and exercises for an hour. Then do some homework of classes.

After that, I play football with my sister. I have my television time and
lunch time. One important thing to mention here is, hourly handwash for
20 seconds and a home made healthy food was ensured by my parents.
And there comes my favourite time, that is to make some paper crafts
such as gun or cardboard castle for one and a half hour. My mother
endured my novel reading and some kind of presentation every day. We
all would sit in the balcony and enjoy seeing outside, listening to songs
and have dinner at 9:00. Finally, going to sleep by maximum 10:20 p.m. I
miss my grandparents in this summer vacations as well as my friends and
cousins. When the lockdown will be over I will feel like a fish in the deep

LOCKDOWN

The actual meaning of freedom is now known to us after being in
lockdown for so many days. During this I have experienced many things.
I have learnt so many important day to day work which earlier my
parents used to do for me like- washing my clothes at my own, cleaning
my study table, folding and ironing my clothes, evening and morning
prayers before god at our home temple etc. In this phase, I also tried to
give some time to our nature too . In other sense, I tried to take care of
street dogs by giving them food, nurturing the plants and helping some
needy ones as “help in need is a help indeed”.
This was a life time learning experience which has taught us so many
things. We made ourselves more friendly to online classes and learning
methodology. We also came to know that how can we improve our
knowledge with the help of gadgets and tools. I also played games with
my parents and grandparents that I was not aware of till now like
chaupad , stapoo etc.
From a long time we had not spent time with our family members,
everybody was busy with their peace of work to do but now we are
spending quality time with our family. Before this lockdown, our earth
had become like dustbin due to pollution but now it has become like a
beautiful flower. But some people are suffering a lot in this lockdown.
And because of this I tried to help them in some or the other way. The
doctors, the police , the army officers etc are giving us a new life by
saving our lives. It is well said that every challenge brings ocean of
opportunities and learning to us. So does the COVID-19 pandemic has
brought to the mankind.

2020: YEAR OF WIZARDS AND
MUGGLES

Who knew the environment J.K Rowling created would be connected to
2020 reality.
Corona virus originated from the forbidden forest of Wuhan and turned
the world into muggles. To break this spell, the world converted their
homes into the Dursley’s staircase cupboard. Meanwhile the witches and
wizards all over the world looked through the pensieve to find how Covid
Voldermort came to power. Dr. Anthony Fauci is guiding us like Albus
Dumbledore to solve the corona riddle. In this difficult time, corona
warriors have formed Dumbledore’s army. This army is using weapons
like PPE kits, gloves, sanitizers instead of wands, brooms and magic
potions. There are some selfish people like Dolores Umbridge who don’t
care about others and do things they like just for fun. As the world battles
with COVID Voldermort, it also has to overcome problems like locust
attacks, cyclones, earthquakes, economy recession, depression, reverse
migration etc. in the wizarding war. Just like Harry Potter , Hermione
Granger and Ron Weasley who destroyed the horcruxes, we all together
can destroy the Covid Voldermort to break the spell. Just like Harry
survived with only a lightning shaped scar on his forehead as a memento
of the attack, we hope that the world survives with the mask as the new
normal.

BEING POSITIVE IN A NEGATIVE

SITUATION

From past few months, human life has changed drastically, where… we all were
flying, freely in the sky but now our life has come to a halt. We are facing an
unexpected outbreak of corona and people are scared of this virus known as Covid-
19. Even our own country India is a victim of this pandemic. It has affected every
individual’s economic, mental and social wellbeing. Our government left no stone
unturned and took every possible action to prevent us from this pandemic and we
too supported our government whole heartedly in the mission.
We humans are worried about the future but the present situation is more critical.
What we can do in this adverse phase is to keep our mind and thoughts positive
because only positive frame of mind and thoughts act as medicine in such a situation.
A wise man once rightly said, ‘Time heals every wound.’ So, if we all will remain
positive and maintain social distancing, we will definitely win the battle against
Covid-19.
The Prime Minister of our country Shri Narendra Modi ji keeps encouraging the
countrymen by addressing them from time to time in this tough phase of pandemic.
Keeping his thoughts in mind, if we all follow a healthy regime in our life by including
some activities like yoga, meditation, jogging to name a few, then we will definitely
be able to come out of this situation victoriously.
In this lock down, I got the opportunity to understand and compare the traditional
thoughts and beliefs of our ancestors with modern thoughts and beliefs of today.
Putting this comparison to the test of life, I found that the thinking of our ancestors
was more logical and justified. For example, not collecting more items than required,
saving for future from the earning, taking care of cleanliness, giving importance to
indigenous items, firm belief in joint family, farming and economy, organized
routines, pure vegetarian food, making toilets outside the houses, etc. If we all follow
this belief system in the present situation, then our country will soon be corona free.
Also, no such epidemic will dominate us in the future. We will succeed in
empowering our country all the way. Our economy will also be empowered by
Modiji's ‘Principle of Self-Reliance’.
This small virus has changed our lives in many ways be it following the social
distancing or using the sanitizer made at home. May 31, 2020 was the last phase of
this lock-down, may be everything will not be as it was in the past. But during this
lockdown phase, we watched some old serials, sports and religious programmes, had
fun with family, relished variety of dishes, played ludo and cards. Moreover, self-
contemplated too. This is definitely a unique, once in a lifetime experience for me
and a bundle unforgettable memories.

POSITIVE ASPECTS OF CORONA VIRUS

As we all know , that THE NATIONWIDE LOCKDOWN due to COVID 19
has bought 1.3 million people to a stop . Thousands and lakhs of homeless
people, starvation , economic loss, mental breakdown , emotional
breakdown and many negative impacts can be seen all around . All these
aspects are making people weak .

So , today let me try to show the brighter side of the lockdown which
many fail to see or have not paid much attention to . The first important
change is –

THE EARTH IS HEALING

Skies are clear , river water seems clearer , better air quality , liberated
wildlife . All these are the positive impact of this lockdown on the
environment .

Apart from the nature and environment , lockdown and the pandemic has
transformed people , that’s all of us …We are now following laws strictly .
We have learnt to live a minimalistic life , putting less burden on nature
and climate .

The positive effects of lockdown on students’ life can also be seen . Like
extra time for a variety of productive and constructive work like reading ,
cooking,no pressure of daily routine , we can practise self paced learning .
Extra attention to the weaker areas can also be given.

And the most important of all , as everyone is at home , we are enjoying
with our family and spending quality time with our near and dear ones!

Last but not the least , with online classes , our teachers are helping us to
improve our weak areas . They are working hard for us , to safeguard our
future . I would like to thanks all my teachers for supporting us at this
time .I know , we are suffering . But we are not alone . The CORONA VIRUS
pandemic has halted life and the people across the globe are fighting it.
And surely we shall overcome this situation and rise as a healthy nation.

“It’s better to be safety conscious than unsafe conscious”
As we know, this pandemic virus started from Wuhan, a city in China. Slowly it
broke down all over the world. Social media played an important role to keep
aware and inform people about this virus. Later on, it spread in India also. So, to
minimise its crucial effects, our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi announced lock
down step by step and requested all to stay in our homes.
We were very sad to remain in our houses for such a long time. But it was a nice
experience too. This lockdown has brought a lot of change in our lives as we
enjoy with our family members. I explored many new things, I have learnt
various things in this lockdown. First of all, we were excited to go to school but
could not ho. So our school started online classes and we study through them. It
was very interesting to study onn laptop or mobile. First we studied from Zoom
app and then from Microsoft teams. I explored two apps during my Quarantine
period. I have learnt origami as well. It was interesting to make things from
paper. I also made pencil sketch , did calligraphy, mask making etc. I now can
make a hand wash at home from YouTube. Everyone knows that working
parents can’t give much time to their family and children but because of this
lockdown they could spend time with their children and family members. My
parents also come under this category. My parents played their childhood games
with me and told me their childhood memories, stories and epics. My
grandparents made me playe games like chaupad, pebbles and they are really
interesting games which I have would have never played in my life. It seems that
they have lived their childhood once again. In fact we are having a lot of fun in
this lockdown. Nowadays, all the elders and children are addicted to mobiles but
this lockdown brought a drastic change. Those who lived abroad came to their
home and spent time with their family that was never possible.
“Every dark cloud has a silver lining”
This pandemic brought a lot loss. The economic condition of each and every
country has fallen down. The poverty has also increased. But thing has its pros
and cons, it has profits also. It made the environment clean and pollution free. It
decreased the air pollution upto 70%. It made the rivers water clean. In this
Quarantine period people became spiritual by giving time to yoga and
meditation.
To sum up my essay I would say, government should declare 15 days lockdown
every year as it decreases the pollution level and people would spend time with
their family and children.

because of this pandemic disease named Covid-19, lockdown was
declared and our plans were cancelled. It was really disheartening for me.
But my father gave me an excellent idea and that made our vacation all
the more exciting.

We imagined the bathroom of my room as Meghalaya because in
Meghalaya there are always heavy rains and we visualised the same with
the help of shower there. Our Kitchen was renamed to Chowpati of
Mumbai where I can get a variety of snacks and fast food and that too
free. Our terrace became the beautiful Kashmir because of the cool breeze
and we enjoyed the morning and evening walks there. Our garden gave us
the experience of some natural beauty like Kerala with its green
plantation all around. It was a place for our meditation and relaxation
with yoga during this lockdown time. There is small temple in my house
on 2nd floor, it was called the Vaishno Devi temple of Jammu and
Kashmir, where you had to climb all the stairs to reach to the divine
almighty for praying. Our living room with big LED TV didn’t let us miss
the big movie theatres where other lights were switched off with regular
supply of popcorn from our kitchen “Chowpati” and watching movie with
whole family was all the more fun. Again, my room was no less than the
room of a five-star super deluxe property with my cozy blanket and soft
pillow, made it even more comfortable and relaxing.

I really enjoyed my vacations to the fullest in this new and interesting
way with a lesson for me that we can derive pleasure even from the small
things around us. We just need to open our eyes and see what a beautiful
place God has created for us and even its smallest of creation is worth a
million.

MY LOCKDOWN EXPERIENCE

In the month of March, when my Annual exams were going on, through
TV and newspapers, I got to know that there is new disease named as
COVID-19 spreading all over the world due to a tiny virus. On 15th march
2020, I was preparing for my last exam of Hindi subject and suddenly the
state government suspended all the academic activities in schools. Due to
this, my last exam was cancelled.

After few days, our honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi
requested the people of our nation to restrict social gatherings and
follow one day of “JANTA CURFEW” on Sunday, 22nd March 2020. That
day all roads and streets were empty. There was no noise of vehicles. In
the evening, all my family members gathered in the balcony and clapped
for corona warriors. It was a beautiful experience. People were standing
in their balconies or on terrace. All them were clapping, some of them
were beating the “thali” with steel spoons, and some were blowing the
‘Shankh”. That day my belief got firmed that together we Indians can
overcome this tough time.

After two days of the Janta Curfew, on 24th March 2020 the Indian
government declared the country wide lockdown from 25th March. My
grandfather and father said that they had never seen such restrictions in
their lives. My parents were a bit in panic because we had shortage of
groceries and other house hold items. That time, it seemed like we might
face some problem in getting these necessary items. All the shops were
closed and streets near by my house were blocked using barricades. In
few days, some corona positive patients were found in our Jodhpur city.
We all were in tension and it made me a bit nervous.

Due to corona lockdown, my father’s office was also closed and he
started working from home. It was the first time in my life, I saw my
father at home for such a long period of time. We spent lot of time
together. We played some indoor games and watched TV. It was really a
good time with my family. I live in a joint family of eight members. We all
enjoyed together in this lockdown period. I had lots of chit-chats with
my grandmother and my aunt.

Our school declared online classes for us on apps like Zoom and
Microsoft Teams. It was a new thing for me. I was so excited to attend an
E-Lecture on my mobile phone. All our teachers put their best efforts to
impart us quality education.

During this lockdown period, on 3rd of May 2020 was my birthday. It
was the first time I could not buy a new dress and did not get any gift
from my family members as all the shops were closed. But to surprise
me, my mother made a homemade birthday cake for me. It was really
delicious. I also helped my mother in the baking of my own birthday
cake. It was really a great moment for me.

In this corona period our life has completely changed. There is no visitor
at our home and I also did not go out, not even for a single day. In the
morning, my father brings milk packets and vegetables from the near-by
shops, before using these items we wash all of them nicely. I too help my
mother and grandmother in this washing process. Whenever I touch the
main door to open it when anyone comes from outside, I wash my hands
with soap and sanitizer.

In this way the corona lockdown taught me so many new things.
Somehow, I enjoyed this lockdown period with my family, and learned to
take precautions to fight against corona. I really think this is once in a
lifetime experience for me and I will cherish these moments forever.

MY EXPERIENCE ON LOCKDOWN

It was 22nd march 2020, when our Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modiji
announced the lockdown for 21 days. When we heard this news we gave
mixed reactions. Some of us were sad and some of us were happy.
Afterwards my mother told me that now you are free so I will teach you
house chores. I started learning daily chores of the house like mobbing,
grooming and dusting etc. I enjoyed a lot while learning them. After few
days I was given to understand that my online classes of school will start
from tomorrow. I became curious. Studies online were going on well.
Then, the very next day my cricket coach Mahipal sir, messaged that
nobody will sit free in this lockdown and had send some exercise videos. I
was very happy when my online cricket classes also started. Then I made
a routine to follow daily i.e. to wake up at 6 a.m., do exercise, have
breakfast, then homework and at last honing my cricketing skills. I
watched television after lunch, slept for 2 hours and then attended online
classes of cricket, followed by playing some games on terrace, then bath,
taking dinner and then spent some time with my family members. I
reached my bed at 10 p.m. within failing.

This corona virus has taught us many things which we had forgotten due
to the influence of western culture. It has taught us how to live simple life
without much fancy requirements. It has reminded us many Indian
traditions like doing Namaste, taking off shoes outside house , washing
hands again and again, eat healthy home prepared food , spending time
with family members and many more. The only thing which I miss is
playing with friends so I would pray to God to keep us all safe and take
out this deadly virus from the world. Till then Stay at home, Stay safe and
be happy.

THANK YOU TO CORONA WARRIORS

Friday, 5th June 2020 10:00 P.M.

Dear diary,

l am writing this to make you understand the importance of Corona
Warriors. These Warriors are making themselves unsafe to safe us and
they are also keeping themselves away from their family to make us safe
with our family. As you already know in some places coronavirus is
spreading very fast like anything as people are not following social
distancing and not wearing mask which is not at all good in this time
when coronavirus have taken over everybody. I am also writing this
because today when I reached to my hometown I came to know that
people had increased by many percentage which really scared me and
got my heart stopped for a while but my father said to me that we
should not be scared instead , we should be positive and be happy that
even homeopathic medicines are also working nowdays on patients
infected by covid-19.

TEACHER ALSO A WARRIOR

COVID 19-A small tiny microbe – is stronger than any current nuclear
warhead on earth which threatens to disrupt and destroy global as well
as Indian economy and health. It emerged from China but has now
spread globally. So because of this we were locked down. I was not able
to understand what was happening. Whenever I switch on the TV all I
come across is news of people dying everywhere. I am even scared to
step out to my lawn. People all over the country were stressed. Then
online classes started and then I asked the most dreaded question,
“Ma’am, are we all going to die?” Then I was advised to stop watching
such news channels and better focus on positive things. The teachers put
all their efforts from counselling students to keeping them engaged in all
other activities during the lockdown. They helped us to learn and focus
on to be creative. They supported us in our curricular activities like to
know more about our family, ancestors, and home plantings, to help
people and help us to enhance our abilities. Then I joined online guitar
and yoga classes which made me happy and energetic. Teachers also
have us many different tasks to perform and share are skills. So this
locked down helped us to learn more and more things just because of
you teachers....... Thank you teachers!
So they also helped us in making future generations positive.

ABOUT LOCKDOWN IMPACTS

When nationwide lockdown was imposed in India, its primary requirement
was to curb the eminent of the novel coronavirus. As citizens of India are
abiding the medical need by staying home and practicing social distancing.
The world’s largest coronavirus lockdown is generating a magnificent effect
on the pollution of India. This is why nitrogen dioxide went from 52 per
cubic meter to 15 in the same period. This pandemic has made us realize
that how badly are we treating the nature. In the last month of 2019, air
pollution had hit record high levels, forcing schools to close and flights to be
cancelled. And few months later in 2020, the skies are now clearing up.

This lockdown is also having an impact on tribal communities. As per the
study, COVID-19 has destroyed economies and absence of jobs. These
migrants have been left homeless, jobless and hungry which forces them to
return to their routes. The areas from where they belong have no access to
testing facilities to detect virus. During the lockdown, the tribals are not
being reached by the state programmes and effectively left to fend for
themselves. Assessing the impacts of COVID-19 crisis on societies,
economies and vulnerable groups is fundamental to inform and tailor the
responses of governments and partners to recover from the socio-economic
responses, global suffering will exalate, jeoparalizing lives and livelihood .

While Coronavirus continues to spread across the world, many countries
decided to close schools as part of a social distancing. However, these
closure of schools, have affected the education of more than 1.5 billion
children and youth worldwide due to COVID-19. During this pandemic,
many schools have adopted some form of distance learning, with teachers
providing material through online portals. But there are more than 16 lakh
children who belong to BPL families and have no access to smartphones or
internet leaving their education for the current year in a dilemma.

IMPACT OF LOCKDOWN

The Coronavirus led lockdown has put all of our strength and zeal to a hard test by
interrupting our regular lives recently. It is indeed testing times for all of us.
My name is Radhika Gandhi and I'm a 8th Grade Learner in jodhpur , India. The first
two days were really fun. I could sleep in late, wake up late and did not have to
worry about going to school. But everything changed in the third day. I was sick of
the usual routine.
I missed school and I missed my teachers. I was scared of how I was supposed to
learn even though our last exams were over. My school teachers started giving us
home work, worksheets and audios/videos via online classes. That kept me
engaged.
I am a person who needs to do something different or I get bored really quickly. As
my mum is working so she was not able to give me much time so she asked me to
keep a schedule; so, I did. Most of the times, I forgot what was I supposed to do
according to my schedule! And in many cases, my schedule included more screen
time than hands-on works! That made it harder for me to go to sleep; I would stay
up till 1:00 a.m. in the morning and then sleep.
I learned many things during lockdown, I helped my mother in household chores, I
became a cheff and learned to make new things .I made a cake myself, I also cleaned
my cupboard, other than all these things I made myself engaged in indoor games
with my younger sister .
I thanks God for giving me such a supportive family, they gave me a lot of love and
care specially my elderlies, My Grandmother and Grandfather, they told me about
their life experiences and at night the lovely tales by my grandmother made my
lockdown period lively other than becoming active there is one more thing that I
got due to lockdown is a supporting and carrying family Everyone had a busy busy
lifestyle but lockdown made everyone idle.
I also do my home works which schools are giving via mails and stayed connected
with my school mates. I mostly workout through dance, stretching and I started
practicing meditation. I love to draw comics, I watch a movie with my parents, finish
all my home works. Due to lockdown the environmental changes took place like the
pollution level got decrease , rivers and oceans become more clean and clear, there
were animals roaming here and there all around, the stars were very clear in the
sky, I could listen the chirping of birds clearly in the sky. Last but not least the all
became United during this pandemic and this was the most beautiful scene which I
have ever seen .

POSITIVE IMPACT OF COVID-19

LOCKDOWN ON ENVIRONMENT

The question about COVID-19 pandemic being a godsend for human beings
or not cannot be answered, but it would seem to be one for the
environment. Following the outbreak of the corona virus, many countries
had adopted lockdown procedures that stopped people from moving out,
and for shops and other establishments to close down. We take a look at the
positive impact of the COVID-19 lockdown on the environment.

Before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the air around us had been
assumed to be very toxic to breathe, due to the amount of greenhouse gases
that had been released over the centuries. The Earth has been facing rising
temperatures, which in turn has led to the melting of glaciers and rising of
sea levels. Environmental degradation was happening fast due to the
depletion of resources such as air, water and soil. But after the corona virus
lockdown, there have been slight changes in the environment.

After the lockdown was brought into force in many countries, there was
lesser travelling done by people, whether it is by their own cars, or by trains
and flights. Even industries were closed down and not allowed to function.
This in turn led to the pollution in the air dropping significantly, as there
was a marked decline in the release of toxic gases in the environment.

Since there was no boat usage, whether they be used for fishing or
pleasure, plying on the rivers and waterways, the water has cleared up.
Water bodies became so clear that the fish could be seen and there was
better water flow. No doubt, because of the lesser human footfall even the
oceans are recovering and marine life is thriving.

Again as far as fish is concerned, the lockdown has seen a decline in fishing,
which means that the fish biomass will increase, after over-fishing had
almost depleted it. Apart from that, animals have been spotted moving
about freely where once they would not dare to go. Even sea turtles have
been spotted returning to areas they once avoided, to lay their eggs, all due
to the lack of human interference.
