A panther found a boy named Mowgli in the jungle.
Mowgli would grow up in the jungle with the wolves. 1
Mowgli would have to work hard to be like the
wolves. He would have to learn how to run and
2 hunt like the wolves.
Even though he was not a wolf, the mother wolf
loved Mowgli. Mowgli loved the mother wolf, too. 3
A scary tiger is looking for Mowgli. The panther
4 would take Mowgli to a village where people live.
Mowgli wants to stay in the jungle. 5
He does not want to leave his wolf family.
Mowgli says goodbye to his wolf mother.
The panther and Mowgli both start to walk to
6 the village.
Mowgli runs away from the panther. 7
Mowgli starts walking around the jungle alone.
Mowgli meets different animals in the jungle.
8 He meets a big snake who is not friendly.
Mowgli meets a fun bear. 9
They both love to play around in the jungle.
The bear and Mowgli find fruit in the jungle. A group
10 of monkeys sees them and takes Mowgli away!
The monkeys take Mowgli to their king. 11
The monkey king wants Mowgli to show him
how to be like a person.
The panther and the bear save Mowgli from the
monkeys. The panther tells the bear that Mowgli
12 must leave the jungle.
Mowgli is upset, and he runs away again. The scary
tiger sees Mowgli running around in the jungle. 13
The tiger finds Mowgli.
14 Mowgli and the bear both scare the tiger away.
The panther and the bear both take Mowgli to
the edge of the village. Mowgli sees a girl walking
around the village. 15
Mowgli and the girl both walk into the village
together. The bear and the panther are happy
16 Mowgli is safe.
