YBhg. Dato’ Norhalim Yunus Dato’ Norhalim Bin Yunus, is the Chief Executive
Officer (“CEO”) of Malaysian Technology Development
• CEO, Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (“MTDC”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of
Corporation (MTDC) Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the investment arm of the
Malaysian Government.
He has been the CEO of MTDC since June 2008 and
has extensive experience in the commercialisation of
public sector universities’ research results, early stage
technology ventures, innovation policy development
and fund management. He is one of the pioneers in
the commercialisation of R&D results from public
universities/research institutes in Malaysia and has
played many roles related to the overall development of
the Malaysian technology commercialisation ecosystem;
as a venture capital fund manager, government fund
manager, incubator manager and as industry expert in
various public sector technology commercialisation and
innovation-related committees.
He joined MTDC in 1993 and has had the opportunity
to be deeply involved in the Malaysian innovation
ecosystem development; working with local universities
to commercialize their research results, introducing
various funding schemes to assist entrepreneurs, creation
of the first university-based incubator and various other
innovative initiatives that have been introduced in
Malaysia.
Dato’ Norhalim Bin Yunus graduated in Bachelor of
Science in Life Sciences from Universiti Kebangsaan
Malaysia in 1986.
Currently, he is a Non-Independent Non-Executive
Director of Globetronics Technology Berhad and Bioalpha
Holdings Berhad.

Madam Mariamah Daud Mariamah is among the pioneers of MTDC. She joined
the company in 1993 – one year after MTDC was formed.
• Director of Technology Development In her 28-year tenure with MTDC, she is involved in

communication and corporate services, technology
transfer and commercialisation, nurturing and coaching
of entrepreneurs and businesses as well as promotion
of the adoption of digital solutions and Industry 4.0
solutions to micro, small and medium enterprises, social
entreprises as well as cooperatives.
She is currently the Director of Technology Development
Division (TDD), overseeing the Technology Incubator
Department, Industry 4.0 Department, MTDC Academy
Department, Ecosystem Development Department as
well as Technology Adoption Program Department.
Mariamah studied economics at the Syracuse University,
New York of USA and graduated in 1987. Upon graduation,
she established her own company where she acquired
her valuable entrepreneurial experience.
Her paper qualifications, hands-on experience in
entrepreneurship and staunch believe in the objectives
of MTDC, Mariamah continued to champion the need to
increase technology content of Malaysian SMEs through
technology transfer and commercialisation activities and
adoption of technology solutions. She currently sits one
the Board of one (1) Public Listed Company.

Mohammad Hazani Hj. Hassan Mohammad Hazani currently oversees the management of
various funds at MTDC. The funds include Business Start-up
• Director, Technology Ventures Division Fund, Business Growth Fund and Business Expansion Fund.
Malaysian Technology Development Prior to joining MTDC, he was a Principal of Kumpulan Modal
Perdana Sdn. Bhd (KMP) and was involved in the operations

venture capital fund locally and in the US and China as well
as the local microchip design initiative. He was also in charge
of the business accelerator operation through Plug & Play
Technology Management.
Mohammad Hazani has vast experiences in fund management,
venture capital and technology transfer having been involved
in the industry for the last twenty years both locally and
internationally. He spent three years working for a venture
capital fund in Silicon Valley. Previously he sat on the Malaysian
Venture Capital Association (MVCA) and Technopreneur
Association of Malaysia (TeAM) management committee and
Board of Directors of MTDC’s investee companies.
Before joining KMP in 2001, Mohammad Hazani was an Assistant
General Manager Special Project and Investment at MTDC. Prior
to that he was the Section Head of Engineering at Omron (M)
Sdn Bhd and Assistant Research Officer at SIRIM Berhad.
Mohammad Hazani holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering
from California State University at Sacramento and Diploma
in Technology Management from Singapore Institute of
Engineering Technology. He is also a certified coach.

Mohammad Farish is currently the Director of Corporate Services Mohammad Farish Nizar Othman
of Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (‘MTDC’).
He is a Chartered Accountant who began his career from • Director, Corporate Services Division
1995 to 2003 with Messrs. PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysian Technology Development
Kuala Lumpur and subsequently with Messrs. KPMG Kuala
Lumpur, both in the Assurance and Business Advisory practice, Corporation
covering multiple assignments on various industries.
He then joined MTDC as the Senior Vice President Finance and
Corporate Services, and in 2010 he joined Scomi Engineering
Berhad, a public company listed on the Main Market of Bursa
Malaysia Securities Berhad, as General Manager of Business
Development and Tender Coordination. He then returned to
MTDC in May 2014 as the Director of Advisory and Value Added
Services.
He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) from the
International Islamic University of Malaysia in 1995 and is a
Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He is also a
Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
He currently sits on the Board of one (1) Public Listed Company
and five (5) Technology Based Private Companies.

Dr. Fatimah Mohd Amin Dr. Fatimah Mohd Amin is currently a Project Consultant at the
Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC). She

world class work-live-play-learn environment. Dr Fatimah held
various positions in a long career of 37 years in the Malaysian
Civil Service. Her last position was Senior Research Fellow in
the Economic Planning Unit (EPU), Prime Minister’s Department
where her main task was to serve as the technical resource
person in policy studies related to the manufacturing, science,
technology and innovation, and energy sectors. Dr. Fatimah was
also involved in the formulation of the national development
plans with contributions in the areas of manufacturing
industry development and science, technology and innovation
development.
Dr. Fatimah has been involved in science, technology and
innovation policy and management in different capacities at
the institutional and national levels. She served as the Deputy
Director for Policy and Research Management at the Ministry of
Science, Technology and the Environment from 1993 to 1997
and was assigned to the Ministry of Science, Technology and
Innovation (MOSTI) where she held the position of Director for
Science, Technology and Innovation from 2005 to 2007.
Dr. Fatimah has also been active in promoting technology
commercialization and technopreneurship, in particular, in her
capacity as a trainer for MTDC’s various training programmes
in this field. She is a member of MTDC’s Technical Committee
for the Commercialization of Research and Development Fund
(CRDF) and Technology Acquisition Fund (TAF) and MTDC’s
Research Committee.
Dr. Fatimah graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree
with Honours from University Malaya, Malaysia, a Master of
Science Degree in Nuclear Technology from the University of
Surrey, United Kingdom, and a Ph.D Degree in Public Policy
majoring in Science and Technology Policy from George Mason
University, USA.

decelopment of global policies for the Islamic capital
market, Islamic money market and the Islamic banking
industry.
