CLAMPING TOOLS

IDEAL clamping tools have been synonymous
with high quality and performance for more

developed and manufactured by the Walter
Werninghaus Spannwerkzeuge beginning in the
early´s 1900´s. Heinrich Betz Werkzeugfabrik
purchased the IDEAL line in 1968 and to this day
continues to manufacture these products with the
same attention to quality and performance as the
inventors did more than 90 years ago.

Over the last three decades, Heinrich Betz
Werkzeugfabrik has developed into one of the
leading manufacturers in the German clamping

clamp products. High quality clamps that appeal to
both professional and DIY tool users are produced
by the third generation of this family-run company.

All production processes are completed at the
company´s headquarters in Radevormwald,
Germany. All materials are sourced within
Germany and the EU area which means today, just
like 90 years ago, IDEAL clamp products are Made
in Germany!

force AND a long working reach. These clamps are produced using the same high quality materials as
the Heavy Duty Malleable Cast Iron Clamps: The hexagonal rail is ribbed for maximum holding power
and the heavy duty, cast iron arms are reinforced by strategically located webs for maximum strength.

High quality All Steel Screw Clamps form IDEAL deliver high clamping forces while eliminating the possibility
of a broken clamp arm if used beyond its design limits. The one piece formed rail and upper clamp arm
assembly is made from a high quality, drawn profile and as a result has high clamping capabilities while
eliminating the possibility of a broken clamp arm if used beyond its design limits.
The one piece formed rail and upper clamp arm assembly is designed to flex slightly if the clamp is tightened
beyond its capacity. This elasticity or slight flexing prevents breakage of either clamp arm if the clamp is
tightened beyond its capacity. The lower clamp arm is forged and provides a stable, distortion-free
clamping force.

The All Steel Lever Clamps from IDEAL deliver high clamping forces with an easy, lever operated action.
The one piece formed rail and upper clamp arm assembly is made from a high quality, drawn profile and
as a result has high clamping capabilities while eliminating the possibility of a broken clamp arm if used
beyond its design limits. The one piece rail/upper clamp arm assembly is designed to flex slightly if the

The Hobby Screw Clamps from IDEAL are designed specifically for applications where light to medium
clamping forces are required. The light weight and ease of use make this clamp popular for model making,
furniture assembly, plastic fabrication, etc. The fine spindle thread allows for very gradual adjustment of
clamping pressures. The clamping arms are produced from break resistant die cast Zinc which contributes
to the light weight nature of these clamps.
