I have a wide range skillset, feel that I can turn my hand to design and development tasks equally. I enjoy improving my development skill, continuously trying to attain industry standards. I like to write too, I feel creative when I do get that chance to put pen to paper. Employment is still the primary aim at this time, but that feels closer than ever. To have this and build a good portfolio, whilst ongoing improvement in development languages.
An eye for detail and general professionalism are some of the most valuable things I have learnt on the course. They can be a big a part of the skillset as any language or design skill. Over this though, I now have an aptitude and willingness to discover new technlogies, learning and discovery to keep growing my skillset.

I think the most valuable aspect of the course for me was the realisation of my ability.
I’ve got more con dence in my capabilities to produce work that is of a high standard and without the help of the course, I wouldn’t be able to produce anything close to that.
I’d say a main strength of mine is my design work. Looking back to my rst design and anything I’d produced before the course, my skills have increased immensely.
My aim for the next year is to step rmly into a role that will help me develop my skills and push my abilities to the next level. A focus on improving my technical skills will be at the top of my priority list. For me, the end date of the course isn’t the end of my learning. In an industry that is forever changing, I’m fully aware that my education will have only just begun.

“Having been a chef for ten years I decided that I was fed up of that career and decided that the time was right for me to chase the career I actually wanted from my teens which was to code and be immersed in computer technology.”
The course has been a pleasant surprise as I expected it to be quite mundane and boring with just code etc. It has been a lot more than that. Learning design patterns and rules and much more about development than I even knew existed. I feel Iam strong in the development side of web design and development. I really enjoy coding and building things in HTML, CSS and JS or PHP. I often do a lot of it in my own time now just for pure enjoyment.
My goals are to excel in development and become a valuable member of the Invent Partners team to gain the skills needed to venture out on my own. In the future I hope to be running my own web development and design business somewhere within the country or maybe in another country. I try not to nail down plans to far ahead and bend with life.

up designs which I found really helpful and exciting that it mingled with my old skills.”
