IMPERIAL SUPER SILK
WASH & WEAR an interior/
exterior acrylic based paint
that is washable and has a
sheen finish.

INTENDED USES
M ainly used as a hard wearing finish
on Exterior and Interior masonry.
Also used to a more limited extent on
Wood, Steel and Galvanised Iron over
a suitable primer for these surfaces.
For application to suitably primed
new and old cement plaster walls,
fibre-board, ceiling board, gypsum
plaster, metal, wood, unglazed brick
and hardboard. Covers approximately
9 square metres per litre.

Mixing: Stir thoroughly with a flat paddle
until homogeneous.

IMPERIAL GLOSS
ENAMEL is an oil based
paint with a high gloss
enamel finish.

INTENDED USES


Used as a decorative and protective
finish on interior and exterior mild
steel, galvanised steel, timber and
masonry.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
• Dries to a tough durable finish
with good weather resistance.
• Provides a smooth high
gloss finish.

APPLICATION DETAILS
Mixing: Stir thoroughly with a flat paddle
until homogeneous.
Method: Brush or roller or spray
Thinning: Not normally necessary
for brush and roller but for spraying
application thin approx.
10 parts IMPERIAL EGGSHELL to
1 part MINERAL TURPENTINE.
Cleaning: Mineral Turpentine

& Stoep

IMPERIAL ROOF & STOEP
is an interior/exterior
acrylic based paint that is
easy to apply, rapidly dry
to a coating having good
adhesion, opacity.

INTENDED USES
M ainly used on cement roof tiles and
asbestos cement roof tiles, cladding,
and facia boards. Also for use on
wood floated of lightly steel trowelled
cement stoeps or floors. Their
resistance to weather is good whilst
their resistance to direct abrasion on
stoeps is limited.
Use on suitably cleaned and primed
galvanized iron roofs.

Pinkwood
Primer

IMPERIAL PINK
WOOD PRIMER is an
oleoresinous pink
colored penetrating
paint for interior and
exterior wood.

INTENDED USES


It is designed specifically for use on
interior and exterior new and unpainted
hard and soft wood before applying a
paint topcoat. Also used on wooden chip
board surfaces. Covers approximately 6
square metres per litre
FEATURES & BENEFITS
• Provides excellent adhesion.
• Slow drying - provides excellent
penetration and sealing
properties on wood and provides
a good bond for subsequent coats
of paint.

Thinning: Not recommended
Cleaning: Mineral Turpentine
Substrate: Well prepared wood surfaces

Undercoat

UNIVERSAL UNDERCOAT
is a universal alkyd based
undercoat used as a
sandwich coat to improve
inter-coat adhesion between
a primer and a topcoat.
Also used as a sandwich
coat between an existing
solvent based topcoat and a
water based topcoat.

INTENDED USES
They are used over suitably primed
wood, metal, plastics, galvanizing,
plasters, and concrete on both
exterior and interior surfaces.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
• Provides excellent adhesion.
• It offers a level surface for
a variety of alkyd and emulsion
topcoats.

APPLICATION DETAILS
Mixing: Stir thoroughly with a flat paddle
until homogeneous.
Method: Brush, roller or spray.
Thinning: Not recommended to thin for
brush and roller application. For spray
application thin approximately 10 parts
UNDERCOAT to 1 part Mineral Turpentine
by volume.
Cleaning: Mineral Turpentine
Substrate: Cement plaster, concrete,
fibre-cement, ceiling boards, gypsum
plaster, metal & wood.

IMPERIALRED OXIDE
is a high quality rust
inhibiting metal primer
paint.

INTENDED USES


Designed primarily for dip
application to steelwork. (Door /
window frames).
Also widely used on domestic/
industrial steelwork in mild
environments.
Not suitable for use in highly
corrosive environments.

• Moderately fast drying with good
adhesion and flexibility.
• Low build with good corrosion
resistance in mild environments

Mixing: Stir well initially and
intermittently during use..
Method: Primarily by Dipping but may be
Brushed or Sprayed.
Thinning: Ready for use by Brush.
