File Formats and Applications supported by Seclore Rights Management



This document covers the file formats, applications, and operating environments supported by Seclore agents for

protecting and accessing files on various platforms.


The different Seclore agents are as follows:
1. Seclore Desktop Client: The Seclore agent that supports the maximum functionality, file formats,
applications, and operating environments. It is available for Windows and requires administrative

privileges to install.
2. Seclore Lite for Windows: A light-weight client for Windows that can be installed without administrative
privileges.

3. Seclore Lite for Mac: A light-weight client for Apple Mac that can be installed without administrative
privileges.

4. Seclore Lite for iOS: A free app for accessing protected files on iOS devices.

5. Seclore Lite for Android: A free app for accessing protected files on Android devices.
6. Seclore Lite Online: A secure web-based portal for accessing protected files in a browser.


1. Seclore Desktop Client

a. System Requirements

 Minimum:
o RAM: 2 GB
o Hard Disk space: 100 MB
o Browser: Internet Explorer 8
 Recommended:
o RAM: 4 GB
o Hard Disk space: 500 MB
o Browser: Internet Explorer 11



b. Formats for Advanced Protection
The formats listed in the table below will be enforced with Advanced Protection controls:

o WHO (users, groups)
o WHAT (Read, Edit, Print, Full Control)
o WHEN (date/time)
o WHERE (locations, devices)

d. Email Protector
The Outlook plugin (installed with Seclore Desktop Client) can be used to protect emails and attachments
directly from Microsoft Outlook.

Seclore Data Classification can be used to mark a file with predefined classifications.

 Automatic Data Classification and Classification-based Protection
Users can be automatically prompted or mandated to classify files as soon as they are closed. Files
can also be automatically protected with predefined permissions based on the chosen classification.
