Every year the North American Retail Hardware Association
(NRHA) and Hardware Retailing honor successful retailers
under the age of 35 who demonstrate resourcefulness,
forward thinking, and a drive to excel. This year, Trey
Hamilton, owner and operator of Arab Lumber & Supply,
was one of our Young Retailers. Trey’s work ethic and drive
propelled him to the top tier of LBM dealers in northern
Alabama. At just 27, he has only scratched the surface of
what’s to come for Arab Lumber.

Top Guns 
Another award the NRHA presents
annually is the Top Gun. This
recognition is for business leaders who
are innovating in their communities
and pushing others in the channel to
continue differentiating and elevating
the independent home improvement
industry. This year Charlie Gillman from
Gillman Home Centers was named one
of our four Top Guns. He spent many
years as a homebuilder and transitioned
into home improvement retail in the
late 1980s, building the first Gillman
Home Center himself. The full-service
hardware and lumber dealer has grown
to 12 locations in Indiana and Ohio.

2017, they opened a brand new facility in Los Angeles’s
