Dunn Hardware & Supply, an 11,000-square-foot hardware
store in a small Michigan farming town, knew they needed to
distinguish themselves from the big box retailer located only
17 miles away. They became a Milwaukee Heavy Duty dealer
and put in a 20-foot section of power tools and accessories
while increasing their offerings of other Milwaukee products.
This proved to be a great decision, but the displays and inventory quickly began
to take over the store – it was time to give their red tools room to grow.

By remodeling and dedicating a new 1,300-square-foot room entirely to their
Milwaukee inventory, they were able to utilize their existing floor more efficiently

while making their store a go-to location for Milwaukee tools.

The response to this new room, appropriately named “Destination
Milwaukee”, has been nothing short of successful. Dunn Hardware
& Supply has seen increased traffic from areas previously rarely
served, and on the opening day of Destination Milwaukee the store
experienced its highest daily sales total in over 14 years. New
customers from all over the area come specifically to check out the
impressive selection of Milwaukee tools, and the traffic and sales
show no signs of slowing.
