Warm-Up: One Lap Around The Gym and Stretches for Arms and Legs

Steal the Cheese

Rules:

• Divide everyone up into teams and assign each team member
a number.

• Place the “cheese” in the center of the court.
• The teacher will call out a number and the students with that

number must run and pick the cheese up. The person who
gets the cheese must hop back across his/her team’s goal line
without being tagged.
• The person whose number was called who did not steal the
cheese must try to tag the other player before they cross their
goal line by hopping on only one leg!

Goal: To gain the most points by stealing the “cheese” and

crossing their team’s goal line.

Equipment: A bean bag and full court.

Zombies

Rules:

The instructor will choose three people that
are “it”. Those three people are considered
zombies and must try to tag everyone else.
If you are tagged by a zombie then you
become one as well.

If the instructor calls out:
Leg! the zombies have to hop on only one leg
Arm! the zombies must put one arm behind
their back
Eye! the zombies must close their eyes

KNEE-Ball

Rules:

• Everyone will be divided into two teams, one
team will be on offense and the other team
will be on defense

• The offensive team will have to hit the ball
however they like and get to the bases on ALL
FOURS, or KNEES, (crawling, bear crawls,
anything but walking or running on your feet)

• The defensive team have to try to get the
player out while also on their knees. You can
throw the ball or tag the player.

Just like regular kickball but on your knees.

Signs

Rules:

• Everyone forms a circle and whoever the
instructor chooses to be “it” will be in the
center.

• Each player will choose a sign that will
represent them.

• You try to discretely “throw” someone’s
sign to them so that it will be their turn,
without getting caught by whoever is “it”.

• If you get caught catching or throwing a
sign you are now it.

Equipment: Half court

Ninja

Rules:

• Players form a circle and try to get others out
by hitting their hands.

• On your turn, you can only move once, when
trying to hit another person’s hand with your
hand, or like taking a step in any direction

• When a player is trying to hit your hand, you
are allowed one motion to dodge the strike but
you have to stay in that same position once you
move.

• If a player hits your hand, you are “out” and
you must leave the circle. The last person
remaining wins.

Red Light, Green Light

Rules:

• The instructor will call out either red
light, green light, yellow light.

• Green light is a dance move
• Yellow light is bear crawl.
• Red light is freeze.

Objective:

To be the first to reach the goal

Person, Person, Character

Rules:

• Everyone will sit in a large circle. Whoever is it
will be the “person” and will walk around the
circle until they choose a “character”.

• Once chosen, the person must yell out a
character and the other player must act out
the character while trying to catch the other.

• To prevent from being the “person” again, they
must make it back to the empty pot before
getting tagged, causing the character to now
be it.

Animal Tag

Rules:

• Mark four different areas as “cages” and decide on one
person to be it, the “zookeeper”.

the mischievous player whose role it is to free the others
from the cages.

• Each group chooses an animal and a movement for the
game.

• To begin, the animals are set free to move around, but if
tagged must return to their respective cage.

• While the zookeeper is trying to lock up all the animals,
the monkey is letting everyone loose!

• If the monkey is caught, the game is over

Equipment:

Four hula hoops.

Spud

Rules:

• The instructor will assign everyone a number.
• Someone standing in the center of the group

will throw the ball into the air and call out a
number,
• Whosever number is called must catch the ball
and yell out “SPUD”
• Everyone must freeze where they are. The
person with the ball may take three large steps
and throws the ball, trying to hit someone
• You may try to dodge the ball but you cannot
move your feet! If you’re hit, you’re out.

Equipment: a Soft rubber ball

Basket-Ball

Rules:

• Everyone will be divided into two teams and on
opposite baselines.

• The captain of each team will choose a “guard”
to protect the basket and the others will all be
assigned numbers.

• When the players number is called out they must
run and try to shot the bail in the opposite
team’s basket, located in the middle of the court.

• The guard must try and block all shots, if a ball
makes it in the opposing team gets a point.

Equipment: several small balls, foam noodles

and two baskets

Team Memory

Rules:

• Everyone will be divided into four teams with
designated colors.

• Place the same amount of 4 different colored
bean bags on the floor and cover them with
frisbees or cones.

• The first player from each team runs to a
frisbee and looks under it, if it’s the beanbag of
his teams color then he brings it back.

• Next person in line goes until a team has found
all their beanbags.

• The goal is to be the first team to bring back all
their beanbags

Opposite Limbo

Rules :

The children take turns going over the stick
without touching the stick

Equipment:

Limbo bar.
