Editor’s Notes

Alhamdulillah. Thanks to God. I manage to
end my studies in Universiti Tenaga Nasional
(UNITEN) Putrajaya. I really hope my 3 years
of hardship could prepare me for my career
life. When I was in UNITEN, looking through
notes and walking to the library, I always
have a thoughts on “What will happen to
my life after my studies end?”. This cloud of
thoughs always got me wondering whether
I will be a good graduate with a nice person-
ality or I will be frightened on choosing the
next chapter of my life. Once again, thanks
to god for giving me strength to the point I
take those thoughts as a challenges for me
to be better on preparing my self for future
career life. Finally, here I am. Ready to work,
gaining experience, sharing and brainstorm-
ing ideas that could give a ‘wow-factor’.

This portfolio is for the purpose of job
application. I have read many post sharing
on LinkedIn that recommends a graphic
and multimedia fresh graduate to produce a
portfolio for easy job application and to raise
one’s level on being a choice as a top candi-
date to be considered for further interview.
To conclude, I hope this portfolio
would be an ‘eye-opening’ moment to
whoever that reads it. Thank you to all

Hydroelectric can be categorized as an environmental
friendly energy source as its operation does not pollute
the environment. However, it creates a dilemma in
managing the natural resources due to formation of
inundated area for this power generation.

As an organization which concerns on environmental
preservation, TNB through TNB Research Sdn. Bhd.
(TNBR) developed a Sustainable Development Program
for Hulu Terengganu Hydroelectric Project (HTHEP)
since earlier construction phase in 2010.

Rehabilitation of trees during the development of
wildlife corridor, we have conduct a rewilding program
at Zon A and Zon B which has total of 25 hectares, we
have planted

Natural resources and biodiversity of this country are
jointly owned by us hence it is our responsibility to
preserve the environment together for future
generation.

At Sg Sireh, Hulu Terengganu with rich biodiversities, various of
aquatic life, such as Tengas has been discovered with an amazing
amount of population

This initiative has proven that fish population at Sungai Sireh can be
enhanced and maintained.

During the development of Hulu Terengganu Hydroelectric
Power Plant, impoundment has changed the wildlife
community, population, home range and movement pattern.

Tenaga Nasional Berhad has come out with various
initiatives to overcome this problem such as :

• Wildlife Monitoring
• Artificial Salt Lick Enhancement

Outcome of Development:
• Large and medium size wildlife species easily adapting to the
change of habitat landscape
• Elephant herd size increase in number (>100) in Puah
Hydroelectric Station
This iniatives has increase the wildlife biodiversity.

WILDLIFE CORRIDOR

• Wildlife corridor is linking one
reserve (north east patch) to another
reserves (forest patch at the south)
by identifying and establish a
conflict-free wildlife pathways

• Bottle neck of wildlife corridor
(<1.2km) created in
between Puah Lake and Kenyir
Lake.

At Sg Tembat, Tenaga Nasional Berhad has
developed a community-based fishery resources
management system, called TAGAL

• TAGAL Sungai Tembat that was adopted
from Sabah’s TAGAL, is defined as
“prohibition” or to be specific, “no
fishing”
