concreteboundarywalls.Ceramicisusedbecauseofitshighwear,
heatpressureandchemicalattackresistance,extremehardness,

excellentelectricalinsulationandrelativelylightweight.Inthebuildingthese
aregivenintwocontrastinglightcolors.





TheprojectwastodesignaresidenceinadevelopingcityofErnakulam.
Theresidencealsocontainsanarchitect’sstudiodependingonthesitepotential...
ThemainconceptconsideredfortheprojectwastheTropicalModernism
inourcountry.Thiscangivemorenaturefriendlyatmosphereinsidethebuilding,
whenprovidedmoretraditionalelementsofthestate.Theprojectalsoconsiders
slopingtiledroof,courtyards,largeverandahandopenings.

areloadbearinginthefrontfacade.Windowsaregivenin
eithersidesforenhancingcrossventilation.Thevoidsinplan
