F. Tujuan Pembelajaran :
Melalui pembelajaran problem based learning, diskusi, tanya jawab,
penugasan, presentasi dan analisis teks dengan menggunakan teknik
membaca visual literacy peserta didik mampu membedakan fungsi sosial,
struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan, serta menangkap makna secara
kontekstual dari teks pembahasan ilmiah (discussion) lisan dan tulis dengan
memberi dan meminta informasi terkait pembahasan isu kontrovesial dan aktual
dari beberapa (minimal dua) sudut pandang. Sehingga dapat menyusun
pembahasan ilmiah (discussion) lisan dan tulis, terkait isu kontroversial dan
aktual, dengan memperhatikan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan,
secara benar dan sesuai konteks

mengklasifikasikan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan dari teks
pembahasan ilmiah (discussion) lisan dan tulis dengan memberi dan meminta informasi terkait
pembahasan isu kontrovesial dan aktual dari beberapa (minimal dua) sudut pandang. Setelah itu
anda harus dapat menemukan gambaran umum dan informasi rinci yang akan
dikaitkan pada fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan dari teks
pembahasan ilmiah (discussion) lisan dan tulis dengan memberi dan meminta informasi terkait
pembahasan isu kontrovesial dan aktual dari beberapa (minimal dua) sudut pandang yang dibaca.
Pros and Cons on Video Games
Nowadays, the video game industries are developing rapidly. They have become
multi-billion dollar industries. Video games have become an important part not
only of children’s lives but also of adults’. Nevertheless, there there are some
arguments whether video games have a good or a bad influence on children.
People who believe in the good influence of video games say that video games kill
children’s boredom and refresh their minds after atiring school day. These games
encourage children to be more creative because the games challenge children to
win. The games sharpen their brains.

On the other hand, video games discourage children from studying. They find it
hard to concentrate on their studies because the games they play are on their
minds during scholl. Some children even skip their extracurricular activities to
play games.
In addition, video games too often expose children to violance. Two years ago, a
student in the U. S. A shot his teacher and some of his friends. Newspaper said that
the boy was deeply influenced by violence in video games he used to play.
It is obvious that video games have many more disadvantages than advantages. So,
parents should be careful in selecting appropriate games for their children.

Facebook Title
Most people have an account in facebook. It’s a communication tool to
socialize with other people. However, facebook has advantages and
disadvantages.
Facebook allows the user to search for new and old friends,
It makes easier to join groups having similar likes and dislikes. We can
also share our feeling, invite someone, or give information to our
friends.
On the other hand, facebook has some disadvantages.
Some users use facebook to do criminal by any ways. Some cases such
as trafficking, deception, and prostitution happens because
acquaintances in facebook.
Desptite the above mentioned advantages and disadvantages of
facebook, there are many people who still joint facebook every day. I
think it’s okay but I hope they use facebook in a proper way.

Television for Children :Pro and Contra
Television has certainly changed our lives. Today, most people watching TV to going to the
cinema. Without it, nobody would have paid much attention to national or international-historical,
political, sports, sport, etc.-events. Even, television proved that pictures of suffering can move a
nation to pity. Besides, many things can be learnt from TV.
Are there any disadvantages of TV? Many parents admitted that they found difficulties to stop their
children’s bad habit, for example, they spend their leisure time for watching TV more than reading.

Children become very lazy and irresponsible for their main tasks. This is of course denied by TV
producers of people whose work is related to TV. They are very sure that there are a lot of benefits
of TV for viewers, especially children or students.
On the other hand, they honestly admit that some TV programs can endanger children’s mental.
They regret because parents sometimes don’t have much time to watch TV together with their
children. They suggest parents to have more discussion with their children on any programs they
have seen.
