OBJECTIVE OF THE TRAINING
Teaching is a very dynamic field with regular innovations in pedagogy and technology,
and this renders professional development an ongoing, life-long process. Kendriya Vidyalaya
Sangathan’s Online Teacher Training Programme provides rigorous personal and professional
training to teachers in the most effective way possible, with a user-friendly platform where they
can access the training materials at their convenience. Teachers get equipped with sources of
information, guidance and continuing education, striving towards achieving excellence in teach-
ing. It is a journey through new avenues of self-discovery and self-improvement, as we are con-
nect with the leading minds of the educational sphere - after all, the best teachers are those
who develop continuously with holistic learning!
The core objective of the training was to create a unique program for our teachers
where the goal would be -
Deep focus on basic conceptual understanding
Exploratory activities which could be easily integrated with the curriculum
Contextual relevance (teachers/children can relate to the activities)
Making classrooms engaging and Learning Joyous
Apply Information Communication Technology (ICT) in their classrooms in the present
scenario of COVID-19 for better student learning
To equip the teachers with the latest content or subject matter as per the prescribed
curriculum
The Online training progarmme opened with a formal online Inaugural session at 10.00
am. The In-service course was inaugurated by the gracious guest Hon’ble Sh.Sumant Kumar
Chopdar, Deputy Commissioner, KVS Regional office, Bhubaneswar by lighting the lamp. It was
more cordial being accompanied by Sh. A. Jyothi Kumar, Assistant Commissioner, KVS Regional
Office Bhubaneswar and all the course directors of 06 different Venues of KVS Bhubaneswar
region.
The Inaugural session conducted at a common platform through G-MEET where all the partici-
pants & Resource persons from 06 different venues joined the programme from all across the
state of Odisha.
The programme geared up with the inaugural session of Sh. S.K.Chopdar, Deputy Commission-
er, Bhubaneswar with his motivational talk where he emphasized on the importance of this
type of training programme under the light of COVID-19 guidelines and boosted all the partici-
pants for wholehearted participation.
The programme then shifted to individual venue where each venue executed the action plan at
their level.
To lead and coordinate all the programme successfully 03 Resource Persons and 02 PGT-
Comp.Sc were also deputed for the training progarmme through Online mode in all the six ven-
ues.
The 12-Days training programme continued between 9:30 am to 4.30 pm with 10 minutes
break between each session and a 01-hour lunch break after completion of 2nd session.
On each day it was planned for 05 Sessions of 01 hour each, out of which 04 were com
pletely dedicated for online interactive sessions on different issues and challenges related
to primary education along with delivery of Demo Lessons by the participants. The last 01
hour session on each day was planned for different offline work by the participants,
where they have been different productive tasks to accomplish which will be benefited
both for students and teachers as well.
The following activities conducted during these 12 days course where all the participants
whole heartedly participated from their working place through Online for successful
execution of the training programme.
The Participants were divided into 04 groups named after the 04 subjects of primary
section English, Hindi, Math & EVS.
The activities conducted during this 12 days were
Morning Yoga Session by all the participants, resource persons from 07.30 AM to 08.30
AM on each day.
Morning Assembly progrmme in groups where each group were assigned the programme
on cycle basis.
Online Interactive sessions on each day where different topics relevant to primary educa-
tion and professional growth of teachers were discussed. The sessions were taken by the
Resource Persons, Course Director and Guest lectures invited from different fields of ex-
cellence and experience.
Online Demo Class by the participants on each day.
One Hour Offline session for all the participants, where each participant was assigned
some productive task to accomplish under the supervision and guidance of Resource Per-
sons.
Three Tests (Pre-Test, Mid-Test & Post-Test) also conducted to assess the understanding
level of participants on primary education as well as to exmine the effectiveness of the In-
service course.
TLM Exhibition also conducted for all the participants, where they displayed their self pre
pared ‘No Cost-Low TLMs’ and also explained how those can be integrated for an effective
teaching learning process.

VALEDICTORY FUNCTION
REPORT
The valedictory function of 1st spell of ISC 2020 for PRT was started at 3:30 PM
with a combine session of all six venues. A total of 147 members including Honour-
able Deputy Commissioner, Bhubaneswar Region Mr S. K.. Chopdar, Assistant
Commissioner Mr T. Punna Rao, Assistant Commissioner Mr A. Jyoti Kumar, Venue
Director Cuttack Mr A. K. Mishra, Venue Director Berhampur Mr B.Pattanaik, Ven-
ue Director Khordha Road Mr D. P. Sharma, Venue Director Sambalpur Mr M. K.
Srivastav, Venue Director Bolangir Mr R. K. Panigrahi, Venue Director Bhubanes-
war Dr A. K. Khatua, 18 Resource persons and 120 participants of six venues at-
tended the online Valedictory Function. The function was hosted by Mr
M.K.Srivastav , principal KV No 1,Sambalpur.
First the 12days report sent by 6 venues was presented by Mr B. Pattanaik, principal
KV Berhampur followed by impression of participants of six venues. Under cultural
programme, a song by Mr Giri of Khurdha Road and a. Poem by Reena Panda of
KV No 1,BBSR were presented. Then Assistant Commissioner Mr T. Punna Rao and
Mr A Jyoti Kumar blessed the participants with their inspiring words. Finally Hon-
ourable Deputy commissioner Mr S. K. Chopdar addressed the gathering and moti-
vated all to teach children using the Online platforms and to lead a successful life as
a Teacher. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to all venue directors, Resource
Persons, Technical Assistants and all the participants to make this online ISC 2020
for PRT a grand success.
At last, Dr. A. K. Khatua, Principal KV NO. 2,CRPF, Bhubaneswar gave the Vote of
Thanks. The valedictory Function was ended with National Anthem.
