The English Debate Competition held annually is aimed at discovering students ' talents in debate competitions. This English Debate Competition also serves as a platform for students in the Serian district to compete in debate competitions based on the international standards of the World School Debate Championship. 1
To cultivate competitive practices in speaking skills through debates at school. To produce students who will become leaders who are brave and sharp-minded and who have the skills to argue politely and spontaneously. To produce students who are skilled in expressing thoughtful and organised arguments. 2
