My name is Althea Faye B. Cabahug, I was born on March 4, 2004 in
Polomolok, South Cotabato. My parents are Romelyn B. Cabahug and
Marck Gil Cabahug. I am the primary daughter of three children. I’ve got
two younger siblings, Reyn Mark Cabahug and Ziah Marielle Cabahug.

I started studying once I was 4 years old. My grandparents were the
ones who served as my baby sitter since my parents weren’t home for
work. My mother enrolled me in Polomolok Parish Kindergarten School,
Polomolok, South Cotabato. My kindergarten days were incredibly
awesome. I achieved honors and awards. I gained friends, although I was
too young at those times. In class year 2015-2016, I graduated
elementary at Polomolok Central Elementary School. In 2019-2020, I
graduated from junior high school at St. Lorenzo School of Polomolok
Inc. Now I’m studying at St. Lorenzo School of Polomolok Inc. I am a
senior high school student now, grade 12 STEM.

My hobby is traveling, watching movies, and online shopping. I really
like traveling because it takes me to my comfort zone, I meet new
friends and try new things. Once you visit to a place, you’re confronted
with several new challenges. You will have to cope with every kind of
people and taste foods you may or may not like. I like watching movies
because it brings me relief, even if they stress me out at first it still
helps me cope with stress. And last is online shopping, I actually love
shopping online because it releases my stress.

My online learning experience was even
busier compared to the regular classes. I've
been busier than usual since we had to stay
at home due to quarantine. What I like about
learning online is that I'm not under as
much pressure to appear myself as a good
student, so I can relax and think more freely.
One thing I like about online classes is that,
it taught me how to be independent and
manage my time between family and school.

Being in a real classroom, I could focus on my work, however; online learning makes it more difficult
to focus because I have to consider household matters as well. My online learning experience is
totally different from what I'm used to in a traditional classroom setting. Online classes are an
effective teaching method. However, I prefer being in a physical classroom to learning online. Every
student, including myself, is unable to efficiently use electronic devices.
I remember when I was in grade 11, I didn't have a laptop then and I only used a cell phone that time,
it is very hard if you are not financially stable during this pandemic. In real classroom classes, my
teacher can assist me if I have any questions. However, with online classes, I am required to use the
resource on my own, and communication with my teacher is limited. My system occasionally crashes,
and poor internet connectivity makes it difficult to understand concepts. Overall, in my experience,
online classes benefit students who have appropriate technology, internet access, and other resources.

10 yrs from now...

Currently, I'm senior high school student. After I graduate senior high school,
I'm planning to take up a Pharmacy for 4 years in college. Then after graduating
from college I plan to have a training in Pharmacy. After that I will review for
the licensure examination of Pharmacist, and if I will passed the exam. 10 years
from now I can see my self having my own pharmacy with many branches.

What really makes you an SLSPIan?

As a student of SLSPIan, one must have a huge desire and passion to
learn and explore something new. As an SLSPIan, it should be
academically honest in all aspects. A good student possesses the
qualities of positivity, cooperation, and friendliness. An SLSPIan can
work in group and can motivate other students. It has a mature mind
set, consistent and persistent. Being a competitive and responsible
student of St. Lorenzo School of Polomolok, Inc.

How has the pandemic brought out the best in you?

Well the pandemic hasn’t brought the best of me but I learn to be
an independent woman and motivated day by day. I also become a
dreamer, using meditation each morning as I wake up, or at night
before I go to sleep. It helps clear my mind and open it up for
accepting new thoughts and challenges. Dreaming big gives hope to
anyone who wants to achieve more, and to find my way to make
good things happen

What significant changes have you observed from yourself?

As I grow each day, every change I experience gives me the opportunity
to learn and grow. I am an introvert before and as time goes by I have
become more open to other people around me. This year has helped me
to get into a lot of meditation. I've developed a strong desire to spend
time alone with myself. I already care about my health awareness and
my mental health. Every day is changing our lives, we must all adjust,
and I am looking forward to a future filled with more fun. and enjoying
my life to the fullest

How prepared are you going to college (scale 1-10)

7 out 10, because I don’t feel academically prepared for college
because I don’t know where to go college. College is more stressful
than senior high school. I’m not ready to take the next step but
I’m trying my best to be prepared in college, I know I have to be
more independent going to college. College is an investment, and
the rewards should outweigh the costs, just like any other
investment.

Which has really shaped you as a person: family, school, or church?

All of them, my family, school and church have shaped me being me but they all have different
ways to help me. First is my family, I can say that my family is a big part of my life without them,
I don’t know what I would do. We tend to grow apart from our families as we get older, yet we
keep them close to our hearts at the same time. I am grateful for them bringing me into this
world. They continue to fight for the best in order for us to get the best. Second is my school,
school is the place where we spend the most of our time today. I learned many things that shaped
me as a person. During my junior high school days I was very shy and introvert but now I'm out
of my comfort zone. I learned how to make friends and interact with the other people. Lastly is
church, my faith has shaped who I am completely, even though I don't go to church every Sunday.
By praying make you feel better yourself, it might serve as a powerful influence to us.

After a month there is a problem that
I encounter which is the leaves of the
plants become yellowish because of
the sunlight. Every morning I check my
plants and observe them every day. I

conducted my research through
praying, having breakdowns, and
attempting to solve problems. I try

and try to make my research
successful because it always failed. I
deal with it by having breakdowns and
feeling unmotivated and exhausted at
the same time. However, these errors

motivate me to work harder and
complete the task. I constantly hope
that despite my poor time management,
laziness, and breakdowns, I will be

able to complete my research and
make it to the final defense day and
thanked God I made it to final defense.

My name is Andrea Lynn C. Bernales, I’m 18 years old, I was born on
November 9, 2003, I'm currently a grade 12 student of SLSPI, and I’m the
only child in a family of three. My parents are Vivelyn Rose Bernales and
Roger Bernales. My name Andrea is an English name that means strong
and brave, and I was named after an artist. I'm the type of person who's
shy when I'm not close to someone or people I've just met, but I'm
talkative to the people who are close to me. I'm also a quiet person
but, sometimes, I can't stand being quiet for a long time. I love being
alone and doing my own business. Sometimes I don't like loud people
because I gives me a headache when someone is talking too much. In
addition to that, many people told me I'm kind, easygoing, and
respectful.
Because they are the only ones I have, they take care of me, and they
don't neglect me. Many people told me that I look like my father, but I
don't see our resemblance. I like pets, especially dogs. When I'm bored, I
always play with them. My extended family lives in Koronadal city, I see
them once a month. I'm happy when I'm with my friends because we get
along when it comes to spending on kpop merch.
I had a memorable childhood because my parents always allowed me to
play with other kids in our neighborhood, and I have a lot of cousins
that is why even if I'm the only child, I didn't feel loneliness. My first
memory was when we went to Cebu and Bohol because that's the first
time, I rode a plane to Cebu and a ship to Bohol. And the memory I will
never forget is when we went to Iloilo, and we experienced typhoon
Yolanda. My favorite sport is swimming, and I joined several
competitions when I was young, I have a lot of hobbies such as drawing,
sleeping, eating, and many more. The reason why I have a lot of hobbies
it's because I get bored easily.

Many were affected by the pandemic,
especially us students. A lot of parents
say that online class is easy, but as a
student , it really isnt. It is difficult to
adjust to the new method of learning. I
thought online learning was easy because
I was studying at home, but I was wrong
for me, the online class is more difficult
compared to face-to-face classes.

At first, I was excited to study because it's been a long time since I was able to
study because the classes started late, I was motivated to learn new lessons because
I wanted to get high grades so that when I go to college, I won't have a hard time
enrolling. I got to the point where I lost my desire for learning because I felt lazy
and tired.

But I didn’t give up because I was graduating. one of the things I noticed in this
online class is that we have a lot of assignments, and we are busier now in online
classes compared to face-to-face classes. But even though we are busy with so
much work to do, I'm still happy because I finish my tasks on time, and I don't get to
the point where my tasks pile up.

10 yrs from now...
Currently, I'm a senior high school STEM student, After I graduate senior high
school, I'm planning to take up BS I.T. Because a lot of people encouraged me to
take up I.T, and computer courses have many opportunities anywhere in the
country, not only in the Philippines but also in the other countries. If I have free
time, I will review for the civil service exam because my parents told me that I
will try to take the exam, and if I pass, I can work in the government. After I
graduate college, I plan to find a stable job so I can earn my own money. And 10
years from now, I see myself as happy and contented with what I have, and I hope
that I still have the stable job I love.

What really makes you an SLSPIan?

What makes me a SLSPIan is that it molds me to
become competitive, obedient, and courageous. And in
addition to that, even if I'm competitive as the other
students of SLSPI they taught us to respect each
other and treat each other right, and that makes me a
SLSPIan.

How has the pandemic brought out the best in you?

The pandemic brought the best in me because I was able to
discover new hobbies and bring out the best version of
myself, I was able to handle myself properly, and in that way
can make myself happy and satisfied with what I have right
now also, I can manage my problems by thinking a solution
immediately so that it would not escalate.

What significant changes have you observed from yourself?

The changes I observe in myself are, I become more mature, I can
manage myself more especially when I have a problem, I don't run away
from it, but instead, I face it, and I immediately think of a solution for
my problem, so that it can be anticipated earlier and not grow further.
And in addition to that, I always take care of myself, especially my
mental health, because the online class is exhausting which is why I
always condition myself before attending our classes.

qquueessttiioonn&&aannsswweerr i

How prepared are you going to college (scale 1-10)

8 out of 10, Because I feel excited about going to college because
I want to experience a new environment, I also want to make new
friends, and also, I'm curious about my course which excites me
more about going to college. A lot of people told me that college is
hard, and I am aware of that, but at the same time, my
excitement dominates because even though I know I will have a
hard time, I also know that I will enjoy.

Which has really shaped you as a person: family, school, or church?

For me, my family, the school, and the church shaped me as a person.
because my family helped me in the times, I was having a hard time, they
guided me on the right path to be a good person, the school is my second
home, and I also learned a lot in the school that I can take to the future,
and our teachers are also here to guide us on the right path, and lastly,
the church helped me to be strong every day, without the lord, I'm
nothing, and to him, I draw strength and guidance for my everyday life.

Growing a plant is frustrating
because when it dies, I feel sad. I want
them to grow healthy, so I do my best
for them to survive and also for our
research subject. I was nervous when
the defense was close because I was
alone, and the panels might make me
suffer, but I was wrong because their
question was easy, and I can say that I

did not have a hard time with the
defense. When the defense was over, I

was happy because I passed the
research alone, and I am also
thankful to the people who helped me

to fix my research paper.
