Equally at home on stage and in the recording booth, he has performed on stages throughout the world and has lent his voice to audiobooks, commercials, and voiceovers of all sorts. Some recent performances include The Secret Garden (Theatre Calgary), Mamma Mia! (Tweed & Co), Merry Widow (Toronto Operetta Theatre), West Side Story (Windsor Symphony Orchestra), and Kamouraska (Opera in Concert). Matt would like to thank his wife, Sam, and his three young boys, Josiah, Elias, and Asher, for always supporting their “daddy singing songs!” MIKAYLA BRANCO Mikayla Branco returns to Petrolia after previously enjoying a frolickin’ great time performing in Hogan’s Hoedown in 2019. Mikayla brings with her years of experience in dance and the performing arts. She trained in many styles including ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre and acrobatics. Mikayla was part of Team Canada and brought home various medals from an international stage. Mikayla achieved teaching memberships with both the B.A.T.D. and Acrobatic Arts and is currently on staff at All 4 One Dance Company in London, Ontario. Mikayla choreographs for the competitive dance team and continues to train and perform herself, always striving to further her education and talent. Mikayla attends Western University and is pursuing a Bachelor of Education to teach secondary school. Claire graduated last month from the Music Theatre Performance Program at St. Clair College. Her final roles at St. Clair include Jennyanydots & Griddlebone in Cats and solo/ ensemble performances with Ben Davis and the Windsor Symphony Orchestra. Claire began her musical journey as a violinist at the age of three. Other theatre highlights include Brigitta in The Sound of Music (Drayton Entertainment), Evita and Shakespeare: The Mixtape (Grand Theatre). Claire is indebted to her family and those who have supported and inspired her career! EMILY MASURKEVITCH Emily is so excited to be returning to VPP for another fun filled show. Delighted to be in the cast of Oil Rush, it feels like the theatre is home…however, currently living in London, Ontario, Mark is a native Newfoundlander, equally at home on the stage or in the studio, singing, playing, conducting, composing and arranging. In addition to multiple degrees in classical piano performance, he has performed as a soloist and collaborator throughout Canada and the US. Mark was the resident opera coach at Western University for 10 years, and has worked as vocal coach and repetiteur for Pacific Opera Victoria, Calgary Opera and the Merola Opera Program. He has been the resident Musical Director at the Victoria Playhouse Petrolia since 2011, where he arranges the music for the entire 6-show season, rehearses the casts, and performs in most of the shows. His broad vocal and pianistic skills span every conceivable genre - classical, jazz, pop, opera, folk and country, to name but a few. He co-conducts and writes many choral arrangements for Primus Amabile Men’s Choir in London. As an arranger, Mark has orchestrated and performed The Crooner with Michael Vanhevel, as well as his own I Love A Piano with several Canadian orchestras.

He honed his craft studying voice at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, and acting at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City. From Classical to Rock, Paul’s love for music spans genres, reflected in his diverse performances. Noteworthy roles include Maxwell in The Andrew Brothers and contributions to the captivating cast of Good Ol’ Country Gospel (VPP). Last year, he performed as Don in Kinky Boots and reprised his role in Good Ol’ Country Gospel (Drayton Entertainment). Paul is also a songwriter, and loves spending time creating his own music. Locally, she is known for her work at the Imperial Theatre as an actress in The Wolves (#25), Clue (Cook), and The Music Lesson (Kat), as well as Director for Sarnia-Lambton Rebound’s theatre program, Act II. Her humble beginnings in the Theatre Sarnia Youth Group has led her to this position as Wardrobe Coordinator for Victoria Playhouse Petrolia. She is thrilled to begin her professional career alongside such a strong team! Maddisyn is grateful for the support from her fiancée and family. She is a graduate of the University of Waterloo’s Theatre and Performance and History programs. She is also an alumnus of the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity Lighting Technician Practicum Program. Productions Credits Include: Fiddler on the Loose (Drayton Festival Theatre), Welcome to the Tree Museum (University of Waterloo), Turn of the Screw (Western University), Le nozze di Figaro (Western University), Entangled (Impact Festival 2017), Eurydice (University of Waterloo). KELTIN STANNERS Technical Crew Keltin is a very energetic and involved person here at the VPP. He enjoys the variety of tasks that he gets to take on and is very happy to be back this season. Keltin’s looking forward to the new roles he is going to take on along with his favourite part - chatting with all the patrons. Enjoy the show! PAT MORRISON Sound Designer In the middle of his sixth decade, struggling to embrace his mortality, Pat finds comfort in feeding his addictions which include playing squash, chasing Doritos with port, serving as the minister at Grace United Church in Sarnia, playing pranks on Mark Payne, operating a production company, and designing sound for shows at the Victoria Playhouse. If he lives to retirement, Pat wants to build guitars with his hands. LAURA POLAND Technical Crew This is Laura’s second summer season with the VPP. She lives in the great Town of Petrolia and is attending high school at L.C.C.V.I. Being raised by a musical family, she has a rich background in the subject with many talents, but most enjoys playing the guitar. Currently her interests include graphic design and honing her skills as a barista at a local coffee shop. Laura is thrilled to be back with her VPP family and hopes everyone enjoys the show!
