Committee Meeting Update 03/26/2019

This Month’s Review: Pinewood derby
Likes: It was fun. Ran quickly. Plenty of food.
Dislikes:
Changes:
• Make sure each track runs the same software next year.
• We need to test the projectors more in advance.
• Call Races by Name and not just car number
• Reserve the first 2 rows of seats for kids so they can see better and not crowd the front
as much

family to support our scouts! Dinner will be provided.

We will have a raffle/auction again this year to help offset to cost of the event, and it’s as blast for the
kids! Please start thinking about items to donate. If you have items already, you can bring them to
Ray at any time.

Some of last year’s items: • private whiskey tasking for 4 people
• Legos • set of potted succulents
• Toys • wine/beer gift baskets
• RC cars • Movie Gift Certificates
• art supplies

Pack T-Shirts
We are working on putting together another t-shirt and sweatshirt order for class-b (pack t-
shirts) Details coming soon. If you are new to the pack, we still have pack t-shirts from our last
order. They are $10 each. We have Kids and Adult sizes. Please see Ray if you are interested.

Camp Card Update
Camp cards are one of the two official fundraising opportunities offered in our council. Camp
cards are discount cards that have lots of coupons and discounts to various stores. They cost $5
and we make 50% on each sale. Unlike popcorn, the profit is applied to the scout who sells
them and can be used to pay for scout camping fees! If a scout sells 20 cards, they will get $50
in their account to help pay for things like summer day camp, Camp Josepho, Camp Whitset,
Camp Emerald Bay, even Camporee if they choose.
We have camp cards and jerky on hand. We will be distributing camp cards to the
scouts in April to sell to friends and family. We will also be setting up boothing location for
those scouts/parents that would like to sell even more cards!

Long Term Plans
• Annual Planning Conference – End of May (21st )? This will be to set the pack calendar and
