Importance of Being
Well Groomed
Grooming has benefits that range from feeling good to
making great first impressions. It helps you excel in all
aspects of your life.
Often, your appearance is the first chance for you to
present yourself well to others, which is you should
make sure you’re taking care of your look.
The following are benefits of being well-groomed :
o Confidence : When you look great externally, you’ll
feel more confident and realize that you can
achieve more. It gives you the confidence to do
your best in all walks of life.
o Better Hygiene : It’s not completely about having
nice hair and wearing well-fitting clothes. Grooming
yourself also shows that you care about personal
hygiene, which makes you more enjoyable to be
around.
o Attractiveness : Being well-groomed and wearing
well-fitting clothes makes you more attractive
because you’ll look put-together.
o Get Compliments : By looking good and well-kept,
you’ll draw positive attention to your self. People
will compliment you on how good you look and
smell.
&PERSONAL HYGIENE
SANITATION
Every hospitality employee has to really pay a good attention to
his/her personal hygiene and self sanitation, outside or within the
working environment.
Here’s how :
1. Shower twice, daily.
2. Use deodorant or perfume fairly, our scent should not linger after
we leave.
3. Shave or remove facial hair daily for male associates.
4. Shaves legs and underarms for female associates.
5. Brush our teeth periodically during shower, after each meal and
after having some cigarettes. Use mouth freshener if necessary.
6. Maintain our health by checking up to a doctor periodically.
7. Wash our hands after each activity, especially after going to the
toilet, before and after each meal and cigarettes, and before going
back to our activities. Washing our hands is also very important
before we handle any foods.
8. Wear mask and follow health protocol to prevent Covid-19 Virus.
