4 STAGES IN WEB DESIGN…

• 1. Plan your content
• 2. Wireframe your design
• 3. Create web pages
• 4. Publish your website

1. PLAN YOUR CONTENT

• Brainstorming starts here
• Arguably the longest stage in web design
• Organizing the structure, tabs and images, and devising a plan to how users

will reach the website are just some of many ideas that go into planning the
content that will be used to create a web page.

2. WIREFRAME YOUR DESIGN

• A blueprint or rough draft of what will be on the website
• Navigation bars, welcome page, mission statement, etc.
• Amount of pages, what happens if you click on a certain tab, and the

functionality of a web page occurs in this stage.

3. CREATE WEB PAGES

• Thought process and designing is done, now it’s time to create
• Language to create web page should be decided here (HTML, CSS, XTML,

Ruby, etc.
• Layout, images, and creativity should all go in when creating a web page

4. PUBLISH YOUR WEBSITE

• Time to publish the website and make it public
• The audience can now access and use the website in this stage
• Domain name, link, and web address are needed to publish a web page

and make it public to everyone
