Lovely Gastro-pub in the Heart of Farnham

A last-minute decision to go
out for dinner midweek found
my husband and I wandering
into The Wheatsheaf.

Upon arrival, it clearly stated they were still
adhering to the Government advice and were
retaining a mask wearing and table service policy.
Luckily, I don’t go anywhere now without a couple
in my bag! It didn’t matter though as when we
entered the bar there were plenty available for
customers to use.

It had a really nice cosy feel surrounded by
classy décor and friendly staff. The outside
courtyard looked welcoming, and the open plan
kitchen is an added delight where you can watch
the Chefs create the range of dishes from the
menu.

I was instantly drawn to the Hot Lava Stone
section of the menu. A real novel concept
where you cook your own choice of either steak,
swordfish or tuna on a volcanic lava stone sourced
from Mount Etna. These stones are heated to
over four hundred degrees Fahrenheit! We opted
for the Chateaubriand for two which came with
various side options to compliment the main.

We ordered “Two For One” cocktails from
their drinks menu before switching to their Gin
options.

Sadly, we didn’t have room for pudding
however I couldn’t help but notice the ones which
were being served to a family at a table not too far
away and they looked yummy!

with a new look Food Village for young families wanting to eat early.

Entertainment will be laid on throughout the evening, starting at 5pm,
including live music, Taiko youth drumming group, a compere from
Frimley Hospital Radio, live band‘Late To The Party’, and re performers!

The Procession will leave Central Car Park at 6pm.

Local schools will again enter the guy competition, which will be judged by
the Mayor before the bon re is lit at 7:15pm.
