DISTRICT UPDATES

WE R

2017-18 RI Theme: “Rotary: Making A Follow us on
Difference” Instagram

2017-18 Rotaract District 7030 Theme:
“Make A Difference, Leave Your Mark”

“We R”

The Four Way Test and the motto ‘Service above Self’ we recite by heart is now our way of life. Rotary in 1962 and 1968 created
Interact and Rotaract respectively, for the purpose of bringing ‘Service above Self’ to the next generation. Each of us has agreed
to this ideology by accepting membership in our respective clubs. Rotary, Rotaract and Interact are bound by the common thread
of altruism.

We must recognize that this is the blood in our veins; the sunlight to our leaves; and the nuclear fusion in our Sun. It is with these
commonalities in mind that these plans and objectives are designed. The ultimate goal of this year’s Theme is to focus on the
blood, sunlight and nuclear fusion that we all have and not limit ourselves to separation, based on differences in name and/or age.
To reach more and to impact more we need to combine our efforts and let Rotary shine. The theme “We R” is just the reference
we will use to remember that “We are One!”.

It is the plan to ensure that we; Rotary, Rotaract and Interact; continue to touch lives together. We are a selfless group. This year,
let’s develop even more our understanding

and relationship. Understanding opens the gateway to foster increased appreciation. Increased appreciation for one another will
cause our relationships to bloom. Our service is to put humanity first; as such we must continue to execute projects that bring
benefits to others. While simultaneously increasing project collaboration and more involvement of all Rotary partners.

The Rotaract experience is embodied in various facets of life: diligence, service to the community, fellowship, professional influ-
ence and fun. It is through these experiences that the young capitalize on their age to achieve what they may not have without
the opportunity of Rotaract, Rotary partners. This single fact once used, in the various contexts as per country, will allow Rota-
ry to continue to impact each community, country and the world.
