The surface of the woven textiles

techniques, from batik-style
painting where colour-resist
lines imitate nature—leaves and
flowers—in contemporary colours,
wax drawings that resemble
cracked, parched soil, and prints
using the marbling art technique,
to eco-prints from natural objects
without the use of chemicals.

have been presented through colours that are the pride

The colour palette of Natural Essence has been inspired
by the beauty of bio-technology and the chemical reactions
of minerals that result in vivid and unusual colours, not to
mention the extraction of significant matter that interconnects
all living things in nature, and the wondrous beauty of
marine life. The energy of this colour palette is derived
from the combustion of clarity and natural colorations,
not from chemical reactions. They include Fah Planokkaew
blue—from the parrot fish that is abundant in the warm seas
of Thailand, the shining scales of which refract light into
an iridescent shade of blue and green, Lued Mangda—a dusty
blue borrowed from the shade of the marine creature found in
the seas of Phuket, Khiao Chlorophyll green, Chompoo Utaitip
pink, Numtalay Chaifung blue, Loha Ngern silver, Num Dork
Unchun blue, and Kaminpong yellow. All of these embody
the dynamic qualities and hope of mankind for the future.
