  Dear
 KG,

I
 am
 writing
 to
 express
 my
 interest
 in
 becoming
 a
 stylist
 at
 The
 Final

Touch.
 I
 have
 just
 finished
 Cosmetology
 School
 and
 I
 am
 ready
 to

learn
 even
 more
 in
 your
 salon.
 I
 have
 an
 abundance
 of
 experience
 in

Customer
 Service
 giving
 I
 have
 worked
 in
 many
 retail
 positions.
 I

have
 also
 worked
 as
 a
 Receptionist
 in
 a
 thriving
 salon
 in
 your
 area,

that
 position
 had
 sparked
 my
 interest
 in
 this
 creative
 field.

I
 have
 visited
 your
 salon
 on
 a
 few
 occasions
 and
 I
 am
 confident
 I
 am

exactly
 what
 you
 need
 there.
 Your
 salon
 is
 very
 inviting
 and
 the

stylists
 all
 represent
 warmth
 and
 are
 helpful
 from
 what
 I
 have

experienced
 shadowing
 at
 your
 salon.

 I
 believe
 I
 can
 bring
 a
 young,

fresh
 take
 on
 the
 field
 to
 your
 team.
 My
 background
 includes
 many

retail
 positions
 like
 I’ve
 said,
 but
 I’ve
 also
 worked
 in
 unseen

positions.
 Both
 positions
 require
 team
 players
 and
 loyal
 members.
 I

represent
 both
 of
 those
 attributes.

My
 enclosed
 resume
 will
 serve
 to
 provide
 you
 with
 greater
 details
 of

my
 background
 and
 what
 I
 have
 to
 offer.

I
 will
 call
 your
 office
 within
 a
 few
 days
 to
 set
 up
 a
 meeting
 with
 you.

Thank
 you
 for
 your
 consideration

Respectfully
 yours,

Krislyn Glass

Growing up, cosmetology wasn’t my first choice for a career. I loved getting my
hair done, but I had a different passion. I knew I wanted to make people feel good, so I
chose the culinary path. When I finished. I started working in the field and decided that it
wasn’t for me. I still wanted to go down a path that would make people feel good,
though. I had accepted the fact that I would probably be working in an office for the rest
of my life. I then decided that I needed more experience on my resume other than kitchen
experience. At that moment, my step mother offered up the opportunity of becoming the
receptionist at her thriving hair salon. This would be a huge change for me because I was
used to working in the back of the house. There were never requirements of how we had
to look because no one would see us. Going from that to a job where I would be the first
face you would see when you would step into a business revolving around beauty
sounded challenging. I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. Doing my hair and
makeup every day made me feel so much better about myself. I loved meeting new
people every day and forming relationships with them. I loved selling customers products
to where they could achieve the looks they were receiving in the salon at home. I also
discovered that I enjoyed watching the stylists perform their services on guests. It was
mesmerizing to watch a stylist give a haircut and blow dry in less than 30 minutes and
not understand anything about how they did it. I loved watching clients come in with one
hair color and leaving with a complete different hair color. I loved watching clients leave
feeling one hundred times better than they did when they came in. I saw the happiness
that I had always wanted base my career on. This field would do exactly what I’ve
always wanted to do; make people happy. I then pursued going to Cosmetology and the
rest is history. I’m super excited about my future.

To
 Whom
 It
 May
 Concern:

I
 am
 writing
 this
 reference
 at
 the
 request
 of
 Krislyn
 Glass,
 I
 have

known
 Krislyn
 for
 two
 years
 in
 my
 capacity
 as
 an
 adjunct
 Cosmetology

Instructor
 at
 San
 Jacinto
 College’s
 central
 campus.

 Krislyn
 was
 a

student
 in
 two
 of
 my
 courses
 and
 earned
 superior
 grades
 in
 both.

Based
 on
 Krislyn’s
 grades,
 attendance,
 and
 class
 participation,
 I’d
 rate

her
 performance
 in
 my
 class
 as
 exceptional.

Krislyn
 has
 many
 strengths
 to
 offer
 an
 employer.
 She
 is
 a
 hard
 worker,

on
 time,
 and
 eager
 to
 learn.
 I
 have
 been
 impressed
 with
 her
 ability
 to

manage
 during
 hectic
 times,
 by
 remaining
 calm,
 and
 always
 keeping

the
 customer
 happy.

 Krislyn
 gets
 along
 well
 with
 her
 peers,
 as
 well
 as

the
 educational
 team.

In
 conclusion,
 I
 would
 highly
 recommend
 Krislyn.
 If
 her
 performance

in
 my
 classes
 is
 any
 indication
 of
 how
 she’ll
 perform
 in
 the
 available

position,
 she
 will
 be
 an
 extremely
 positive
 addition
 to
 your

organization.
 If
 you
 need
 any
 additional
 information,
 feel
 free
 to

contact

To
 Whom
 it
 May
 Concern

I
 am
 writing
 a
 reference
 letter
 for
 Krislyn
 Glass.

I
 have
 known
 Krislyn
 personally
 for
 all
 of
 her
 life.
 I
 have
 watched
 her

grow
 into
 a
 wonderful
 young
 lady.
 Over
 the
 years,
 I’ve
 seen
 her
 passion

for
 loving
 people
 expand.
 While
 juggling
 a
 work
 and
 school
 schedule,

she
 would
 even
 volunteer
 countless
 hours
 at
 her
 church
 helping
 clean

and
 work
 in
 the
 children’s
 ministry.
 She
 loves
 to
 love,
 help,
 and
 make

you
 feel
 good
 about
 yourself.

Krislyn
 is
 very
 charismatic
 and
 loyal,
 which
 is
 a
 necessity
 in
 an

employee.
 She
 would
 fit
 in
 perfectly
 in
 your
 salon
 from
 what
 I’ve
 seen.

She
 is
 both
 artistic
 and
 creative.
 For
 as
 long
 as
 I
 can
 remember,
 Krislyn

has
 always
 put
 people’s
 needs
 before
 her
 own.

As
 I
 have
 said,
 Krislyn
 has
 all
 of
 the
 characteristics
 you
 need
 for
 you

salon.
 Now
 that
 she
 is
 classically
 trained
 from
 San
 Jacinto
 Community

College,
 I
 believe
 she
 has
 everything
 you
 are
 looking
 for.
 Please

consider
 her
 as
 a
 future
 employee
 of
 your
 salon.

Please
 contact
 me
 if
 you
 have
 any
 further
 questions.
