In 2011 Meridian opened its doors to 600
students. Since then the number of students.
staff members, and even the square footage,
has more than doubled! This was due in large
part to the support and generosity of the
school's amazing families.

In 2016 Meridian now celebrates an im-
portant milestone and welcomes parents,
grandparents, and friends to join in as we
celebrate 5 years and still growing strong...

From the humble beginnings of trucking in
books from San Antonio to start a library...to
creating international flag art from discarded
magazines...and having a stage made of
plywood so it could be easily stored and
brought out wherever the next performance
may take place...we've come a long way...

Meridian's Phase VI will open in August of
2016 with a state-of-the-art library, a full size
gym, an art room with kiln, a band hall, black
box theatre, and a full size gymnasium with a
stage and concessions area.

The Secondary Library is truly the heart of Meridian's new
building. Two stories tall and complete with skylights, this
room is filled with natural light. With views up to the second
floor mezzanine and open to the main corridor, this space
will be frequented by both Middle and High School students.

band and orchestra concerts, and more! With custom stage
curtains and a complete rigging system, this stage will show-
case our talented students in style.

From the very first day, Meridian has been on
a fast track to becoming an International
Baccalaureate continuum school, offering the
IB's Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma
Programmes.

Currently authorized as both a PYP and DP
school - and a candidate school for the MYP -
the full IB continuum is well within reach.

The classrooms of Phase VI will provide an
atmosphere for students to continue their IB
education from grades six through twelve.

Prior to 2011, 2555 N IH-35 was just another
empty office building. That all changed when
the school year began in August and hun-
dreds of students flooded the halls. It quickly
became apparent that these children were
going to need outdoor spaces to run and play
...and fast!

Thanks to the time, talent, and fundraising
skills of parents, the playground was built...
and outdoor basketball goals were installed...
and the founders' vision for garden spaces
came to fruition...but the plans for the outdoor
spaces don't have to end there...

BUTTERFLY BENCH

Imaginations are free to run wild with these beautiful
works of art! Full of whimsy and delight, these butterfly
benches will be right at home in Meridian's wildflower
garden and certified Monarch Way Station for years to
come.

TEACHER BENCH
$2,000

Nestled between the musical playground and wildflower
garden is a beautiful oak tree awaiting this custom bench.
Not only will our teachers and students have a shaded place

to rest and observe, but it will also provide much needed
protection for its exposed roots. Consider naming it in honor

of a teacher who has touched your child's life.

TRIBUTE BENCH

Dedicate a bench in honor of a friend or loved one. These
benches will find a home on the playgrounds, school
entrances, and other outdoor spaces at Meridian.

CAFE SEATING

Directly off the new cafeteria is a covered space for
Middle and High School students to dine alfresco. With
room for several tables and plantings, this outdoor
seating area will be transformed into a lovely patio for
dining and collaborating. Naming plaque included.

It's a table...no, wait, it's two benches. Oh, it's both!
The versatile design of this table/bench combo will allow
the perfect setting for an outdoor classroom. Adjacent to
the school's gardens and under the cover of our beautiful

oak trees, this will make a lovely space for learning and
dining. Naming plaque is included.

STEPPING STONES

Which learner profile trait do you identify with?
Pick one, two, or ten...then share it on a stone!
These stones will create a path through the wildflower
garden, allowing students to explore the different plants and
wildlife while keeping the natural beauty protected.
